Hello Jodi and Traci I'll never forget your hugs and how sweet you were to me last year in Cedar Michigan. I look at my pictures from time to time. My garment The Tenga was knitted using silk yarn instead of wool. I LOVE YOU BOTH SO MUCH.BE BLESS. Cassandra 💙😌
Your show is SOOOOO fun, ladies. Thank you. Jodi, am inspired by your sweaters! AND! I am REALLY looking forward to the plaid sock pattern. I've never knit socks before and want to start! Yeah! And just know Tracie, that in my own little heart of hearts, your pattern counts as the 53rd week of socks!
Ladies you likely won't see this but I'm laying in bed recovering from a transplant I recieved today. I want to be knitting but I'm just too sleepy for it. You need to know how wonderful your podcasts are on isolating days like this! Instead of feeling along I feel like I'm at a coffee and with friends just chatting life and yarn. All my love!!
Traci I must thank you so much for reminding me of the crochet fix for loose neckbands. In about an hour I have changed three sweaters from ones I always kept pulling back into place while I was wearing them to ones that now lie properly . ❤️❤️❤️
You 2 are wonderful !! Can’t knit to save my life but I love your podcasts !!! Your podcasts, the fat squirrel, and smell great guy are all knit and I love all of you ! Your sweaters are beautiful and the colors....... gorgeous !❤️❤️❤️
With corona being in our surrounding towns and have 3 small children including 2 under 2(youngest 2 months) you guys are my mommy break 💜💜💜 thank you. I feel like I window shop through you guys because I can’t afford yarn right now 😂
Yes yes yessss to summer and cotton and linen and anything that combines fiber and warm weather. Its so sad here in the south during summer months watching everyone else still knitting with wool. It barely gets cool enough here for wool.... well not at age 49 anyway 😂😂😂 Thanks for letting me hang out with you girls today. I’ve been binge watching for a few months. So much fun!!!
Hi Jodie and Tracie, love love love your podcast. I loved all your beautiful knitted items, So much that I've bought the supervsimple summer sweater pattern and downloaded the free Paloma sweater pattern too! Thank you, hope it's not to long before your next podcast!!! Love to you both 😘😘😘
As always, you ladies are such a joy to watch. Jodi!!!!! I need ALL THE SWEATERS! I hope you enjoy you Black Purl Magic Stitch markers and all the things from Diane. She’s such an amazing woman and who gives other women opportunities to get out there! Can’t wait for the next episode💜
So fun to hear you talk about stitches west. I live in the San Francisco Bay area and it was my first stitches. Loved It!!. Black Squirrel in Berkeley is my local yarn shop and they did the kits for Denise Bayron’s wave of change. I used to live in Santa Cruz, before I was a knitter, and now I need to hippity hop down there to have a look at that pretty, pretty base. Always appreciate you guys taking the time to push out these episodes. You keep me company while I knit late at night. 💕🧶🧶🧶🧶
You gals are just HORRIBLE enablers!!! Now I have the Cozy Classic Raglan Sweater pattern that Jodi knit and I'm buying some Knitpicks Cotlin yarn to try for a spring/fall weight. I love you both so much!
I missed you ladies! I just love the way you say each other's names when you see something amazing! I wish I could gush with my sister about knitting/yarn stuff but she just ain't into it.
J Ha me too!! I often wish my sisters love knitting like I do. I love how Jodi and Tracy champion each other- I have 3 sisters and that never happens!! Grocery girls are like a breath of fresh air for women everywhere!
I love Joji’s cabled coats. I knitted her Ranch Coat and I love 💓. It looks complicated but was, as with all Joji’s patterns, a dream to knit. Thank you for the podcast, loved it as always x
Always wanted a sister. What a great bond you have. Always like this? Loved to take you class. You guys are both so fun love the relationship.and the info is really honest, informative, really great podcast, ladies.
Hi Tracy- I saw you at Stitches but wasn’t able to say hi because Aimee was helping me pick yarn for a sweater ( I think you got the same colors)! I even wore my Shepherdess socks to show you! Anyway, glad you had fun. I bought waaaaaay too much beautiful yarn!
