Re: melatonin and sleep issues: When I was having a ton of trouble with fixing my sleep, my doctor actually prescribed me camping with no electric light. You finish eating by the time it gets dark because you can’t really cook in the dark, even with a fire (it’s just a lot of bother), and you just let yourself be tired when it’s dark and wake up when the sun comes back up. Worked like a charm in a couple of days. Weirdest Rx I’ve ever been given, but he knew what he was about.
thats because your pineal gland controls melatonin, serotonin. its called your 3rd eye, or the minds eye. it receives light or lack of from your eyes. I believe screen time is the number one cause of sleep disorders. most people just want supplements or magic pharmaceuticals. You are lucky to have a good doctor. research the Pineal gland, and learn to help decalcify it. avoid flouride. the number 2 cause of sleep issues, in my opinion.
I love all of your videos. :) As a microbiologist, one thing I would like to add about probiotics.... I think it is very important to confirm that the cfu's in the guaranteed analysis do NOT contain an asterisks that mentions "at the time of manufacturing". If it does, then the manufacturing is basically saying that the strains are more than likely dead by the time they reach the shelf. Without "at the time of manufacturing" the company is standing behind their product and guaranteeing the strains survive at least until the expiration date printed on the bottle. I scoured the internet for a copy of the Seed label to see what it says but I was unable to find one.
another good source of probiotics are the kombucha fermented probiotic drinks in the fruit and vegetable section of the higher end grocery stores on the health drink shelf ... they're awesome and they quickly help get rid of "the virus" that has plagued the world the last 2 years .. but you have to sip them , do not chug the drink... one bottle drink should last about one whole day when sipping .. and keep it refrigerated
@@bandsbusy3556 Well, that's a tricky question. First off, not all natural products are effective for weight loss (here's looking at you: raspberry ketones), and even if they are, natural doesn't necessarily mean safe. That being said, there are some herbs that have been shown to have positive effects on your health when used in combination with other natural products or medications. Ginseng is known to boost your metabolism and suppress appetite and green tea has been linked to suppressing appetite as well; both of these make sense as fat-burning supplements.
@@theexipureteam3460 my comment has absolutely nothing to do with weight loss.. For best Zinc absorption, divide dose into halves. Will increase absorption rate massively as the upper absorption limit is somewhere at 15mg at a time.

It sounds horrible, but there alot of nice blacked out room paint scheme ideas on pinterest that look luxurious as well as functional. A Lavendar body wash in shower and lavender plant on the night stand have helped me. You can also put Lavendar oil in a favorite shampoo or wash. Wow! So helpful...and not that I didn't trust you but I checked out some other videos for opinions about supplements and you were on point each time. Wish me luck! And thanks again.!

Thanks for this video. I started taking a few of the supplements you recommended and it has made a massive difference in my day to day so far. I honestly feel 10 years younger. You rock.
I love that he breaks down the mumbo jumbo terms into easy to understand ideas.. very interesting to keep the viewer watching when you’re not speaking in doctors terms
When it comes to fish oil I just stick to wild caught salmon. Even if it’s store bought it is still beneficial. A couple small servings a week has amazing inflammation benefits. I use one a day because I guess I look at it as a little is better than none. It’s hard to go get the best of the best and keep order in tact. I still got away from high blood pressure meds when my doctor told me I had to have them.
When I was pregnant with my first kiddo, back in 2008, my OB suggested I take Flintstone vitamins! Luckily I was all about a healthy pregnancy and even though there wasn’t anywhere close to the info that’s out there now I was able to do my own research and find more suitable supplements. Thank goodness! 🤣
That’s what my doctor had me do also! He had me take 2 a day… but he told me to do that because I was so nauseated with regular vitamins.. even with help.
Good video - Goodness! You know a LOT of stuff! and Thanks for sharing! My local Walmart carried GNC's MegaMen Multi Vitamin - I was hoping you'd find that there and talk about it.
What would you do for people that work night shift? When to stop eating with intermittent fasting, how to develop a healthy sleep cycle even though they’d be going against circadian rhythm‘s? I haven’t been able to find anything satisfactory
So sorry for all the night workers out there. I did it for 10 years. Many health problems from that. Before the job (32 YO) took no prescription meds. Now, 10 years later, take handful of meds and vitamins morning, noon and night. And have retained some poor sleep patterns. And gained 50 lbs belly fat, pre-diabetic, mental health issues .... probably insulin resistant. Remember sleep deprivation is a recognized form of TORTURE. Need I say more? RE food and vitamins, definitely get a consult w/a holistic dr, chiropractor, even therapist while you're working those shifts. Had I been married at the time .... bad news for relationships. Good luck and take care of yourselves. It'll be worth it now and later.
I was excited for this video but I lost track of what you recommend taking as far as daily supplements go! Could you give a list of what you recommend taking on a daily basis?
My pharmacist recommended Align… I took it for five days, had a high fever and felt absolutely terrible. I should’ve listened to my gut 😉 and got something with different strains, and not just one. Also, maybe the minimum amount to start with.
I rarely buy my supplements at Walmart.....i tend to stick to GNC or rite-aid or Vitamin World. Its so hard to find real or good stuff anywhere. I try my best to get my needs from whole foods....but at 51 I feel like i need some D3, zinc , C and a B complex.
Wow! Are you a doctor / Pharmacist, or Chemist? You know all the chemicals. I only know basic chemistry that I can read the label but I don't know all. Thank you this is educational and I stopped by those garbage vitamins and eat food instead.
This is a really good video advice for vitamins the question inhave is that if your training at a gym that sells their supplements should you trust their product they advertise
My dad would take SSS tonic and he lived to be 92 and still worked on cars as a mechanic. I have been very fatigued for the last year and just took some the other day and I felt like I was 18 again. I’m 40 now and it’s been a life changer over night.
It's hard to live in the Philippines. The selections of vitamins/supplements are very limited. And these products you mentioned are very very very expensive when it gets here..
This is a super load of information. Really great that you did a Walmart haul. I wish there was 1 supplement that had everything in it. Being from Canada, you can jack the price up by almost double which includes exchange rate and shipping. Dammit!

