Foveated rendering would make battery life longer. It is not only about quality and performance. BTW. I wonder about condition of battery in quest 3 when it is so easy to drain it to 0%. Full drain is not healthy for batteries.

I was a quest 1 user. I was already amazed by it back then, but will get a quest 3 in 3 days on my birthday, I'm excited to try it out myself and notice the stunning difference! It's incredible how far VR has come, thank you for your review!
@@Pakio-t4f I got it! The graphics are good and the weight of the controllers and headset are much more comfortable to play with. The audio is also really good and I love the mixed reality option. One problem is the battery tho..it doesn't last really long, since it's made smaller. Sometimes the screen glitches when loading smth in a game, but that's not a big issue for me and will propably get fixed. But since I only used a Quest 1 before, I'm really happy with it so far! :D
Genuinely the BEST comparison and overall 'review' of the Quest 3 on YT. SO well done man! I've subbed. I've been on the fence about getting into VR for about 2 years now and once Q3 was announced deliberately held off. That said when it released I was disappointed by the features/stats but your comparison of them against the Q2 and more importantly the far more expensive Q-Pro has made me decide to take the plunge into VR. You cover a few in this video but it'd be great if you could make a video on the best accessories (like Top 3 for each type) for the Quest 3 as that's the obvious next step for someone like me.
Thanks for the kinds words and the sub! I'm glad the video was helpful and don't forget to click the link in the pinned comment to get a free $30 meta store credit when you activate your new headset. No matter what product you are evaluating, your reviews are always so thorough and intuitive. Yet again, I find myself heading straight to the comments section to rate you and your video - outstanding as always!
being a day 1 quest 2 owner. i upgraded to the quest3 a month after it came out. while i do like the improvements in the main areas there are 2 issues that still stick with it that are really cheap to fix and would make the experience a whole lot better. 1st thing is with the quest2 they used a fabric face mask which meta tried to make up for by sending out free silicone covers just to the same thing on the quest3 except..we didnt get free covers this time. 2nd thing is i noticed on the quest3 they added 2 more speakers to the arms. which is completely unnecessary. i noticed that at like 60% volume on either the Q2 or Q3 if you simply cup your hands over your ears it makes it 2x louder, fuller, richer. on amazon they sell "ear muffs" which slide over the arms and do what i said with the hands if they did something like that it would of saved money on the unit itself and provided wayy better sound quality with less power usage. oh and by the way. just like the quest 2 elite strap. the quest3 version is being recalled as well for the same exact reasons. they need to discontinue them especially at their price
This is a great review. Very in-depth and well articulated without unnecessary noise. Pretty much agree with everything said in here regarding Q2 vs Q3 comparison (I own both). Q3 was worth for the lenses alone for me. The difference between fresnel and pancake is massive. Moving the jack sort of baffles me - I have no idea why they did it, but I can live with it. Controller tracking seems similar to Q2, with less dead zoning. Battery life is pain, but that is just the cost of all the tech inside. Still holds way longer than my already degraded Q2 battery. I didn't notice any problems with PCVR over Airlink on Q3, seems to run same as Quest 2, though I heard there are some problems with Wifi 5 routers not running AX standard (mine does)
The quick release button... Many thanks for sharing this nugget of information! I did not realise it was there, and struggled like a crazy man to get the battery cover off last I changed the battery.
Not only the best review I've seen (watched 10 videos and no one gave good side by side comparisons) but kudos for sharing the gospel. Instant subscribe. Bless you brother.
I preferred the Quest 3 sound at 100% volume. More bass does not necessarily mean a better sound. Midrange was superior, and the "space" the sound filled was fuller and more present.
@eeeeyuke 100 percent. I got my quest 2 with a bobvr strap and extra battery's in mint condition for £200 this was about 9 months ago now they are selling g for £150-£170 all day every day.
FYI You don't need a 6e support on the computer if you use a 6e router. Your computer doesn't need to connect directly using Wifi to the headset if you use an eithernet cable. Plug the eithernet cable from your computer to the 6e router and then you just need to rely on the router talking to the 6e capable Quest 3 headset.
