This is true for me too. I lost my soulmate 3 years ago the 8th of February. This podcast is one of the first I found and have enjoyed each one. Jodi and Tracy are wonderful women! I love them.

Can I say ditto! My husband of 30 year passed in a fatal car accident 2 days before this Thanksgiving with our holiday groceries in the back seat of my car on his way to pick me up from work. I watch this channel non stop because sleep still eludes me. I waited not knowing & he never showed up. My supportive son, friends, work colleague's plus yarn, hooks & needles help keep me functional. It's very but hard but yarn therapy is an amazing blessing.

I read Joji's post and I cried, then I watched you both - your fourth year and all you've brought me as a disabled, wheelchair and mostly bed bound knitter. and Then seeing your reaction to the lady in the wheelchair on pompom... I'm crying again.
Tracie! You were the first person i met at my first yarn festival - EYF 2018. And you were SO SO SO lovely and gracious and dignified. You both represent all I love about our community. I appreciate you not holding back from talking about what our community has gone through and still is going through.

Happy birthday. The noise is there’s a mobile phone too near the microphone and it’s picking up when the phone is pinging a cell tower. Nothing wrong with the microphone, just pop phone on flight mode during podcast recording and that should stop it 😀

Happy birthday, ladies. Honestly, I don't mean to spoil your birthday podcast and truly hope you have a wonderful one. I have to take issue with your assessments of Kirk Douglas, however. Many people will be lauding Kirk Douglas' stellar career and virtues, I've no doubt. But who will speak for the woman he totally disrespected and treated like trash during his "illustrious" career? He was just another Harvey Weinstein... or, I guess you could say, Harvey Weinstein is just another Kirk Douglas.
I think I'll make, made from the most beautiful and luxurious yarns I have stashed, a lovely, warm, wrap-around-feel-safe comfy sweater and call it "Natalie Wood". RIP Natalie.

My oldest grandchild is non-binary, changed their name, and uses they/them pronouns. It has taken a while to get it right ( I still mess up a lot) but they appreciate that we try our best. Their only complaint was when other family members didn't even try, and that was hurtful. Congrats to your brave child for getting out there! And starting a new business, WOW!

Honestly Tracie, I love the neckline of your cardigan. I totally know what you mean about “slouchy” cardigans, and sometimes round necklines on less structured cardigans can be hard to style (I typically prefer v-neck ones for this reason), but you’re nailing it here. It looks really great. When I saw it on your Instagram, I went right away and added it to my faves. 👏👏

Hi Tracy & Jodie. Thanks for the podcast - fabulous as usual. Tracy - your Floozy is gorgeous but I hear you re neckline (I have this issue often). Try a row of single crochet along the top - this will help cinch it in a bit and give some stability. Might be all you are looking for and it’s such a quick and easy thing to do too. There was a bit of static at the beginning.....at first, I thought it was my head still buzzing from the building fire alarm going off at 6:45am!! 😂 After that, it worked/sync just fine. Agreed, the knitting community has taken giant leaps in the diversity area in the last year....definitely needs to keep moving forward. I ordered from RCY and it took 3 weeks to the US and it was an in stock item. Absolutely no reflection on RCY......it is crazy that it makes it to the US/Canada border within days and sits there! Makes me think either they have a staring contest at each other, or the transfer point is remote and waiting for the next pony express to stop by and pick up US items. 😂 Anything I’ve ordered from Canada is not for an item that is time sensitive. I feel bad, you have SO many fabulous yarn dyers, because it must impact their business. Rant over! Congratulations on your 4th Birthday! When your podcast came up in my feed, I laughed out loud 2 hours +! I LOVE IT 💗

