I love you all. I always look forward to knitting with you! I am a box store knitter, and I love it! I have heard some people say that that they would knit if they had to use box store yarn. I really don't not think that is true. Knitting is so much apart of who we are. I appreciate all the makers and love seeing what everyone is buying and knitting. I have been thinking about doing a podcast with my boxstore makes. Thank you guys for being so inclusive and kind!
Please! Please! Please! Make an episode (or several) with an overview of your entire knitted wardrobe! I am dying, I want to see all all of your sweaters, cardigans, hats, socks, and of course shawls and mittens in one place! ! I already watched all the episodes that came out, some twice, and now I want more!
Okay ladies, I JUST discovered you last week or so! I know, SO late to the party. I LOVE YOU for many reasons: I'm an eastern Canadian who has lived in BC & Yellowknife in the 80s and 90s and you are like my western friends I left behind! Love your Alberta accents ;) Never mind how much I'm learning about dyers and knitting from you. Your relaxed approach and humour is perfect. Jody you crack me up, please keep it coming and Tracie you are the sweetest. I'm trying to catch up on your podcasts, I need to quit my paid J-O-B haha to do that. I'm knitting and watching and am trying socks for the FIRST time because of you - probably next week, I'm nervous eek. Thank you for your info and chats. LOVE it.
Hello ladies. Greetings from the Netherlands! I recently discovered your show and you got me knitting socks, using the magic loop method. With dpns I used to always manage to poke myself in the eye with a needle, so not a big fan. But now I knit socks, like it is no ones business. And they fit too! My husband was very surprised! So thanks a lot and I will continue to enjoy your youtube video's.
Great podcast! Stockings are BIG in my family but as adults we decided about 10 years ago that we would draw names at Xmas dinner for whose stocking you had to fill the next Christmas. Then when we do Xmas dinner at my parents house, we all open our stockings together. It's everyone's favourite part of the holiday to see the ideas everyone else came up with (we cap how much you're allowed to spend) and how creative they get and then who you get the next year (you can't have the same person back to back). Loads of fun!
Hello lovely ladies, thank you for keeping me company this morning with your usual joy for all things yarny. I was feeling quite low and lonely, you lifted my spirits 💞 if I didn't live in the U.K. I'd be snapping up one of your holiday kits without a doubt. 🤗✨😘💖
Omggg the Sanguine sweater by Morthunder is what your talking about with the geometric color work!!! Literally knitting on my right now as I’m watching this lol
KnitPicks also has some really amazing cheap yarns! I love learning about people who knit with acrylic and cheaper yarns. I love myself a fancy hand-dye, but the cheaper ones are workhorses!
Yesss! Loving all the tech editor love in this episode! I might be a bit biased (since I’m an editor myself), but editing is SO important and adds such value to the patterns that designers release!
Jodi!!!! I lovee you more than ever now!!! I am a 47 y/o mother of 2 adult children, and I am OBSESSED with Post Malone! I now have another mother my age that likes him too to show them. Lol!!!! Just went to his concert and it was amazingg!!!
Lion Brand just came out with a self striping sock yarn! It's called Mani-pedi and is 75% superwash wool 25% nylon. They have the most adorable colorways and it's super cheap! I just ordered a bunch from Joann's! So affordable to add self striping yarn to your stash!
Omg Jodi!! I bought the same Plucky yarn at Wool & Honey in Michigan in July🧶👍🏻 I bought it for the pattern Molly by Devin Ventre. My first swatch was off so I’m stalled but I think the yarn is perfect for this sweater🤩
So excited!! Just ordered the Jingle Balls 2019 kit!! So well thought out with lovely treats. I'm not really a sock knitter but hey, could be a cowl or perhaps a hat. BTW it's a treat to me. Thanks
That picture is awesome. I love watercolors. I’m working on remodeling a small bedroom into my yarn and sewing room. That picture would be a lovely addition. Hint hint!😁
You girls literally make me laugh out loud as I sit here crocheting on my Sacred Space blanket in #10 thread, (pattern by Helen Shrimpton)! I LOVE the 'toddler-toting' gorgeous floral bag by GingerRoot! The comment about 'you could carry a toddler in the bag; forget your knitting' is what made me lol! And that art custom designed for you girls....oh my! What a generous gift from that lady!
I’m just happened to be in ETSY (supposed to have been working) when I saw your Jingle Balls kit! OMG I had to have it! And I had to get one for my Sister! Merry Christmas to US! Thank you girls for all the good times!! 💗
Jodie, the red paint on your hands are so perfect for Halloween! It looks like blood! 😳 Tracie, your new sock pattern was such a joy to test knit! It was such a treat to see a new video from you two. A Halloween knit treat 😉