I love the Pro's open interface. I don't play games, just use it for BigScreen lying down. Quest 2 rests on cheekbones, can't see evironment and mists up. Even in summer forehead never sweats wearing the Pro. Love it. Hope more open design VR headsets are released on par with the Pro. I had XReal glasses but they broke fast and were very limited, and not very immersive at all.
I love this video I have nearly watched all the videos about Quest 3 and you explained all that we needed practically specs are just specs the usage is important thank you! You did this video by a very good dedication we can see it!
Yep! When you set up your new headset, you'll be asked if you want to import all your games. It even imported my game saves from the Quest 2. But I think you have to enable cloud backup for the games on your Quest 2 first. It should be on by default.
Great review! Detailed and to the point. As a Quest 2 owner found this incredibly helpful when comparing. I've found I can finally play Half Life Alyx using Steam VR and it's never been better, so I'd be curious how much the supersampling compares to native quest 3 increase in pixels per eye.
Echoing the well-deserved sentiments throughout these comments, this is the finest comparison video I have ever seen, and I've seen waaaaay too many! Congrats and kudos on the wonderful work, and thank you for such valuable insights!
And a lot of games have a built in setting for boosting the res. I have a 3070 and it can run most games at high/max settings at a solid 90fps with virtual desktop. With ASW, the PC only needs to render half the target framerate.
Do you feel that if one plays their games from the PC, using the Dev tool (which one, Quest Game Optimizer or something in Virtual Desktop? I'm a noob...), with either headset, the difference in hardware between the headsets is less important than comparing standalone between them both?
Thank you so much for this video! My family just bought a refurbished quest 2(250 gb) as our first vr headset. I was kicking myself after hearing the q3s is in the similar price range but not as big of a storage space. If we enjoy vr and use it consistently maybe we’ll upgrade in the future.
I LOOOOOOOOVE your channel, SO MUCH, that I'm praying for you to reach your thousands of subscribers sooner than later. It's not only entertaining, but full of knowledge and anticipation! You make us dream and wish for more! Thank you for doing this!!. 🙏🏻❤️🙌🏻
Great video ! and yup I agree the Quest3 vs QuestPro is not as clear cut. IMO, they're trade-offs as a fully decked out Quest3 (512GB, Elite Battery Strap, charging dock; I spent ~$1000) is already approaching the cost of a QuestPro setup (~$1000). I mostly use my Quest3 now, but only for standalone experiences and fitness. But when I get the itch for PCVR, I now have my QuestPro as a dedicated PCVR device (I still like the high quality QLED displays for PCVR).
It's a stretch to use overpriced first party accessories to make that point. The best headstraps with battery charger are third party ones that cost $50 or less. And nobody needs that $130 charging dock.
Added comments on items you mention: Well i have a Quest 3 and all this stuff you mention are mood points for me. I use my Quest 3 for SIM racing gaming and the built in Headphone quality sounds just fine for me. I have other devices if I want to listen to good quality music. Microphone I never use for anything because I do not do any recording of what I do in my gaming. My hand controllers work just fine, I only use them while sitting down playing SIM racing games, and only use them for menus control I bought a 3rd party head strap (BoboVR S3 Pro) and gives me better comfort and I now get a larger battery so I can use the Quest 3 for longer periods of time. Everything else you mention also works fine on the Quest 3 for me. Color Pass Through is better now with recent updates, and updates for Quest 3 are making the device better and more features/games. I play mainly PCVR SIM racing games via a USB link cable. Take care.
Wow! This is the best Quest 3 review I've seen. You touched on all of the great updates. As much as I loved the improvements on the Quest 3, I had to return it because the mura on it was significantly bad where it would break my immersion and be distracting. I am not sure if I just got a really bad unit, or all units have them to some degree but mine was worse, but I couldn't stand it. I have seen youtubers like VR Flight Sim Guy say that they tried 5 different headsets and finally found one without mura. This might be down to quality control. Did your headset have it?