Congrat's on Birthday #4, I am so happy for you both. Tracy that red is amazing on you and Jody I love the kind of denim washed looking dark gray color (on my tablet screen 😉). You two are Hilarious, I don't even knit but I still love to watch you both. I am learning a lot about different types of yarn that I normally don't use. Who knows some day I may start to learn to knit. 😵😉. I have been a crocheter since I was 12yrs old, (I am Much older now 57yrs just turned on the 12th shhhhh) but I figure never to old to learn, right !! I love Stephanie's work truly amazing work.
That is the great thing about knitting/crocheting you can be disabled and still do fantastic work. So many people are waking up in 2020, it is so fantastic to see that positive vibe throughout the world. It can be a challenge to keep that vibe higher but it does actually help Everyone in the long run. We are truly All connected. Much love & Many Blessing to All. 💓💓
Sunday 🥴. I finally got to watch, but know I have to go back.....I was to tired 😴 to be alert enough to catch it all! I didn’t get my snow day 😢. And I had my grandson Friday night, a card making group all day Saturday, and then grandson back for Saturday night and most of Sunday. I love the precious little guy, he is eight, but I must admit to needing more rest as I age 🤣. Jodi and Tracie, you could be my daughters. Happy Anniversary, 💛😍🥰 every podcast. You are fun, knowledgeable, friendly, caring, sharing, honest, open, and real. I always feel like my friends have stopped by to visit when I see you have a new podcast. And never think they are too long! I can take long visits with with my besties. So many great patterns, yarn, bags, books, etc. I wish I could knit faster, and had more disposable income 😬, like lots of people.
I am really on a book diet, but have Melanie’s first book, and a couple Pom Pom books, but may have to check them out. I’ll never get to knit everything I have yarn and books for right now! Sorry for rambling, you just make me feel welcome! Where are your folks in AZ? I have a friend I’m going to visit in Chandler, I know she talks about Canadians that live in their condo complex. I just have to say you two are AMAZING!!!!! I was taught how to crochet when I was 8 yrs old. I have dabbled over the yrs with it, but was a little intimidated by knitting, soooooo just recently I decided to learn how to knit. There are so many cute things to knit. I found your Birthday video to be so much fun and I love the passion you bring and share. I’m an Artist, but venturing out of my usual comfort zone of realism , I find that all I want to do is knit and crochet. Yarn is so beautiful! I never knew wool could be so soft. Keep up the great work. I’ll be looking for more of your videos, Ravalry, and Etsy. Sometimes I see a yarn and I just gotta have it! And yes I too have multiple projects going at the same time. Hey guys, Thank you for bringing up the ‘price prohibitive’ issue. Knitting with fingering or whatever from your favourite indie dyer AND a second yarn can be out of reach for so many of us. I know knits look gorgeous, but @ about $300.00 per jumper, that’s over my price point. Great to recognise we all have different price points. Thanks ladies.

Happy birthday!!! Tracy’s idea of knitting the sleeves before the body was genius!! Then I can maybe make my sweaters a little longer (I love tunic length) because I know I have enough left. Brilliant!
A couple of things...
You could wear your Tanis sweater even if it isn’t finished. So you have a needle in the hem or the ends are all hanging out. It would still be a fabulous sweater!!
If there’s a Hottie in the Hoodie there sould be a Hunk in a Hat! Just sayin...

I’m a newbie knitter and I’m working on my first sweater and now thinking about the next and maybe Paloma. I’ve been learning German short rows and anything else in the pattern I may need. If i want to do Paloma in dk yarn, any recommendations? I really want to do City Limits but I’m telling myself maybe I should wait. A question, do I need to use DPNs if I have the chiaogoo shorties? I love your podcast, but 1 hour or less for the podcast would be awesome if you ladies could make that work. I will admit that it is very difficult for me to find time (work full time, married, special needs child) to watch the episodes because they are so long😳 I always have to watch them in 5-7 installments because I don’t have 2+ hours to watch podcasts. I keep watching, but I can never do it in one sitting❤️

I have never watched a vlog before or even done a podcast. I found out you ladies are from Edmonton and tonight I just said hell yeah I’m putting this on.
