Thank you! I am stitching my first Mirabilia right now. The whole "beading thing" has been poking at me from the back of my mind each time I stitch on it. Now I feel much more confident about it. 😊
Thanks for another great tutorial. My first beaded project arrived today. Thanks !!!
Great tip about using a horizontal stitch for putting the larger treasure beads on. Thanks!
A wonderful tutorial, Helen. Thx so much! 🌺🌷❤️💕
I guess I was on the right track years ago when I decided to add some white beads to my snowman cross stitch project to make it look like snow falling out of the sky even though the pattern did not call for them. Wasn't sure if I was doing it correctly but according to your tutorial I did. I used the x method so they would stand straight on the material. Beads really do add to the beauty of the design too. Thanks so much Helen. I definitely wouldn't be afraid to use them again. 🐱🐱
You are the first person that gave me confidence to do this. I've always wanted to do beading. Thank you so much!!!!!!!
You can absolutely do it!
Nice idea on the Beadalon sticky mat, to use for beading on stitching, I am an avid stitcher and beader jewelry maker you have shown me an easy way to keep track of my beads on stitching projects.
Thank you so much for sharing. I learned so much. Happy stitching
Learn something new every time I watch. Great meeting you at market!💜💜💜
Thank you Stacie!! It was great meeting you too!
A very good tutorial. I have not done any beating yet, but I will definitely come back to your flosstube as reference.
Your tacky bill needleminder hack is genius! I always struggle to hold the tacky surface with the beads. Will definitely be doing this. Thank you!
You are a great teacher, Helen. Loved watching your beading tutorial. You gave such wonderful suggestions. Thanks.
Thank you Helen! Great tutorial. Vixen is gorgeous with all her bedazzling.
Really good basic info that should inspire us all to bead. Thanks!
Vielen Dank für die ausführliche und sehr verständliche Erklärung und die guten Tipps!
Fantastic tutorial, thank you so much!
Such a pretty set of reindeer. What a display at holiday time when they are all done! Thanks for all the info for adding beads. You did good!
Wonderful tutorial! I love the idea of the little bead holder right on the piece you are stitching. Seems so much easier than reaching for the beads from a tin or tray! Thanks so much!
I was just trying to make it as easy as possible for myself!
Great video and super tips. I did a small Mill Hill kit ornament for a Christmas gift. I did the best I could think of at that time. But as I watched your video I was smacking my forehead - why didn't I think of that!?! Looking forward to the next kit to try out your techniques. Thank you so much for sharing!
You are such a gem…… thank you for this tutorial. I will be getting to a place soon with my first try at beading ! 😀
Thank you Helen, that was very informative and helpful. I can't wait to try it.
Thank you so much. I needed this.
Very informative, plain and simple. Good ironing tip! Thank you so much!
Thank you Helen for this beading tutorial. I have done beading but it has been a while as I have been stitching a lot of Samplers. I’m thinking of doing a Mirabilia for a change. This tutorial has been quite helpful! You’re a great teacher!
Good job on doing bead work and been doing bead work for 33 years. What you did was correçt. Purchasèd the tree chart and looks some what like your.
Thanks Helen!!! This has come in handy for my ornament marathon 2023 :)
LOVE your bead button!!!
I used to make jewelry with seed beads, which the Mill Hill beads are, for reference their petite beads are a size 15 seed bead, the regular is a size 11 and the larger is size 8. The higher the number the smaller the size just like tapestry needles. And from what I saw the treasure bead is a bi cone and they may even by Swarovski a top of the line crystal glass bead. Thank you for your tips and tricks in beading your cross stitch.
Thank you for the information Sheri!
Thanks so much Helen! Just about ready to start beading my first Mill Hill 😊
Thanks Helen - you’ve got an amazing way of teaching. 🐨👍
Thank you! I've been terrified to do a mill hill or others that call for beading. I thought you had to stitch it all and out the beads on top of your stitching! Thank you an amazing informative video! Now I dont feel so dumb.

First I have to say that your reindeer is beautiful! I hope you post when it’s fully finished, or maybe a tutorial with the finish.
Thank you for this tutorial. The magnetic bead holder is fantastic. It will make it so much easier when dealing with those pesky little beads that like to go flying everywhere. I have a few Mill Hill ornament kits, I think I’m going to dig them out to work on now! 😊
Thank you, this is wonderful advice!
Thanks again for a great and easy to follow tutorial! I save all hour tutorials lol. Just because I like to rewatch right before doing something again. To keep it fresh. And YES, I have been intimidated by beading. I have several patterns that call for beads that I let languish in project bags due to anxiety. So thank you again for all you do. It's so appreciated !!
Thank you for your excellent instructions! You filmed everything just right and everything was very visible.
Thank you for sharing.
Thanks so much Helen! I’m am beading for the first time in 30 plus years this weekend and this was super helpful! I have a tacky bob from the 80’s and just got a tacky bill from 1,2,3 stitch but I love the little cap idea! 💡 It’s genius😊

Thank you. This is so helpful.
OMG 😂 I'm stitching on my Mucha, watching you.....and I try to (in my brain) stitch a bead. I actually confused myself
💙🖖
lean to the left, lean to the right, stand up, sit down......
My brain 😳
Isn't it funny how confusing it is to actually think about what you're doing when you're so used to just doing it!?