@@spaceramshow253 mura is like a, barely visible, film grainy effect over your entire display that stays the same even as you look around It's much worse in dark environments, and it looks like if you recorded the footage then put this cheap 2d grain over it afterwards You can only see it physically, through the lens, because it's a result of the headset's resolution + the order of colors the manufacturer chose for the pixel grid
@@DarkReturns1 I had a Quest 2 before this, and despite the screen having lower pixels, lower FOV, older hardware, it still looked much better than the Quest 3 did. I haven't bought another one since I returned mine. I actually went to Best Buy to demo test their Quest 3 on display, and low and behold, it was there as well. I went with my girlfriend and she tried it on and she saw it too. It is really bad on white screens, light blue skies, light green grass. Very distracting unfortunately. Gonna wait a few month and see if people are still experiencing it.
The apple device ability to put screens / apps on different places at home and who knows maybe in the world by using GPS is fantastic. You do a trek today at the US and you are living in Spain and decide that mext year you return to the same trek in the US and the screen are waiting there for you at the same spot including direction arrows hou had created in the past.
Great review. Meta has a long way to go to make this VR stuff mainstream. Seeing how they're refining the gear, maybe ten to fifteen years from now, VR gear will be refined down to nothing more than a lightweight set of glasses.
Have you tried any of the headsets? from the stuff I've played the gaming market looks fit to burst into VR and MRVR. If hardware developers keep going at this speed big clunky head sets will be a distant funny memory.
@@thomascorley8232 bruh check out bigscreen beyond customized vr i aleady have quest 2 and without a headstrap it can give you a headache and eye strain but bigscreen beyond looks promising since it is customized for every customer indivisually
The issue is far more then just goggles. Its the control schemes and lack of software support. Developers have a hard time coming up with functions outside of just stand in place or teleport gameplay. Only people i know who active use VR are flight sim players and only with the use of things such a voice attack to get around the lack of visible control inputs. (hard to play a game that requires 100+ inputs when you have goggles on blinding you) It has the exact same issue people realized back in the early 90's experimenting with VR.
10 15 years? Dude, were literally almost there. I haven't touched my console since I got my head set. One factor I like the headset better is that games are back to being simple and fun. VR will continue to grow and headsets will be like contact lenses. It's the future and the future is here ..
Well hands down I went with and now own the Quest 3. Right now I do SIM Racing games and I am connected via a Link cable to my PC. The Graphic visuals and Wide sweet spot are really good. The Quest 3 is better than my backup VR headset which is the Oculus Rift S. The Rift S also has a wide sweet spot but the resolution is much lower than the Quest 3. I am slowly and "still learning" how to use the Quest 3 on some of the items you talk about. Also how to setup up the racing games to work with the Quest 3. Future things to do is get Sidequest and other apps which I have heard that help with graphics on games. I have older DOOM, Quake, and Wolfenstein games that worked with the Rift S, but now they don't run/work in VR with the Quest 3. I guess the mod for those older games only designed for the Rift S. Thanks for your video. Take care.
Thanks for this no BS review! I recently tried the Q3, and it was awesome, but just too uncomfortable for me, even with the Elite strap. Wish there was a VR headset that was actually comfortable. Maybe someday! The Q Pro seems to be pretty much obsoleted by the Q3, but it's still twice the price, LOL.
Thanks for the review. The Q2 controller rings saved my hands from the punching of walls, countertop edges, backs of chairs, etc. 😆 Life in a smallish apartment.
13:35: A potential downside to setting the IPD to the widest accommodation is that it might make it harder to focus on things that are "close" to the user. This is because your IPD gets slightly smaller as your eyes point inwards when focusing on close-up objects.