Tracie, what helps me is I write down on sticky notes things I need to remember. I do this while watching your podcasts xcx then bvb tape them securely in my bbn planner. I'm 53 and dont seem to remember crap! ...except Birthdays. Birthdays are important.
I am so happy that I found you girls! I just love watching and hearing about all the wonderful things you show. Thank you sooooo much for your podcast!
I enjoyed this episode, as i always enjoy them all! You two are great and I love your conversations and enthusiasm, I m so very happy to have found your podcast, thank you again!
I love both of your sweaters. I really like the colors of Jodie's sweater and it looks so awesome on her. Tracie your sweater is great especially the lace work.
Okay now I have to make the Cozy Classic Raglan. I’ve been thinking about it, and after hearing Jodi swoon over it and seeing the beautiful FO I’m ready! Tracie, I can’t wait for your new sock pattern! Oh, and not to make you jealous, but I live a couple of miles from our local Target. I was so excited when we finally got one a few years ago! We love Target as much you girls do 😊
Thanks for the tip of crocheting around the neckline. I have a sweater with a big neckline in the exact same color as yours. Will try the crocheting this afternoon. Hopefully I will actually start wearing my sweater after, instead of it laying around unused.
So happy to see you gals tonight! Tracie - I would like to thank you for introducing me to Row One Yarns. I signed up for their yarn subscription the very day you talked about them a few months ago and love it. The yarns have been gorgeous and I really look forward to those 10 little surprise yarns in the mail every month. My Zadie was my first sweater but with only the sleeves to knit, discovered I didn’t like it; so frogged it and made a Veronika which I practically live in! Plan to knit another one for next Fall. Great for keeping shoulders and neck warm while watching TV, reading, or knitting in bed. I sometimes even sleep in it.
I have been hanging out waiting waiting waiting (yes I know you have other lives) for you guys - such a great come back podcast. Thanks ladies, and Tracie - your sock pattern is the only sock pattern (patterned sock) I want to knit. Great to see you back.
Hahahaha, here I am joking about Ziploc bags and then you pull out the Speckled Red bags, which is what I'm currently knitting out of! They wouldn't make very good waterproof Kindle covers, though
Love the episode. Thanks for the reminder about crocheting around the neckline to correct one that’s too big. I’m almost finished with my sorrel sweater and the neckline is way too big. I’ll be crocheting it into a smaller fit in the morning.
I'm not familiar with this trick. Can anyone describe it a bit more? I looked for a video on how to crochet a neckline (start to finish) and I'm not sure if that is the same thing. Thank you in advance!!
Thanks for the cute Q+A ♥️ and wow, here in Sacramento we're probably post-peak spring, I'm watching this as I spin in a blossoming garden. I Definitely want to hear the update on that final sweater count...
So glad to see you again! Good for you escaping the cold and snow. I am happy to have an episode whenever you can manage it -- you gotta live your life, right? Your sweaters are beautiful! Thank you for the tip about crocheting around the neck. I love to hear about the yarn events you go to and see all the goodies. Thank you for sharing. I am very interested in a summer garment KAL. I highly recommend Creek Garden Crafts' puma cotton yarn. It's delicious.
My ears perked up when you mentioned Emma's Yarn! She's local to me, walking into their store with the wall of her colors is breathtaking. Love you guys!
Summer KAL, yes!! I'm in! And it will be my first KAL ever. I bought Joji's Cedar Pullover right after seeing the one Tracie made for Jodi and I am going to make it with 3/4 length sleeves. I can't wait! Thank you for another great epsiode.
So happy to have a nice long visit with you girls over this weekend! Lots of stress going on in my life and I really needed a pick me up ❤️ plus I bound off my first Joji sweater ( Spector ) while watching and trying to relax .
Ahhh! I don't have time to watch right now but have to say, damn, that rainbow sweater is 🌈🥰🥰🥰! Can't wait to watch this tomorrow as a great start to the weekend!
Omg. Yesterday I was suffering from GG withdrawal. The alert came thru when I was sleeping. Rather than wait one more second, I plugged in my headsets just to listen but I fell back to sleep and woke up to you saying goodbye. I cannot wait to watch the whole thing tonight.
