Oh man that big station wagon is so awesome. It needs to be restored! It really does. If only I was much younger. Rust free? Oh yes. I’m 76 and so tired. Redoing my last Mustang. Hope someone redoes it!
man I'm really glad you couldn't control yourself. I thought those 3 window hudsons went far far to cheap. You buying that little hudson jet made my day. If I wasn't 2000 miles away I'd buy from you in a heart beat.
* That wagon is a 1960 Plymouth Suburban Custom ! Rare even back in the day. That continental kit on the Jet is a Brownie Tire Kit made by Brown Manufacturing.
Funny thing is, when you take us to an auction and win something, I feel like we’ve won as a group or family. Lots of fun. BTW, your. Family priorities are spot on.
The 60 Plymouth is a very rare car. I own two 60 plymouth fin cars restored back to original condition. If you need any advice on restoring this car let me know. Great car. Looks like it is Gold and green interior. Rare car! I'm doing a conquers restoration on a 65 Rambler American 440 Convertible 232 motor ,rare car. rust free Calif Car. If I wasn't doing this car I would probably buy the station wagon from you. Hopefully whoever gets the wagon restores it back to original. Thanks for the video. Nice find!
Great to see you saving some from the crusher - I told my wife at the beginning of the video 'I bet Silas won't buy 2 he'll buy 6' I was wrong but I knew it would be more than 2!!!! Nice piece of automotive history!
A little surprised that the three Studebaker Star lites went so cheap. Thank for showing us all this vintage iron and very pleased that not too much of the good stuff went for scrap.
Quite a auction! My favorite cars? Those two door packards, VERY rare and unusual! I would bet huge money to be made on those. No clue what the market is on the Hudson Jet, but that is another really rare one. With that continental kit? I'd would bet just that kit alone worth several times what you spent on the entire car. I sure wish I were younger, I'd be buying and saving a lot of those cars.
Another few cars saved, thank you for doing your part to help the car community. Take a basketball or football and deflate it and stick it in the door frame of that beautiful station wagon making sure the window is up but not tightly rolled up. Inflate the ball and the dent in the door should come out. 😊😊
Those 49 Packard 2dr coupes would make great rat rods!! Went very cheap! I also liked that 65 Pontiac Catalina! But you brought home some good ones. Love the wagon!
Favorites of the ones you bought: The '60 GMC, Hudson Jet and Dodge Phoenix. I NEVER heard of a Dodge Phoenix. I wonder what the story was how Pontiac got the rights to that name. I noticed that Hudson Jet has an aluminum cylinder head on the flat head engine. That has to be extremely rare, just like the car. My favorites overall were the '63 Buick wagon w/roof rack, '68 Buick LeSabre and the Packard 2-doors. Favorite.
All the Cars and Truck You bought were my Favorites - of cause the little Hudson was so Cute - glad You bought it - Price was Right - very Cool old Cars - Great Hood Ornaments and Chrome Pieces - Love that Stick Insect crawling on You ! You bought 11.5 Cars and Truck - well done and You sounded very Happy ! Love those Auction and many Cheers from Australia !!!!
Hey Silas, Another really well produced auction video! You might consider another video when you have all these wins you bought back at your yard explaining what each cost you added to the transportation cost, in other words net at your yard. More great, attention holding video! Thanks, DrRick
Silas, sometimes there's a fine line between controlling yourself and saving something worthwhile. I think you made a good balance in this auction. Maybe it costs you a little but you probably will still come out on top if you sell at least some of it for a decent price. 😃👍👍
Hudson JET. I Learned to drive a standard shift on the one we had - similat to the one you bought. My dad, who had no taste in car colors (in the mid-50's), painted the poor car bright, metallic green.
As a child in the mid 60s me and the neighborhood kids were facinated by and liked to handle those big fins, they were gettin rare by then. 🤓 Thanks Silas, stayin tuned! 🤠👍 (Liked to have seen you get the Olds Vista Cruiser and I like the 59 Ford)
I wouldn’t mind getting those Dodge ( 70’s )Trucks, I have a project that would be excellent for the Hot Rod Power Tour. I also looking for a Chevrolet or GM C10 truck preferably the long bed.
Great video, did you see Mr Goodpliers there, there was 1 rare car that had Over Drive as an option that he was interested in, That place had lots of stuff
I knew when you said you were only going to buy two vehicles I wondered how quickly that would go out the window 😉😄 that's usually when you buy so much more. Great auction video, hoping you get your treasures back safely. Stay safe and GOD bless
How does one person collect so many cars I think a lot of those went for more than I would have paid for them That wagon is the best glad you got that one Salis 👍👍
Incredibly beautiful out there. I hate to see collections like this disappear. In the middle of nowhere .Very sad. Granted, some are very bad, but some I think could be brought back.
when i was young my dad drove a 60 Seneca six cylinder push button automatic while my mom tooled around in a 60 phoenix 318 three on the tree as their daily drivers.
1959 Ford was my favorite
I laugh every time you say you are going to control yourself 😅
I did. If I had a bigger trailer and time I’d have owned at least 50 of those cars 😂
Stationwagon was my favorite! 😊😊😊
Oh man that big station wagon is so awesome. It needs to be restored! It really does. If only I was much younger. Rust free? Oh yes. I’m 76 and so tired. Redoing my last Mustang. Hope someone redoes it!

The GMC truck was a steal ,but actually 😊 all your vehicles were a great deal .
Great to see you saving some from the crusher - I told my wife at the beginning of the video 'I bet Silas won't buy 2 he'll buy 6' I was wrong but I knew it would be more than 2!!!! Nice piece of automotive history!

The Plymouth wagon is a great find! Somebody is going to half to have it
As always, you want to buy very little, at most 2. In the end it's 10, very steadfast^^ Greetings from Germany

Cool Virgil Exner designed Wagon, thats definitely a rare bird and piece coming out of the better times.
I lost that auctioneer right after he said "Good afternoon." I want that big beautiful Plymmy wagon.
Great video, Silas!

He's a good dude.

I saw that white Scout. Parts for those are bringing good money. Plymouth wagon you got is definitely my favorite.
The drone footage at the beginning was great. I assume that you were able to save your drone. Good job.
Silas, sometimes there's a fine line between controlling yourself and saving something worthwhile. I think you made a good balance in this auction. Maybe it costs you a little but you probably will still come out on top if you sell at least some of it for a decent price. 😃👍👍
The white scout reminds me of the one my dad bought new in 1971. I also liked the old 53? Buick.
Thanks for the adventure, Silas!

The intro music was so beautiful. Thank you.

Great video, did you see Mr Goodpliers there, there was 1 rare car that had Over Drive as an option that he was interested in, That place had lots of stuff
He was at a different sale that day. Joe was bidding for him.
I knew when you said you were only going to buy two vehicles I wondered how quickly that would go out the window 😉😄 that's usually when you buy so much more. Great auction video, hoping you get your treasures back safely. Stay safe and GOD bless

How does one person collect so many cars
I think a lot of those went for more than I would have paid for them
That wagon is the best glad you got that one Salis 👍👍
I don’t know. It kind of just happens. My property was a bare piece of land less than 3 years ago and now there are nearly 600 vehicles in it 😆
