- In this video, I ask the question will it run on this big old Fiat-Allis Bulldozer after it had been left sitting in the harsh Australian bush for many years. I had no history on the machine so I had to familiarise myself with what makes it tick and what parts needed attention before I attempted to give it a second chance at life. To me, it looks like a similar size to a D6 or older D7 Caterpillar Dozer and I have no information as to why it was left abandoned in this particular spot. I hope you all enjoy watching the video as much as I enjoyed working on this old Dozer. Thanks for watching!

They were a bad ass Bulldozer. My uncle drove a few cats and got his middle finger ripped out of joint between the lever and dash.

Just going on your chat about working with people in the bush,inused to do bit for a down round canyonleigh NSW,e before i moved away.was always a good day spent and i always learnt lots about the bush and machinery.so much knowledge lost when the elderly are no longer with us.

Nice one, amazing how these old dozers start after so long. Our D7 was sitting for 15 years b 4 it started. Took a day, but it went easy in the end. D8 start, hell yes!

This is by far my favourite channel on UA-cam. It's such a shame that the knowledge of people like Bruce is slowly dying out all over the world, preserving it in this format is excellent

My old next door neighbour was similar to Bruce. He died a few years ago. It’s true a lot of people with skills and knowledge are departing this world. The lack of skills is already having an effect on us.
@@TKevinBlanc Those fellas and Bruce are still in the minority. When some states a statistic and another person (you in this case) replies back with individual examples, well that sorta means you're beyond hope--not understanding the mathematics of statistics😄. It really is a throwaway society and the old stuff gets left to rot because someone wants the newest, latest and greatest as is the way of all obsolescence. Now there are a growing list of "Will it run?" channels emerging on this platform, probably 5 new ones a day trying to cash in on the magic, but they're still a vast minority.
The day we stop staying busy is the day we die! Bruce you run circles around these kids today. Thanks for the motivation!

Its just amazing how the old monsters can sit like that and then given a little bit of love they have their candle lit again. I enjoy your passion about how you do things. Beauty Mate..I am 70yrs young and did drive a D4 back when I was a nipper, but are now into 70's tractors and backhoes...I been living overseas on and off and I missing tinkering around with my old Ford Backhoe, changing the ram seals and playing around the farm. Now I think I want a dozer after watching your show...well done..kept me enthralled to the end..

We had a BT 7 C fiat pulling logs in the Bush for Dad & Brothers Sawmill years ago . Smaller then the machine but worked for years faultlessly !

Hi, Yes the dozer is a Fiat Alice but not sure of the exact model , I couldn't find an ID plate.
Legend at it again. He reminds me with our old master mechanics. His explanation and approach on the problems at hand similar. Note his wearing his Gold Watch too.

Thanks for sharing. My cousin was a fire dozer operator for years. Sadly he got cancer from toxic piles in forest fires and from the phoschek dropped on fires. He passed away at age 50. Dozer operators are a unique breed. Fire dozer operators are just plain crazy. 🤣