What a professional video! Top notch. I would only prefer that there be a little more pausing in-between topics. And if you are doing any removal of natural pauses in your speech, please don't. When videos go too fast, I have to back up and re-watch a lot and pause in-between statements so that I can have a chance to process what is being conveyed. UA-cam gives you the ability to back-up ten seconds, which is often too far. And I can access a 5-second back-up if I am on a computer, using the left-arrow key, but I have to first click on the video, or it treats it as a volume down control. I just like it when videos go a little slower, so that I don't need to re-watch or pause so much. Other than that, you did basically a perfect job, and I'm very impressed! Subscribing.
The Quests internal resolution of the environment and in games is lower than the screen resolution itself. Take that in to consideration. Its not native resolution. Therefore the Quest 3 could output a sharper picture with less pixel steps. But other than that very informative and complete comparison! Looking forward to see new content from you! Subscribed!
Sorry to hear about your facial interface being broken. Of course you can pay for one of Mata's colour facial intefaces which completely replaces what you have. This has a slightly softer fabric as well. There will be third party options developing facial interfaces as well, I'm personally waiting for VR Covers to see what they come up with.
Outstanding comparison video. I have no doubt you've earned yourself thousands of new subscribers due to the quality and objectivity of this video. Thank you!
I currently have a quest 1, and was looking for an upgrade since it's going to go out of support. Your video really helped with the decision. Think I will go with quest 3. Thanks a lot!
Buddy, sir, guy, skipper, captain, this was a very well made and informative review. And your opinion in the end was fair, great. Such a good job. Thank you very much. - Toronto, Canada.
once my quest 2 controllers bugged in pavlov and just kept vibrating until i took the batteries out, nice to know they can last more than an hour and a half constantly vibrating
What a brilliant review! I'm getting close to jump into vr for the first time, but to me it doesn't quite make sense to spend money on the Quest 2, I'd rather save a little longer and get the Quest 3 :) Thank you! Great job!
Awesome review. I've had my quest 2 for many years now, play it very frequently, mostly for pcvr. I'll probably upgrade to a quest 3 eventually, but as you say at the end, the performance is fine, so I'm not sure it's worth it right now. The upgrades in fov/refresh would be cool, and while I don't really care about MR games, I do like the idea of using the quest 3 to have multiple "monitors" up in a virtual space. It's so tempting.
I was gonna jump on to the comment section when you tested the sound, to say that the Quest 2 had way more dynamics at 100%, and the Quest 3 is using compression and brickwall limit to achieve higher perceived sound. That's just trickery.. And right after, you confirmed what I heard 🙏 I love my quest 3 in every other aspect, and I'm happy that it gives a perceived higher volume in certain areas, but it's I'm no way any better,, on the contrary...
I've had the Pico 4, quest 2 and now the quest 3. Unsure why reviewers think the sound quality is acceptable. I think it's poor considering the price of the headset. Surely an official sound option like HTC VIVE should be provided at a slightly higher price if needed. Meta should collaborate with an audio company for this
Love this! I am hoping to upgrade from my Quest 2 in the future and these results are surprising. I expected the Pro to be the best considering the price and the name. Good to see I can get a better experience without losing an arm and a leg 😅.
Just purchased quest 2 due to budget restraints and am overall very satisfied with my first dive into VR...for £199 and i am delighted with my purchase.
For someone like me for whom the last experience with VR was the Gear VR 8 years ago, the Quest 3 is pretty much what you thought the Quest 2 already was. It certainly doesn't feel like 8 years have passed, except for software. From the Gear VR's phone's great OLED to poor LCD, with a resolution not much higher.. The lenses are much better yeah but far from perfect. The passthrough cameras are piss-poor, and I suppose only Quest 2 owners are happy with them because they were even poorer then. It also manages to be less comfortable and blocks light less than the Gear VR. And it doesn't feature eye-tracking which should be standard since the PSVR (and should be even more important for a CPU-limited device) and which Apple will take to a new level. So I say: amazing software, poor hardware. So for Quest 2 owners it's probably great, but for the average consumer who is waiting for VR to be ready, I'd say "not there yet, wait some more years". (not saying I'm not liking mine, I made the decision to start with VR now, even though I'm just not amazed)
Have also GearVR. I hate the SDE and small FOV. Everybody says Quest 3 has no SDE and great FOV. Is this true? Whats better for 180 SBS Videos? GearVR or Quest 3?
