Of course there's a confusion with color scheme, ports, convenience,that's because this product was never meant for oculus quest 2, it is for smartphones. This "company" took the product from Aliexpress , renamed, fabricated the box and that's it.
Just a quick question. You pointed out that having it mounted on the elbo conector may interfear with some straps but since it is usb c couldn't you plug the elbow in 'upside down'?

I've just recently got back in touch with them after seeing reviews come out for the M2 Pro, so hopefully I will be able to check it out soon, it looks great!

I have a question - I read somewhere it's best to plug in this battery pack when the headset is at 50% but is that important for some reason or can you plug it in when both headset and battery pack are fully charged. Most of the time I won't need to use this extra time, but I attend a couple of multiplayer events a week where I know in advance I'll need it and would rather just set it up in advance and not have to worry about fiddling with it at some random time.
I guess it doesn't matter really, it's better to charge the Quest 2 battery before it totally dies because the charging rate might be slower than the battery is draining, especially if you're gaming on it at the same time. It's likely they say 50% because around then the charging rate speed would draw from the battery at a higher rate than if you plugged it in at 80%. Plugging it in straight away will just trickle charge the Quest 2 and hopefully ramp up as more % is dropped on your Quest 2. The overall time you'll get with it plugged in early or plugged in late should be roughly the same.
@@OQPlay THANKS! I'm mostly concerned with harming the headset or the battery pack by plugging the pack in early. I agree if you plug it in when the battery headset is too low it might not charge fast enough. Last night I went ahead and waited and plugged it in at 61% and after that the Q2 battery level held steady, going up 2% over time. Perfect. And it wasn't too much hassle to stop to plug it in. This should work fine for my current usage demands.
Also, the capsule's charging port (input) is too close to it's charging output nib. Is there anything as small that spaces the power input and output further apart?
Scam? No. Over priced? Likely. If you only use it for topping up the battery in emergencies when you need it the most then you shouldn’t put that much damage to the port any more than weight from a premium heavy oculus link cable would. If you want a more long term battery solution then this isn’t it.
Yeah sorry mate but you obviously aren't up to date with this subject as 1.5 extra hours for 33? I bought a 20,000 mah charger from menards for 24 dollars which whole plugged in gets me 8 hours continuous.. Calling this a decent solution is a joke lol..
It’s not going to best at being a dedicated battery pack. I bet that 20k charger weights twice a much or is way more bulky. This is a different solution for what you’re seeking, so no wonder it’s not for you. This is for portability. Discrete. Light weight. Quick top up. For that it’s decent. For counter balance and long battery life. Different stokes for different folks 🤷🏻♂️

I just got one of these from my office for free, not tried it with my q2 yet but I did adjust my Halo strap a bit so that it will fit ok 👍

You could, but the manual advises not to, likely for fear of it falling out of the adapter.
The right angle adapter is USB C right? maybe you can just put it upside down.
Yes you can do that, and it doesn’t work for straps that don’t allow it, but there is an insert card that specifically says don’t do that 🤔
Can you replace the battery within the housing ?
Not without breaking it apart, so, no.
Does the headset discharge the powerbank or its own battery first? I was thinking of buying two of these.
It will drain both. This kinda slows the whole battery drain down.

You can do either. The battery life should be the same
Can I charge this in a car?
Yes, the built-in USB ports in the car might take a while for it to fully charge unless you use a high wattage USB charger from then 12v socket.