I had to watch this one in 3 segments and now, I forgot the stuff you talked about in the first 2 segments! 🙁 Your Jingleballs Kit is amazing! And love Jodi’s newest bags!! You two are so much fun.
yall are amazing. i got to meet yall this year at DFW!! if your in IG you can't share a post to your stories because the person acct is private or they have that setting turned on that their post can't be shared. that's why you have it on your GGK acct because it's public!! i had that happened to me a few weeks ago..keep up the great podcasting
So much to digest in this episode I might have to watch twice! What really resonated is your kindness towards those of us who cannot purchase luxury yarn but can dream about knitting with it some day. The portrait depicting both of u knitting is priceless! What fun. Happy Halloween 🎃👻😈👀👍🏻❤️🤗
We are under a tornado watch here in Central PA. I am cozy, practicing double knitting, and watching the GGs! Trick or treat has been cancelled and moved to Sat.
Auto-brightness!! In the category of unsolicited help lol. Go to Settings-> accessibility-> display & text size-> all the way at the bottom it should say “auto-brightness” which you can unselect. Also- fun tip! You can use this same menu to reduce the white point which should improve image quality over the camera! You can add this to your quick drop-down menu by following settings-> accessibility-> accessibility shortcut. Once it’s added, all you have to do is triple-click the home or side button to reduce the white point! I hope this reaches Jodi!!
Happy Halloween girls!!!!! 👻🎃 love your podcast everything you make is gorgeous I wish I had a sister to share yarn with or just give it to her just because she loves it And Tracy your socks are to die for 🎃👻🎃
Jodi, when you said “Halloween apples”, it totally took me back to my childhood in Edmonton! I’m in Calgary now and they don’t say that here-must be an Edmonton thing!
We do a secret Santa at my house. Since my sister and I are older, and in university buying presents for everyone in our family is a little pricey. So we just pull a name out of the hat and buy for just one person! It is so fun!
Trick or Treat!!! I am at your door dressed up as “ your neighbor” for a yarn treat. Tee hee. Halloween is my least fav holiday also. I could skip October altogether.
My son went all out this year. He shaved his head to the skin and wore a yellow zigzag striped sweater that i knit for him to be Charlie Brown at school today! But he will have to wait until tomorrow to get candy because, can you believe this: Montreal delayed Halloween to tomorrow because of the rain!!
Ok you yarn enablers .... you had me when you said Row One Yarn monthly mini subscription would be a great affordable Advent yarn calendar. So yes I subscribed and I am very excited and can't wait to get my first order. This is coming from the person that thinks spending yarn money on something I haven't seen is crazy LOL
Hello ladies! I LOVE you guys! This is the first time my husband actually requests something from me!!! I am having a hard time getting the Suri Silk alpaca yarn. Would you be able to suggest another substitute that is easier to order from (like Knitpicks or YarnCanada...) ?
Gigglling because I'm trying to watch this podcast and knit and give out candy. Yes getting up and down is a pain in the butt. I'm also excitedly late Jodi!!!
no joke, ladies - my doc told me you get a fertility surge at menopause. Thankfully I am through menopause...I think. It has been 4 years years since I have had a period. BUT, I have a friend that got pregnant at 49 - had her baby just before she turned 50. Just saying...
Oh thank goodness, I’m not alone I’m not getting into Halloween! I’ve never been into it either but I always attributed it to growing up in an uber religious household, where we went to church instead of trick or treating.
Totally agree with the whole not going to knit nite, because I am trying to use up my acrylic yarn. So sad. I do use 'good yarn ' but not all the time. I really would rather stay home than deal with that. And It seems like my whole Instagram is yarn snobs. And really, Rarely do I use the yarn that the pattern calls for.....bwahaha! I am making a sweater by Tinderbox! I am doing the crocheted one called Mya Sweater. CHECT IT OUT! And doing it in Michael's Loops and Threads Joy DK and it is awesome! And thanks for showing Morthunder sweaters. She has some very nice things, too
Hi ladies! I would like to recommend an audio book to listen to while knitting! “The Alice Network” by Kate Quinn was so riveting and the narrator did a wonderful job with accents and the different voices. Highly recommend it!
I love you all. I always look forward to knitting with you! I am a box store knitter, and I love it! I have heard some people say that that they would knit if they had to use box store yarn. Another hour and 50 minutes of knitting and laughing and great company. Thank you for sharing my new pattern Ladies. I am SO greatful.
BAM! Kit purchased, and you haven't even stopped talking about it on the video. SO GORGEOUS. I cannot wait! *bounce*