@@majestic91 I'd say there's no SDE in Quest 3. Yeah everyone says the FOV is great, to me it's just average. It doesn't cover your whole view for sure. And not just that, but they often lower quality outside the center, a bit like the PSVR does, but WITHOUT eye tracking, so you're better not looking on the sides anyway. But anything is better than GearVR today anyway, GearVR isn't supported anymore and it didn't have motion tracking. I was only using it as a comparison for quality. Quest 3 is definitely a lot better, I'm just saying it's not "8 years later" better.
Buy a big screen beyond VR and you will see the future of VR, and where meta might go in 3-5 years, the big screen is amazing , you will be in around 1800 euro for the big screen but it's 100% worth it. (you need steam VR light houses and controllers, cheaper if you all ready have these.) and a good PC RTX 3080 and up.
Since i'm not new to VR and used to own the Rift S and Cosmos Elite.. Quest 3 is my go to. Thanks heaps for the indepth video, you really did answer every single question i had with the best answer to them. I Appreciate it heaps!
As far as the left right headphone issue you could wear the headphones backwards (swapping left/right) and then possibly find a headphone cable that is wired in reverse so the output from the headset is reversed by the time it enters the headphones.
i have a quest 2, I bought it when it first came out and I used it only a few times every month, the lenses and the weight of the VR were making me sick and I could not use it for more than a couple of hours, I waited up until a few days ago when amazon made the 512GB Quest 3 cheaper and I bought it. In my opinion IT IS SO MUCH MORE COMFORTABLE than the quest 2 and for 500ish € it is definetly worth the upgrade with the mixed reality and different lenses.
Great comparison Q2/3/pro. Do you know if the Quest3 (or Pro) allows to Scan and store several rooms in order to "rebuild" virtually a complete house? Also, can a virtual room be shared with other people so they can "visit" your virtual space (I understand that you would not be there in the space to greet them, though) ? Thanks for your answers.
That was an EXCELLENT review and comparison ! I really liked it very much and want to thank you for your efforts to produce this video. Greetings from Germany !
Very good review. So mich information in 15 minutes. Your not wasting my time so I’m subscribing. I have the pro and was wondering if i should upgrade to the quest 3. I mostly use it for simracing and i miss the better resolution like the hp reverb.
I can also vouch for the soundcore earbuds. They arent the greatest buds on the market, but theyre great for quest and the adapter sometimes makes it more convenient for PC than most Bluetooth ones.
Omg thank you for this, I could’ve sworn I looked all over the website but I couldn’t find the quest pro’s screen resolution, this was super helpful. Only thing I’ll say is that I’m pretty sure if you’re a hardcore VR gamer… you’ll be using a pc for storage.
To anyone in the comments who are torn between the three as a quest 3 user the meta 3 is the best out of the other two by far in the video it proves that the meta 3 is the best by far and i can confirm that i bought the quest 2 for my daughter in 2021 she has it still up until now but it's broke i got her the meta 3 its 10000 times better then any vr on the market right now the quality the lenses the colour's compared to the 2 its a much better upgrade for an extra few quid i dont think there is any need to make more right now in this moment of time quest 3 is the future
Great video! QUESTION: I use a Q.Pro about 20 hrs a week for work and am starting to feel Neck fatigue. I believe this is because of its design being so front heavy. DO You notice any difference when in regards to weight distribution between the Q3 and Qpro, enough say it might help with my issue? Thanks for your reply! :)
Great review, thanks! Exactly the informations what i am looking for. I will stick with my quest 2 and will jump to quest 4 (or whatever it's name will be) I mostly just play Beat Saber so the image quality is not that important and the upgrade is not big enough to worth the investment for me in that regard. Since i had CV1 for years and most of my games purchased on PC I won't take the adventage of the stronger HW, because my first thing after booting is to connect to my PC via airlink. CV1 level (with 3-4 lighthouse sensor) or even better controller tracking could have convinced me, but the improvement in that area isn't significant enough either. I need something game changer like not needing to glue down the sensors around the room or the airlink was for CV1->Q2, or significantly better display than my current setup (doubld/triple the pixel density or something similar)
Hey, Daniel. Regarding games on PB via Airlink (or Virtual Desktop, for example), wouldn't the Quest 3's resolution still improve the visual feed from the computer? I'm weighing my options between a Quest 2 ($280 CAD) or a Quest 3 ($650 CAD). Huge difference in price! Thanks :)
If you're looking for wireless gaming earbuds you may also be interested in the JBL Quantum TWS. I took these over the Soundcore VR P10 cause I preferred the look, colour, and thought the RGB (which you can probably turn off) looked silly.