Hoping for Thomas to turn his post notifications on, because there are some great questions in this comments section and I would like to see how they are answered.
Quality is everything. Vitamin C is an effective gauge for this metric. If your bottle says "ascorbic acid" you are consuming the equivalent of synthetic junk. Vitamin D2 or D3 in larger doses sourced from the likes of sheep wool or lichen utilizing various chemical agent processes or hexanes is going to do more harm than good. You need to take a Vitamin C completely sourced from organic fruits and without ten other unnecessary additive ingredients. There are also some excellent Vitamin D caps out there which are completely sourced from organic mushrooms as the sole component. Same thing with Zinc; get one sourced from the likes of organic guava not synthetics that won't even be absorbed by your body and ultimately just tax your liver to work much harder. Do your research and take something that is going to truly benefit your system as opposed to being counterintuitive and in the long run, harming you.
I love how much you know... I was severely anemic and they prescribed iron and gave me a hysterectomy (sorry if tmi). No research etc as to why my body wasn't absorbing it. Obvi, I'm not taking medical advice here. But, your take on bound iron is so much more knowledgeable than my med team. Thank you for sharing your vast info!
I usually don't take vitamins, but I just did my annual lab work and it came out that I'm deficient in this and that so they told me to start taking one. And boy do I notice a difference! I literally thought I was going through a massively long burnout or something.
I take melatonin because I’m detoxing off other medication. I don’t eat after dark. I wake up and can’t go back to sleep at 1:302:00 so I take one melatonin every night. I eat two times a day. Run 2-3 miles 5 days a week.
Thanks for the tips! Kirkland Mature Adult seems to tick most of the boxes for a cheaper vitamin. Boron included, vit A at 83%, no dyes, or 'sugars.' I always break the pill in half and take half with lunch and half with dinner. Supposedly you retain more and pee less out; and always with meals.