Yesss! Loving all the tech editor love in this episode! I might be a bit biased (since I’m an editor myself), but editing is SO important and adds such value to the patterns that designers release!
The Shepherdess sock is awesome!! And the top under the ribbing looks like fencing. So wonderful!
And as always I loved the podcast!
i love my acrylic yarn, without it i could not make preemie blankies and hats...Gorgeous print..lovely projects you guys knitted..
I love the Shepherdess pattern - I don’t make socks - love this as a cowl and a hat!!!!!
Jodi!!!! I lovee you more than ever now!!! I am a 47 y/o mother of 2 adult children, and I am OBSESSED with Post Malone! I now have another mother my age that likes him too to show them. Lol!!!! Just went to his concert and it was amazingg!!!
I love that cowl! Omg you made me laugh so hard when you were trying to remember KnotBad and you called him Bad Knots 🤣
Lion Brand just came out with a self striping sock yarn! It's called Mani-pedi and is 75% superwash wool 25% nylon. They have the most adorable colorways and it's super cheap! I just ordered a bunch from Joann's! So affordable to add self striping yarn to your stash!

For me, the longer the podcast the better. I watch it in segments due to being busy. Then I dont have to wait so long for next one.
Yes! a 2020 Grocery Girls advent calendar please!!!
I love Stitchmastery! I don't design professionally, but I love tinkering. It's kind of like working on crossword puzzles, except with stitches.
So excited!! Just ordered the Jingle Balls 2019 kit!! So well thought out with lovely treats. I'm not really a sock knitter but hey, could be a cowl or perhaps a hat. BTW it's a treat to me. Thanks
Tracy and Jodie, I love how you love each other.

That print is beautiful! Love your new patterns.
I too hate Halloween. It's beddtime here in Ireland. Great to have you to watch while snuggling under the blankets. I love the cowl.
That picture is awesome. I love watercolors. I’m working on remodeling a small bedroom into my yarn and sewing room. That picture would be a lovely addition. Hint hint!😁

My favorite holiday and it's my birthday and my grandkids think it is so special because we always have a party.
I love that you love Howard Stern! Makes me love you ladies more! My mom's been listening to him since I was like 10, inappropriate, but hilarious!!!
We do a secret Santa at my house. Since my sister and I are older, and in university buying presents for everyone in our family is a little pricey. So we just pull a name out of the hat and buy for just one person! It is so fun!

You just reminded me that I have the sock set of the Ugly Sweater Party! Casting on tomorrow!!
Yes!!!! Hello, ladies! I have a long weekend and am THRILLED this is out a bit early!!!

I don't love Halloween either....in fact I am the scrooge of Halloween! Haha! Happy to have this to watch today!
Love the holiday sock kit, but it's WAY out of my budget:(
I *definitely* just sent a link to your shirt & the feminist knit club sweatshirt to my husband as a not-so-subtle Christmas gift suggestion. 🧓🏼✊🏼
Oh my! I live in Langley, WA!!! I am soooooo making that hat!!!
Gigglling because I'm trying to watch this podcast and knit and give out candy. Yes getting up and down is a pain in the butt. I'm also excitedly late Jodi!!!
Enjoy y’all so much!
I’m swatching for that Sanguine sweater right now for my sister! 🤗
A hat I think you could mod to perfectly work with your cowl... the 1898 Hat... i’m making one... omg I love it
Yes!!! The Geometric sweater you are referring to is Morgan (morthunder on Instagram) and it’s her Sanguine Sweater 💕
Please have Georgia on your podcast.! Love the Hat! Thanks for the laughs ladies!
no joke, ladies - my doc told me you get a fertility surge at menopause. Thankfully I am through menopause...I think. It has been 4 years years since I have had a period. BUT, I have a friend that got pregnant at 49 - had her baby just before she turned 50. Just saying...

Hi ladies! I would like to recommend an audio book to listen to while knitting! “The Alice Network” by Kate Quinn was so riveting and the narrator did a wonderful job with accents and the different voices. Highly recommend it!
Try the Erika Knight Wild Wool 85% wool, 15% nettle (viscose). Very masculine in stature! My hubbie loves it!
I’m 52. Every time I contemplate a sweater pattern, I anticipate how bad my hot flashes would be wearing it.
Kvanknits totally 😊
