I’ve always wanted a vr headset since I was a little kid. I am now 18 years old and I am buying a quest 3. It will be arriving in 3 days :) So exited for this
Honestly I'd put the Quest 1 and the DK1 both in B tier, bump the Quest 3 to S tier. I'd drop the Go down to D tier, because honestly it was less powerful than a Samsung flagship in the Gear VR. And had basically the same app availability. The Rift S got a lot of flack it did not deserve. It was my first true VR headset. (I had a gear VR) While the Rift S had its issues, it had a larger FOV than the original quest, where the quest really beat out the Rift S was it's adjustable IPD. the S had a fixed IPD that was only sort of adjustable in software, so if you didn't fall within a certain range the Rift S was just unusable. The quest 2 is undoubtedly an S tier simply for the fact that it truly expanded the reach of VR to the masses. And while the Quest 3 isn't as successful in sales, it's a really amazing upgrade, that most any Quest 2 user would have jumped on if inflation hadn't destroyed everyone's disposable income. But with the 3S out now, we have a new champ for getting new people into VR. It's nice they were able to recycle the optics of the quest 2, but it would have been even better if they were able to get fully adjustable ipd into it.
the quest 3 is the biggest s tier headset it has amazing graphics and a better fov then the quest 2 and it maybe more expensive but it is completely worth the price it’s a fantastic piece of hardware
Quest 2 is an outstanding headset. Very cheap and it's tracking is great. Contains many features. For those who never got a VR headset before, I recommend buying the Oculus Metaquest 2.

I have quest 3 and the tracking for the controllers occasionally flicks your hand so if you’re verting in gtag, for example, if you move your hands too much then it might shove you off the wall. The battery life is also slightly less than the quest 2. Otherwise, the quest 3 has better graphics and 2x more processing power, so it rarely crashes and can run some pretty high-tolling games on it. I’d recommend if you want quality games, get the quest 3 but if you want fast-paced games like beat saber or gorilla tag, get the quest 2

Im keeping my quest two it’s a little stressful at times but I don’t really see a point in upgrading I’ll wait till the quest 4 cause right now the quest 3 can’t do a lot more than the quest 2
Quest 4? Nah, we all know Oculus releases a random vr headset before a numbered one, like between the 2 and 3 was the quest pro, and between the quest 1 and 2 was rift S, idk. Maybe Quest Master?
I have the Quest 2 and Quest Pro, and have tried the Quest 3 for a bit and out of the 3 the Quest Pro is my favorite, however, I still agree with your rankings. Quest 2 is great for what it is, didn't really have any major issues. Quest 3 was a pain to deal with; terrible facial interface, vignetting around the edges of the lenses making it not feel like an upgrade to the Quest 2, screen-door effect returns despite higher resolution, loses tracking where Quest 2 doesn't even in a well-lit room, less tracking FoV due to lack of top cameras (can't reach upwards with your controllers), internal battery drains too quickly and finding a third-party external battery solution that works is very slim, and garbage microphone. All these reasons made me return it and use the money on a second-hand Quest Pro which is my favorite headset to date. On paper, the Quest 3 is technically a better headset, but reading the brochure and actually trying out the product are very different. Quest Pro has great lenses with actual edge-to-edge clarity and no vignette which also allows you to take full advantage of eye-tracking, no screen-door effect despite technically having ever so slightly less resolution than the Quest 2, better quality display panels than Quest 3, premium feeling controllers with excellent tracking (when they don't freak out or overheat), slightly better battery life than Quest 2 and rear-mounted, decent speakers and microphone, the only major downside is it can get uncomfortable on the forehead if not adjusted perfectly. Quest 3 does still have better speakers, comfort, and performance than both, but that's where it ends.
the quest 3 interface is the same as the quest 2 the mic got fixed in a update and from what I tested there isn’t any screen door affect The battery is trash yes but it’s still way better then the quest 2 and I have both
@@ofbrandgorgin Facial interface, not user interface. 😂 That thing only fits kids faces or Mark's lizard head and doesn't stay at the settings you set it at, and for a long time there was no alternative.

Only ever used quest 1 2 and 3, but they all function as pc headsets if you have a pc so all the extra bs really isnt needed, but for a top tier experience it probably is. Honestly, ive spent hundreds of hours in these headsets and if you want the most bang for your buck, get a quest 2.
I got my quest 2 like 2 months ago and I have to say it is worth every single penny and every single second I spend on it
I have the Quest 2 and Quest Pro, and have tried the Quest 3 for a bit and out of the 3 the Quest Pro is my favorite, however, I still agree with your rankings.
Quest 3 does still have better speakers, comfort, and performance than both, but that's where it ends.
the quest 3 interface is the same as the quest 2 the mic got fixed in a update and from what I tested there isn’t any screen door affect
The battery is trash yes but it’s still way better then the quest 2 and I have both
@@ofbrandgorgin Facial interface, not user interface. 😂 That thing only fits kids faces or Mark's lizard head and doesn't stay at the settings you set it at, and for a long time there was no alternative.
@@DesuVR it stays on the settings fine it just means you either got a defect on yours or it’s broken and it fits fine for everyone I have let try it so you must have a big ass head
@@ofbrandgorgin No it's a common problem many reviewers have mentioned too. Dunno if Meta has tightened that up in a revision or something but don't deny it like the problem doesn't exist.
@@DesuVR maybe it is not good on some people but quest 3 is way better the 2
The Quest Pro was meant for professional use, you can't possibly rate it as a user that has VR for personal use..
your list is so acurate i agree with all if the headset plasment and 1 quest 2 is actullay alot better then all headsets i own quest 2 and i love it
Only ever used quest 1 2 and 3, but they all function as pc headsets if you have a pc so all the extra bs really isnt needed, but for a top tier experience it probably is. Honestly, ive spent hundreds of hours in these headsets and if you want the most bang for your buck, get a quest 2. It has everything you need without going over the top price wise for some extra gadgets.
AND FULLY AGREED LIST