Perhaps they have seen the writing on the wall and people in their organization may influence their policies... they may care more than we know. I also take Garden of Life supplements and so far so good... I will keep abreast what Nestle is doing concerning their policies and if they change any of their supplements for the good or for the bad.
@@cgg2961 Nestle is part of the reason CA's water resources have been so depleted. Nestle is a bad company. I don't purchase any nestle products anymore which is bitter sweet every time I choose to make chocolate chip cookies from my grandmother's recipe.
I am so surprised Walmart let you video this!?? I buy an herb from Walmart that helps ladies young and older with UTI urinary tract infection tremendously!!! It is only 20$ and it is Spring Valley brand. Health stores charge up to 59$ for same herb! It is truly a godsend! Thank you. You are a true blessing!🕊️
Can you please tell me what herb you buy from Walmart that helps?
It's very scary what is out there for "vitamins." I get all my supplements from natural food stores and I look at the labels.
Yeah most American supplement brands are awful...super food is the way to go!
Its like you could switch out the vitamin shelf and the dirt shelf in the garden section, and youd still get more nutrition
Singing “Watermelon Sugar.. high” (since it was in the background”
while watching about vitamins that are beneficial or not for myself / kids. Very informative!!♥️ TFS!
People might call Thomas extreme but we need someone like him for the general public 🙏
You are the best! Thank you for the fantastic content of your channel. It has been life-changing for me. Much love and appreciation, Thomas
Wow! So helpful...and not that I didn't trust you but I checked out some other videos for opinions about supplements and you were on point each time. I visited my local Walmart today and got a spread of those you suggested, got them all ready for a week's worth of dosages.....I know I don't eat right and am 60+.....hoping to actually feel a difference by doing this...I've never been a disciplined vitamin/mineral taker. Wish me luck! And thanks again.!
You are my new KETO guru. Your videos are both educational and easy to understand. Thank you for helping me on my path to a permanent lifestyle change when it comes to fueling my body and losing weight.
Thanks for this video. I started taking a few of the supplements you recommended and it has made a massive difference in my day to day so far. I honestly feel 10 years younger. You rock.
What did you start taking?
Why didn’t you share exactly which multivitamin you use? Gives viewers a good comparison.
Hey mentioned how much of things he gets a day
He said unless you have deficiencies you typically don’t need one, so that was implying he doesn’t use one.
He said Alive was ok.
He said also go with the collagen with no fillers
Because there’s no reason for him to use any.
You are the only person whom I ever heard give out this information. THANKS !
Thomas this such a useful content in helping people navigate the vast option of supplement. Hope you do more content like this.
Man, I salute Thomas to his wide and extreme depth of knowledge and understanding 💪
You need new OB
Most doctors know nil about nutrition and supplementation.

Your not Funny 😒🤔
That’s what my doctor had me do also! He had me take 2 a day… but he told me to do that because I was so nauseated with regular vitamins.. even with help.
I love your channel even the doctors don’t know what vitamins to take with certain vitamins , that should be combined together.
I'm so glad to see that collegan,as Thomas approved it's the one I buy
Good video - Goodness! You know a LOT of stuff! and Thanks for sharing! My local Walmart carried GNC's MegaMen Multi Vitamin - I was hoping you'd find that there and talk about it.
What would you do for people that work night shift? When to stop eating with intermittent fasting, how to develop a healthy sleep cycle even though they’d be going against circadian rhythm‘s? I haven’t been able to find anything satisfactory
Thanks for this. Night shift worker for 14 years here
So sorry for all the night workers out there. It'll be worth it now and later.
skip breakfast smoke weed or take cbd or 5htp before sleep,
i love these videos, i learn so much and it helps when im there and i remember what to look for, thank you bro youre channel is amazing.
I am so glad you are talking about collagen. I was told that liquid was better than powder and that our body will keep more of it. Is this true ?
i like this kind of videos because he cares about what we consume and it might affect us
The main reason I started dieting was to get rid of cellulite, however keto made it unbearable. That's why I tried the Agoge diet and it worked great
Incredibly useful content. I hope you’re as knowledgeable as you seem but I am 40 and no one has ever explained this stuff so thank you.
Your a true Hero to humanity Thomas ❤️🙏🏼💪🏼✨✨✨🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼
Amazing video bro, super proud of who u r, all my respect and appreciation for u
I was excited for this video but I lost track of what you recommend taking as far as daily supplements go! Could you give a list of what you recommend taking on a daily basis?
lists don't make him money. you watching the video does.
He recommended the "Alive" as the best multivitamin.

Son?
My pharmacist recommended Align… I took it for five days, had a high fever and felt absolutely terrible. I should’ve listened to my gut 😉 and got something with different strains, and not just one. Also, maybe the minimum amount to start with.
This may have been a detox reaction (your body was possibly killing off a bacteria or yeast in the gut). But yeah def start low with probiotics.
Thomas is brilliant! Did he attend school or learn through self-study and his own experiences and research?
I rarely buy my supplements at Walmart.....i tend to stick to GNC or rite-aid or Vitamin World. Its so hard to find real or good stuff anywhere. I try my best to get my needs from whole foods....but at 51 I feel like i need some D3, zinc , C and a B complex.
The shopping videos are some of the best from your chanel. It taught me so much about the ingredients
Thanks for doing this my mother buys multivitamins and probiotics so I'm definitely will be showing her this 💊
Wow! Are you a doctor / Pharmacist, or Chemist? You know all the chemicals. I only know basic chemistry that I can read the label but I don't know all. Thank you this is educational and I stopped by those garbage vitamins and eat food instead.
Maybe you should start your vitamin line. Clean and straightforward ingredients
I was thinking the same thing after watching this video!
lol. I agree with many of your conclusions in these supplements, but what's funny then is you market one you get a kickback on. Clever.
Thanks Thomas. These types of videos, in which you "decode" ingredients, are very helpful!
Dude thank you for sharing your knowledge.
i wish he would’ve went over DHEA, B-Complex, Beet Root, Ashwaganda, Maca
I'm totally entranced watching this video...Thank You Thomas!!
Very funny, the b-12 he said to stay away from is the same b-12 he approved in the alive men's multivitamin
whats wrong with cyanocobalamin,,, cant find the methyl,,,
thanks for doing videos like this that are anchored in day to day life for normal people - greatly appreciated
I’d love a video on a great supplement stack for weight loss while IF on a caloric deficit. 1200-1500 calories a day.
eca stack,,,