@17:20 no, think of it as playstation +, xbox gold and stuff you KEEP the free ga es they give you each month. playstation you have to have the subscription to keep the "free games" they "give" you
I got mine Quest 2 headset for 50 in like new condition, 20 for unique strap, 20 for sweetproof face mask and 20 for charger / oculus link cable which charge my Quest simultaneously while I using it. Only 99 🤑 (I can buy controllers for up to 40, but do not need it because I using hands tracking in both system navigation and gaming). For 30 I can buy unique powerbank and use Quest for all day long (which can also charge other usb-C devices using 30 w fast charging)
I upgraded to the pro controllers for my quest 3 since I snipe in onward prone with a forcetube gun stock and the controllers lose tracking when really close to my head/under the headset.
Subed. Needed something like this since this year (I'm in the Halloween time currently) I'm getting a VR headset for my Christmas/happiest day...but i didn't know which i wanted..thank you techisode... - Kate
I compared the haptics on the Quest 3 and Quest Pro controllers. I liked the Quest Pro controllers, it's strong and direct. Similar to the Quest 2, but more direct. But the Quest 3 haptics is week and feels like it's too short. To me it was unusable in Beat Saber, although you can probably fine tune the haptics with Beat Saber mods.
The haptics on Quest 3 feel higher resolution. Like when you glide over UI elements, you feel these little bumps. Far more detailed. It's definitely an improvement.

I'm working on getting a single link that can take you to any store you prefer to buy from, but it'll probably be a few more days before it's up and running. Regardless, enjoy your headset!

Thanks for sharing these links im trying to get a headset thats good but not to expensive also some attachments.
The best Quest 3 review I've seen. Very detailed and technical. Great stuff!
I was a quest 1 user. I was already amazed by it back then, but will get a quest 3 in 3 days on my birthday, I'm excited to try it out myself and notice the stunning difference!
It's incredible how far VR has come, thank you for your review!

Good review man. No bs, straight to the point, covers everything needed and without bias or missing out any specifics.
He did miss a solid point on face and eye tracking. I was sad about that
THAT'S HOW YOU MAKE "PEOPLE" MORE ISOLATED AND RETARD
And if you haven't purchased the headset yet, using one of the affiliate links in the pinned comment to buy the headset helps support the channel at no extra cost to you. :)
And thanks for the accessory video request. The thought had crossed my mind to make one so it's good to hear that some people want to see that.

Hey could you send the link to that earmuff thing please?
Amazingly in depth review that is genuinely helpful in understanding the benefits of Quest 3. Fantastic work!
Don't buy a new Quest 2. Used market is WAY cheaper.
buy used if you want 20% of the original battery power and 7 cracks in one lens
@humbleyumble mine was in mint condition for$150. You're always free to see the product before buying.
@@eeeeyukesame for me. Last year got a 64gb for $180. Mint.
I'll wait to get a quest 3 used again too.
Is the quest pro transparent? Can you see through when it's off
Terrific breakdown, really helps make up my mind between the Quest 2 and 3 as a late adopter.
I love this video I have nearly watched all the videos about Quest 3 and you explained all that we needed practically specs are just specs the usage is important thank you! You did this video by a very good dedication we can see it!

