    Can you tell me how to cook freshly cut potato fries in this model? My fries get burnt after 13 minutes and are not cooked

    • @cookwithsanakhuram
      @cookwithsanakhuram  Місяць тому

      You have to slice and parboil the potatoes. Dry and freeze them for 2 to 3 hours in a ziplock bag and fry in the air fryer to get that store-bought textured French Fries. If using raw potatoes directly, try to fry with the method I have shared in my video.

    • @najiyaibrahim4421
      @najiyaibrahim4421 12 днів тому +1

      Tried french fries from fresh potatoes in Phillips Air fryer yesterday... The trick lies in parboiling the potatoes in hot water till it's 50-60% done ... Dry the partially cooked potatoes onto a cotton towel,doesn't matter if its not entirely dried though ... Frozen or unfrozen doesn't make much of a difference to me ... I hardly freeze my fries as em always that lazy last minute mom... Drizzle/spray ur oil of choice to coat them evenly... Air fry at 180C for 20mins with gently tossing the pan after 10mins to ensure even heat distribution...! The cooking time may vary depending on the Air fryer and the potatoes you choose ... Season of choice... It's way crispier than deep fried fries as the heat distribution is quiet uniform in an Air fryer... But the taste varies slightly due to the reduced consumption of oil...! Fortunately my kids loved them so I don't give a heck about the difference taste wise ...!!

    My friend gave me this air fryer but it didn’t have a fat separator part/piece to place under the basket. Is it required to use it for just meats?

    • @cookwithsanakhuram
      @cookwithsanakhuram  3 місяці тому +1

      The basket is a perforated one. So when the meat is cooked, the fat gets separated and gets drained through the holes in the basket and gets collected into the pan, which is attached below the basket. So there is no need for a fat separater part for this model. Hope I have answered your question😊

      For roasting peanuts, you don't have to choose the preset menu. You can simply transfer the raw peanuts into the basket and select the temperature and time and cook. The ideal temperature for roasting peanuts is 180°C and they will be roasted to perfection within 8 to 10 minutes

    Just bought it yesterday. Philips air fryer 4.1L. I put 1 kg chicken breast.. it didnt even fit so i piled one on another. I set 180° for 15min. Didnt rotate or stop in between. Next day my stomach is upstet😅😢. Did i do anything wrong?

    • @cookwithsanakhuram
      @cookwithsanakhuram  6 місяців тому

      The preset temperature and time for cooking chicken is 180°C for 24 minutes, but you have cooked for 15 minutes only. Moreover, placing 1 kg chicken in the basket at one shot is not advisable. When you pile up one over the other, the pieces will not get cooked properly and evenly. Eventually, the result would be undercooked chicken, which is unhealthy to consume. Please take care.

    Hi, Liked ur demo and the recipe too. I recently purchased the same Airfryer. Hence before using i happened to watch ur video. My question is can I use a silicon basket in the Airfryer for placing the potatoes or any food that we want to fry instead of keeping it directly in the Airfryer basket

    • @cookwithsanakhuram
      @cookwithsanakhuram  8 місяців тому

      Thanks for watching my video. You have to use the basket directly for frying. Because air flows from all sides, which will make your food crispy on all sides. You can use silicon moulds for baking cakes because the batter will be in liquid form, and hence, we have to place metal or silicon moulds inside the basket.
