Can a PWG get gunked up with oil, carbon, etc? I have a N55 (125k) and randomly WOT will stay pinned at max boost, ignoring the target. It seems the wastegate is sticking shut and not opening when it should?
Ive heard and read N55 has no vaccum. Any confirmations on this? Im trying to set a boost gauge in the car. If i added a T off PWG hose would that read boost on the gauge? An option i’m giving a shot soon is an 1/8 barb adaptor off the chargepipe.
@@KiesMotorsports Okay thank you, does it make sense that it being out of wack would cause it to make weird noises? it sounds like the turbo is trying to spool. Mostly hear it at medium throttle below ~2k-3k
fair point, I've got an EWG and there's red thread-locker on there, so I'm sure the permanent threadlockers won't boil off in this spot. Radiant heat from the manifold and pipe probably won't be enough to boil-off the red stuff, and conductive heat (pre-cat in this case) likely isn't enough, as observed on my stock EWG setup. I'd go with permanent thread-lockers. 3M permanent is rated to 150-200C multimedia.3m.com/mws/media/451985O/3m-scotch-weld-threadlocker-anaerobic-adhesives.pdf
Sorry I meant the electronic waste gate for 2014+ models ,,, cuz I’m considering upgrading to pure stage 2 but my biggest worry is if the transmission will be able to take all that torque increase ,, can u feed us back and how much power and torque you’re making with that upgrade

I think this has gotten out of wack on my car which now causes it to make some pretty bad noises. Any way to do this with the turbo in the car?
Yep! I’ve adjusted mine while on the car. Jack up your car and remove the undershielding and you’ll have access

Have you faced an issue of overboost after shifting with PWG turbos? Im breaking my head with it!
i know this is a comment from a year ago, but check your boost solenoid. Also sticking wastegate can also cause this.

With EWG, you need to use ista to set it. I have a guy that can help, if needed :) Do you have an N55?
