I love watching your podcast and never find it too long. For us knitters with mobility challenges and unable to attend a regular knit night, your podcast allows us to feel we are part of the knitting community. Thank you Jodi and Tracy!

Without fail, every time I watch you I open Google Maps and do a little road trip across Canada and this time Michigan. Last night I was searching Alaska and cannot tell you why, but it looks way too cold for my liking. One day I might make it outside Australia. You two are so much fun to watch xx

Thank you for talking about embracing the size you are now. At age 63 I finally told my dad and my youngest sister to quit body shaming me. I am extremely healthy - the only # that is high when I go for a physical is the number on the scale and it isn’t all that high. So, if that is all they value about me, then they can stuff it. I am so tired of stressing about my weight. I walk, hike, sail, play with grandsons, garden, knit, quilt and I, too, love Dove Dark chocolate!

I SO agree that size is so irrelevant and what one wears is totally a personal style choice that should not be determined by size . I hope next that we decide age is irrelevant as well. This world is so geared around being and looking young. What happened to valuing experience; we are people too (not just a mom or a bag of bones).

I have been eagerly waiting for you to return! It was great to watch your porch podcast from MI; but this is the real thing 😍. What fabulous surprises you each planned for one another’s birthdays 🎉. And managing to keep your secrets, especially after I just watched Joji explaining texting simultaneously with you and not being the one to ruin the fun! You did have much to talk about and show and again have me anxious to check the show notes and pretend I can do all the new projects ..... my eyes are bigger than my budget, my knitting speed, and my ability to focus on only one project at a time .....oooo shiney, ooooo new pattern oooooo beautiful yarn 🧶 oooo socks ooo sweater oooooo shawl .... oooo bags oooo pins oooo overload 🤯. Not too long 🤩. So delightful and happy to watch, especially after the horrible week in the United States, the shootings, the ICE arrests, the children again separated from their families, and the horrible governance by the current president and Senate (or is it lack of governance? 😢.). I enjoyed every minute of this podcast 💛💛💛

Several months ago Amy Beth on The Fat Squirrel Speaks podcast addressed knitting for the size you are--it's called A Path Towards Knitworthy. Definitely a must watch! I am a fan of designs by Heidi May of The Velvet Acorn Designs because not only does she publish a crochet pattern that mirrors every knit creation, her sizes range from 1/2 years up to 4XL. If I can only get my gauge right, I'll soon be wearing her Keldyn Cardigan to the office. :)

Hi ladies! I love the long episodes! I always watch you in "chunks " of about 30 minutes while I'm walking on the treadmill or using the exercise bike! Makes that chore go so much faster, lol! Skin tags...I've got 'em. But, my favorite thing about aging is the random hair. Don't ask, I won't tell. LOL!! Have fun on vacation. Patty

So good to see you back! Happy belated birthdays! May I ask a question? I want to make socks (will try your new “on the porch “ pattern first). I tried knitting socks years ago but HATED knitting with dpns.
I would like to learn magic loop but I’m sure the cable makes a big difference. Since you knit a lot of socks, which needle brand do you prefer, and what cable length to knit one at a time? Thank you! 😍

I totally enjoy the length of your show.... I see it in sections, so I end up seeing you everyday. That way it’s not so lonely between episodes.
Because I’m always stopping the podcast, and looking up things from the show notes, I make your podcast easily 4 hours long...I learn so much that way!
    Thanks,
    And don’t change....stay you!

Kids in the US go back different times in different regions. Kids in the South traditionally got out of school earlier to help with the harvest. In New England, we usually go back the week before or after Labor Day (September), but Kids in FL or GA have been going back in the last couple weeks.

Ladies, thank you so much for the epic episode! I did watch it in segments -- it was chock full of yarny goodness that I want to follow up on. I love your sweaters and the new hat pattern. I agree with you about size inclusivity. Amy Beth, of Fat Squirrel Speaks, has an excellent bonus episode called A Path Towards Knitworthy, where she speaks candidly and sensitively about plus sized knitter not feeling that they deserve to knit beautiful sweaters for themselves. I highly recommend it.

Hilarious in the word game with spalted. I thought you might need new eye prescriptions.... did I nail it or what! 😂 I did take it in chunks by the way. You were with me while I switched over my closet from summer to fall, knit socks on the plane, made dinner and weeded the garden. More of you is always a good thing! Never stop. Big hugs from Hamilton, Ontario. 🏭🤗🧶

Tracie Please don't use Round Up! Its carcinogenic and has been banned in many countries - unfortunately its still available here in Oz but its soo bad for you, your pets and the environment. But love love love your SSSS sweater and I can't wait for your new sock pattern as I love the shape of your socks - I've knitted two pairs only and I still get confused about which side to do decreases using Magic Loop so I'm hoping your pattern will clear that up xxx

This Michigander was so sad that I couldn’t be at Wool and Honey for your visit. I’m heading there in a few weeks and am excited to see the shop. Thanks for a wonderful podcast with lots of beautiful yarn, patterns, and bags! Joji’s sweater pattern will be on my radar. I loved that you showed the Plystre backpack. That has been on my list of treats for myself and I’ll definitely treat myself soon.

Yes, watched it in dribs and drabs and that's fine. I had to stop to turn a heel anyway. Let's see if I can remember what I was thinking about through this...about the inclusivity and designers being reluctant to make larger sizes; we realize it's a little difficult to make larger patterns. We follow the advice of our favourite podcasters who may direct us towards more inclusive patterns and we are willing to pay for the extra effort it entails...about Maxim Cyr; great patterns and I sent a link to my daughter who is looking for a great pattern for her sweetie...and I love the promotion to Canadian designers, LYSs, and dyers that you do! Keep it up!
