We have a much better solution in Singapore: Mandatory death penalty for drug dealers, mandatory incarceration and work program for drug users, public humiliation and pain through caning of thieves who are fined or go on a supervised work program to pay back the debt. We don't ever use bike locks in Singapore, and even stores stay unlocked at night, as theft is almost unheard of despite being a city with near 8 million population.
An observation is worthless unless you can back it up. I assume a thief would have to carry in plain sight whatever equipment to cut. Bolt-cutters would be too huge for concealment? Anyone else with "constructive" advice?
@@davidveasey735 Stop assuming and read up. Thanks! If you want constructive advice complain to every store and resto that you visit, "There is no safe place for my bike. Why should I shop here? I will shop only places that provide a safe place to store my bike (keyed lockers, supervised lots with cameras, inside the business...)