Yay a new episode!!!! I recently binge watched all your episodes and have been chomping at the bit waiting for a new one! Glad to hear your vacations went well Also I know you said it as a joke, but national multiple personality day is actually a real thing! It’s an awareness day for Dissociative Identity Disorder. It’s a trauma based disorder that happens from chronic childhood abuse and trauma and makes the brain unable to form one cohesive personality due to dissociative amnesiac barriers it puts up to protect from the abuse that happened.
So happy to see you back, gotta tell ya, I missed you two! Tracy, here's a tip for your Addie cords (BTW my favs).... Put the cords in a large fry pan, pour boiling water from a kettle, (not the tap), and use a fork to spread them out. Good as new! See you in Mtl 😘
Tracie, Plaid socks!! Totally my jam... Absolutely mad for plaid. Must order same colour yarn. Sorry to miss you both at KnitCity. Next time! Perfect timing for your podcast today. It's Friday and I'm tired. You guys make me laugh..
Yes! I am lucky enough to be an hour away from Four Purls Yarn Shop that Emma and her mother Laura have. Hubby JD! They are awesome people to know! It is my 🧶❤️FAV❤️🧶 yarn store! Hope you can make a visit there some day!
Jodi, you sold me on the Cozy Classic Raglan, I had to buy the pattern after hearing you talk about it!! And Tracie, I definitely agree that the ultimate pattern would be one of Joji’s cabled cardigans. I would love to make one!
Must Love Yarn just started a Scrappy-along and it was inspired by the scrappy cardigan that you showed from the Drunken knitter! That's so cool. I know I'm a little behind but I'm playing catch up on all of my podcasts lol. Keep up the fun, I always get a chuckle out of your shenanigans.
I attended Stitches Midwest in Shumburg Illinois and will be attending again this year. My daughter and granddaughter took me and I met so many nice people.
When I saw Bunny and Toot's new charms I looooved them and also thought like, there needs to be a saggier boob lol. Jodi, your sweater is absolutely brilliant. What a great idea to incorporate the minis you picked up. So smart, I want to try this with some of my advent minis!
I don't know if y'all heard about the massive tornado that happened in central Tennessee this week, but if you're looking for shawl and wrap patterns I suggest checking out Jo Strong's Nashville collection -- for the month of March 100% of the proceeds are going to disaster response. I purchased her "Meet Me at the Ryman" shawl today and it's working up beautifully so far and it's very well written!
It was great meeting you Tracie and YES I'm still bummed not to see Jodi! Can't wait to see you here again next year and I think I'd love to go to dinner with you too. 😘
Love ChiaoGoo needles! They are sharp enough, interchangeable, the cables are flexible but sturdy and the price is reasonable and they come in a set with a really roomy pouch complete with a zip pocket for the cords, stitch markers, etc.. I own a lot of Signature needles. They are very sharp. Not interchangeable. They are so over priced. I wonder if they aren’t forged in Mordor? Addi’s are wonderful but I agree their cords are wonky.
If you come to Hue Loco in Loveland, you have to also come to My Sister Knits in Fort Collins! Make sure it’s a Wednesday so you can come to Pints And Purls, too!!! Yay!
Was lucky enough to snag The Darkside from To the Macks!! Can't wait to get it on the needles! Thank you for a very entertaining podcast. It always makes my day! xoxo
Favorite needles, Signature Arts and Choagoo. I would like Signature Arts to do solid needles instead of interchangeable. I just have to say, you guys are so busy, working, and family, etc., yet you manage to knit all these sweaters! I don't know how you do it. You both are incredible knitters and inspire us all.
Tracie! Please don't forget to teach us how to substitute yarn weights!! There are a couple Joji designs id LOVE to make in worsted! Im so excite to see how you do it!

Dye Works yarn is sold at Black Squirrel. She doesn’t have a shop in SC but does sell in one of them. The yarn is gorgeous

OMG Traci you have me laughing out loud ..."I know shopping math and knitting math, not school math"...me too! LOL
Jo-Ann B I am even worse when it goes to shopping maths but I got B in school maths :)
Jo-Ann B and that’s why I teach grade two.
Watching your podcast on a rainy afternoon in Mexico. Glad to hear you both had a good trip.