Walmart has the lowest price on potassium gluconate tabs, and they have Vit. A now when the supermarkets have stopped carrying it.
I really appreciate your reaction to reading these ingredients. This is really helpful to understand what to look for
This is a really good video advice for vitamins the question inhave is that if your training at a gym that sells their supplements should you trust their product they advertise
DeLauer’s biceps are getting ridiculous
I was just thinking the exact same thing, lol
I was thinking the same thing 🤔 😅
But his head seems to be shrinking though 🧐

Violett Fem That’s why I never skip leg day.
My dad would take SSS tonic and he lived to be 92 and still worked on cars as a mechanic. I have been very fatigued for the last year and just took some the other day and I felt like I was 18 again. I’m 40 now and it’s been a life changer over night.
Yes it’s good but messes with my reflux.
“ Standard Process “ was my nutritionist - response tester
recommendation.
My question is when do you take all this? All at once, or different times throughout the day.
It's hard to live in the Philippines. The selections of vitamins/supplements are very limited. And these products you mentioned are very very very expensive when it gets here..
Make a US Military friend They can have stuff sent to APO address ^^
@@MichelleJohnson-tg5lx is that so? I'll try to find one lol
This is a super load of information. Really great that you did a Walmart haul. I wish there was 1 supplement that had everything in it. Being from Canada, you can jack the price up by almost double which includes exchange rate and shipping. Dammit!
Oh my God I have been taking alive vitamins for years ... I didn't know they were Thomas approved!!!
I love when you do these type of videos!
I'm so excited you mentioned seed!! I've got it for my daughter❤️ this makes me feel so much better about it. Been trying for awhile to find the right pro/prebiotics for her and these are great for her.
Hoping for Thomas to turn his post notifications on, because there are some great questions in this comments section and I would like to see how they are answered.
I was able to find the K2 + D3 combination at my Walmart .
Ooo I will have to check my Walmart for this.
Its not the best. Look on amazon for thr bulk oil caplets. 12 bucks 1 day shipping if i remember correctly. Glycerin vs crap oils as the dissolvent.
Look into the iron fish. Very interesting for getting obsorable iron.
I too am an anemic but don't have any real help with knowing what to buy. It's a cold world literally 🤧
@@youareworthy296 I remember those cold days. I wish you well on your journey to healing.
Dude, id be to busy dancing to the song. Cali Walmart playlist 🔥
I usually don't take vitamins, but I just did my annual lab work and it came out that I'm deficient in this and that so they told me to start taking one. And boy do I notice a difference! I literally thought I was going through a massively long burnout or something.
What brand do you take
Very informative. Love you going through the ingredients list and giving some ideas on some big negs like BHT.
This is so needed so I can quit throwing money away.
I take melatonin because I’m detoxing off other medication. I don’t eat after dark. I wake up and can’t go back to sleep at 1:30 2:00 so I take one melatonin every night. I eat two times a day. Run 2-3 miles 5 days a week.
Is a probiotic something I can take for 1-3 months or so, and have ever lasting effects from? Or does it need to be continued to see benefits?
I am extremely impressed with your knowledge. I will be following you.
Thanks for the tips! Kirkland Mature Adult seems to tick most of the boxes for a cheaper vitamin. Boron included, vit A at 83%, no dyes, or 'sugars.'
I always break the pill in half and take half with lunch and half with dinner. Supposedly you retain more and pee less out; and always with meals.
Which brand & vitamins would you recommend? I know our body’s work different
Hard to beat Garden of Life multivitamins. However, they don't have iodine or choline, but those aren't things I have issues getting in my diet.
