i hope to see bluestreak and silverstreak as separate characters in a future transformers series, silverstreak would be a decepticon, and the other way around as well, also hope to see bluestreak get reborned into silverstreak and the other way around as well i was upset bluestreak didn't appear in transformers animated, bluestreak appeared in the transformers prime toyline and was gonna appear in transformers prime predacons rising but was cut, also he made a cameo in rid 2015
@@harrishyatt6283 having Bluestreak feature in ANY future TF show would be GREAT! Throwing Silverstreak in as a separate character would be a nice bonus! Nice catch on Bluestreak appearing in tye TF Prime toyline. Would have been cool if he appeared in the actual show :)
Bluestreak was my first Transformer and I have a very strong affection for him. When they announced back in the day that an MP version of him was coming out, it was then that I did everything I could to get my hands on him! I'M so bumped out I miss on the MP-18+ version with the more cartoon paint and face sculpt...
Nice do you prefer the toy or toon look? I was very happy with the original MP so I didn't see the need to switch out the the +version but who knows maybe one day :) hopefully somen3rd part company will come up with an updated MP version :)
Yup 💯 agree on Bluestreak! Interesting choice for Highbrow as your favorite, even as headmasters go I feel he is the least appreciated of the bunch. Would be cool to know why you have him as your favorite :)
@@StoriesFromTheToyshelf Well, the reason for Highbrow being my favorite Autobot is because of the memories. Since he really doesn't have much spotlight in official media, comic or cartoon, except for cameos in more recent stories. I've heard of Highbrow as a character before, but one day I decided to read through his Tfwiki page and thought it was funny, so I decided to draw him. Once I finished my it, I came back to him over and over to improve the little details, and without realizing it, I was obsessed with drawing him. More than any other characters. (And drawing a character for 3years is a pretty good way to get attached to them) I started to look into his character more after this as well, and thought that his personality was a bit more interesting than generic nice guy, a lot of potential for story telling. And to top it off, I once made a small Lego replica of his alternative mode, a two rotor helicopter, but has since lost it. As a side note; I've also realized that one of my favorite Decepticon; Spinister, turned into a helicopter aswell. So maybe I just have a bias for Helicopter bots. (Sorry for the long comment, I just had a lot to say about Highbrow)
@@OrangeLordThe14th Hey no worries! It's not everyday that you meet a Highbrow fan. But that's the beauty of the Transformers as even the "not so popular" characters are given real personalities and traits that are just waiting to be explored and that different fans can identify with :) That's cool that you really got obsessed with perfecting drawing Highbrow. I myself was obsessed for a time with creating 3D Transformers...I made over 100 different models...but unfortunately never got around to doing the headmasters...which is a shame since I'm actually a fan of them as a group...especially the Decepticons :) Hopefully one day I'll get around to dedicating an episode to my favorite Headmaster Brainstorm! Oh and helicopter transformers are cool...especially Highbrow's futuristic dual rotor alt mode, possibly the most visually interesting of his fellow headmasters! Oh and have you seen the "Hunt for the Decepticons" Highbrow toy released around 2010? Not sure if its meant to be the movie version of teh same character but he also sports dual rotors. Really cool toy!
@@StoriesFromTheToyshelf yes, I have seen the 2010 Highbrow. The color scheme is very different from the G1 version, but I still like the design, especially in his alt mode. I would love to get him someday. Speaking of Brainstorm, do you have any thoughts on his IDW version? Especially his role as one of the main cast member in MTMTE.
@OrangeLordThe14th hope you can track him down! Yeah I'm semi familiar with what they did with Brainstorm in IDW...pretty crazy stuff with him travelling back in time to murder Megatron! One day I'm pretty sure to cover that! It's one of the wildest things IDW has done. A story worth telling :)
You summarized this whole mess surrounding his name perfectly, Bluestreak is genuinely my most hated TF character in the franchise purely because of the mess surrounding his name and color scheme. Just make Bluestreak blue, and Silverstreak silver, why's it gotta be such an ordeal?
Ha ha thanks! Yeah it is rather frustrating, it's all the fault of whoever made the cal for the last minute switch up silver....hello? But at that point our minds...at least mine were already wired to accept a silver and black bluestreak that when blue deco finally came out..it didn't feel like bluedtreak anymore IMHO 😅😅😅
I love Bluestreak so much this a kid that I could get a enough of him and also I’m also a blabbermouth but only when I’m alone because of that my family think that I’m talking with someone or my sister. That I just wish that he got more spotlight you now what I mean also I got excited when I found out that you were going do Bluestreak video I just couldn’t wait, I didn’t a again I didn’t I sorry I just get excited when it Bluestreak 😊😅😊
For me, I love the blue version of bluestreak, not only does he live up to his name, but he also looks very clean with the blue silver and little yellow accents, I actually have mp bluestreak and that’s the one I got
Yeah in a vacuum I do prefer the blue deco as yes it makes more sense and looks nicer IMHO. But the black and silver is so ingrained in my head at this point, that it makes the blue deco feel ...odd 🤣
I feel like the all silver car also needs to make a comeback, BUT they need to change up the robot mode, ditch the red and black that Bluestreak has and go for something new, or at least swap their placement around.
Its even more confusing since theres a blue guy with the same mode named smokescreen. Given smoke is usually grey (like a certain bluestreak) it just makes the whole thing infuriating.
Ha ha yeah that doesn't help. But at least Smokescreen was very distinct in his deco from day one. Unless you count the Prime series and Alternators....hmmm yeah itsball messed up 😅
I have always enjoyed the g1 show and movie more than any other transformers media so now that I collect transformers I get the figure that closest resembles the cartoon, but I just bought Silverstreak because he was cheap and looks like he could fit in the show
I actually got the legacy silverstreak for around 17usd, which was actually the high end as of the last time i checked. My only major problem (so far, lets hope the windows dont take that place) is that the doors refuse to tab in, especially the left one. Bit of a sour note on what is otherwise probably the best transformers alt mode of all time. Just for fun i got the dead prowl version, and it has the same door problem but now i can safely force the doorto tab in wether it wants to or not because the whole thing isnt made out of rock candy. That said, i think silverstreak chose the greatest blue of all time for himself, and the blue paint matching is pretty much perfect outside of the rather subtle shading difference, with the plastic leaning just ever so slightly more of a matte blue than the paint. 8/10 figure, 8/10 mould. (Yes the windows do dock that many points)
Nice price as over here he was selling for approx close to 40usd! Crazy. Fortunately, mine was decent in the tabbing dep. For me it's my Bluestreak that has the issue with tabbing, but you can fudge it I guess? I feel ya on the clear plastic so I always handle with care and so far no breakage, but I do prefer the look of it over the bright blue animation versions....which is why I have yet to pull the trigger on the Legacy 5 pack....but damn I need that Hound 🤣
@@StoriesFromTheToyshelf yeah I'm kinda eh on the powder blue Hasbro insists on using. On the one hand, it does objectively do a great job at replicating a 40 year old cartoon. On the other hand, Idk. It just looks flat and incorrect. If it were up to me, I'd probably go with either a really dark gray or a really dark and dull brown, to replicate the color of actual clear plastic. Oh well, theres always the toyhax.
@jeremiahsacks2868 for me it's about uniformity. If they release them all in that color than fine I guess? If that's what it takes to get Hound. But as it is now I can't have my lambo twins not have matching windshields 😅
@@StoriesFromTheToyshelf ah rip. That would be when I usually grab the customization tools and sharpie/gundam marker the windows. Won't be a perfect match but til be better than clear black and powder blue.