One way to deal with ‘sleeve island’ and handling the bulk of the body is to knit a few inches of the body, finish sleeves first, then complete body .
Marilyn Cameron Hall great idea!!
So happy to see you gals tonight!

Hahahaha, here I am joking about Ziploc bags and then you pull out the Speckled Red bags, which is what I'm currently knitting out of!
They wouldn't make very good waterproof Kindle covers, though
Awesome podcast ladies! Always entertaining and always chuck full of great information🤗. TY

I love the tip about crocheting the neckline. Definitely will be trying that! Hope I can remember to tune in next Thursday!
Jodi, your sweater is one of the prettiest knitted things I've seen!!!
Jodi, this may be my favorite sweater you have! The colors are stunning! I could steal it right off your back. JK- kind of.
I'm feeling really down today and just sat down to find something to watch to distract me and YAAAAAY!!!
Molly McAwesome- with you on every part of your comment. Three cheers for Grocery Girls!

Great episode! Always entertaining and full of inspiration!
I can’t wait to see you guys in Montreal! Jodi you are killing me! I want all the sweaters
I attended Stitches Midwest in Shumburg Illinois and will be attending again this year. My daughter and granddaughter took me and I met so many nice people.
I feel I have to keep notes throughout the podcast because there are so many wonderful things. 😂 love your videos!
When I saw Bunny and Toot's new charms I looooved them and also thought like, there needs to be a saggier boob lol. Jodi, your sweater is absolutely brilliant. What a great idea to incorporate the minis you picked up. So smart, I want to try this with some of my advent minis!
Also the Super Simple Summer Sweater was my first sweater of the year and I also want to make it again and again!
Always great to see you sisters! Oh to go on a tropical trip like that! I’m into the hotels too! A massage sounds amazing too!
Sitting here knitting my Turtle Dove listening to you talk about knitting the Turtle Dove :)
Synchronicity :)
yea!!! welcome back - you ladies always find something enjoyable to share
So good to have you back!
Love, love, Love Your Q&A. I've wondered about so many of those questions 😳😜
The girls are back!!! Yeah!!!!!!!
Enjoyed your podcast. Love your socks you are working on look forward to the pattern and yarn used.
Hi Girls, a cabled coat would be my holy grail. Toni is a crochet wiz, a knitter, a seamstress. Very talented.
Jody, please post your sweater notes on Ravelry, I LOVE IT! The slip stitch moment, feminine and pretty, the colors and the base gray yarn. Thank you
Tracie, it was sooooo good to see you at Stitches West!!!!!!! Jodi we missed you but so glad you went on a fantastic family vacation!
I got to talk with Traci! A big fangirl moment!
i love chiagoo 12inch circulars for sleeve work. The bend at the top of the needle makes it a quick comfortable knit.
Athena Forged in Mordor!!😂😂😂😭😂
Elizabeth I was wondering if anyone would get that reference? lol
Lol forged in Mordor from blackest steel blended with Orc blood!
Love your podcast. I don't have a local yarn store and you make me feel like part of a group.
OMG! It's been a month and I'm so relieved you are back! Good to see both of you as you were missed!
I Jodie and Tracey so glad you are back.
It always makes my day! xoxo
OMG Jodi your sweater looks amazing!
Yes!!! A summer kal. I live in Florida and this would be perfect for me 💜
Favorite needles, Signature Arts and Choagoo. I would like Signature Arts to do solid needles instead of interchangeable. I just have to say, you guys are so busy, working, and family, etc., yet you manage to knit all these sweaters! I don't know how you do it. You both are incredible knitters and inspire us all.
Watch you two is like being with friends
Ideally you would check the gauge of the swatch before and after blocking so that while knitting you can see if you are staying on gauge.
What a beautiful beautiful episode ❤️❤️❤️thank you cute ladies
Tracie! Please don't forget to teach us how to substitute yarn weights!! There are a couple Joji designs id LOVE to make in worsted! Im so excite to see how you do it!
Ladies I love all the yarns and Jodi’s daughter’s yarn is beautiful
Yeah!! I missed you all! Can't wait to sit down and knit with you.
Love you girls!! Talk about separation anxiety - a month without you is too long! :)
I have missed you two! Hello from St Louis!
