  • When visiting London, there are hundreds of sights to see and quintessentially British pastimes to try, like traditional afternoon tea. But how could it all possibly fit into one trip? WSJ’s Niki Blasina discovered how to do it all… all at once. Photo: George Downs for the Wall Street Journal.

My 23-year-old granddaughter and I took this Afternoon tea bus tour, and had a blast! She really appreciated the vegan options. It was not bumpy at all on the lower level of the bus. I know it's not like one of the posh hotels, but we had already done that and wanted a different experience. We still pull out our travel mugs and text each other whenever we use them; what great memories!

that's such a cute idea, but I would be anxious the whole time about spills and breakage.

I have never heard of people having champaigne before with afternoon tea.

Her review seems so negetive in slant and a bit pretentious...a lot pretentious, her last look alone.

STOP!!! Sacrilege!! NEVER, ever, ever drop a teabag into water. You must pour the water over the tea. I cannot believe any Brit would serve tea like that. They know better. SHAME!
Edit: Ah, they are French. That is NOT an English tea. (although the pastries are likely delicious.)

Tea on a bus??? How could be loose stuff food and drink on the bus like this?!... Pretty quite awful to ride the way so hard bump and dangerous to drink cup to fall over the spills floor! How about old single deck bus for usual???

agreed, I'd much prefer tea at a hotel or tea room, but each to their own, might be fun for a family with young kids