By far the best review and comparison that I've seen on any VR headsets.
*If you have the Quest 2, can you still transfer all your games from Quest 2 to Quest 3?*
Thanks so much for the kind words!! I really appreciate that :)
Quest 3 for PCVR is next level when you boost the bitrate with the dev tool, as long as you have a meaty system to power it (4090 etc)
And a lot of games have a built in setting for boosting the res. I have a 3070 and it can run most games at high/max settings at a solid 90fps with virtual desktop. With ASW, the PC only needs to render half the target framerate.
@@blastofowhat cpu u running
core i7@@jonjonsalaam
Do you feel that if one plays their games from the PC, using the Dev tool (which one, Quest Game Optimizer or something in Virtual Desktop? I'm a noob...), with either headset, the difference in hardware between the headsets is less important than comparing standalone between them both?
Thank you so much for this video! My family just bought a refurbished quest 2(250 gb) as our first vr headset. I was kicking myself after hearing the q3s is in the similar price range but not as big of a storage space. If we enjoy vr and use it consistently maybe we’ll upgrade in the future.

Gotta say I appreciate the level of detail you went to with this review. Very helpful thank you!
Dude, one of the best reviews I've seen in a long time, you've definitely earned a subscriber!
Loved the concise delivery. Great comparison that helped me chose quest 3 over the pro.
Same. grabbed a refurb with extra 2yr coverage at 450
Excellent review video. Best I’ve ever watched. 10/10. Liked and subscribed.
Such an excellent comparison. This answered the questions I had between Pro and Quest 3.
As someone who has had the original Oculus Quest since 2020 I see this as an absolute win.
I have a rift S, but I mainly play iRacing and racing games, so I don't know how big the progress will actually be
Great video ! and yup I agree the Quest3 vs QuestPro is not as clear cut.
@Blob2Swole As someone who had both, Quest Pro all day long. After using pancake lenses it is hard to go back.
It's a stretch to use overpriced first party accessories to make that point. The best headstraps with battery charger are third party ones that cost $50 or less. And nobody needs that $130 charging dock.
Added comments on items you mention:
Well i have a Quest 3 and all this stuff you mention are mood points for me.
I use my Quest 3 for SIM racing gaming and the built in Headphone quality sounds just fine for me. I have other devices if I want to listen to good quality music.
Microphone I never use for anything because I do not do any recording of what I do in my gaming.
My hand controllers work just fine, I only use them while sitting down playing SIM racing games, and only use them for menus control
I bought a 3rd party head strap (BoboVR S3 Pro) and gives me better comfort and I now get a larger battery so I can use the Quest 3 for longer periods of time.
Tf is mura
@@spaceramshow253 😅🤣😂
@@spaceramshow253 mura is like a, barely visible, film grainy effect over your entire display that stays the same even as you look around
It's much worse in dark environments, and it looks like if you recorded the footage then put this cheap 2d grain over it afterwards
You can only see it physically, through the lens, because it's a result of the headset's resolution + the order of colors the manufacturer chose for the pixel grid
I've owned almost every VR headset and never heard of such a thing
Just went from my quest 2 to 3 and I am loving it! Even ordered a batter head strap and the touch plus hand straps for my controllers :D
Thanks for the great comparison review. I was considering upgrading from my Quest2. This information was a significant help.
Best video in regards to the differences... thank you for your time and duty!
Finally a good review comparing those 3 VR head sets.
One day it will be contact lenses that have augmented reality. The future is always on the horizon, but it is also always now.
Why did they make the pro?
for the metaverse and stuff like that, not only for gaming
It came out two years before the Quest 3.
For the amateurs of course

Exellent video, best i comparison video by far I have ever seen. Not only tells you the differences but also show them. New sub

Best Quest VR review video out there. I was looking for all this informations! You earned my sub.
Best review of the Quest 3 I've seen by far.
Thanks!!
2 minutes in and I'm blown away by the detail of this review. Amazing job!
Thank you, this is just what I was looking for! Great job!
Since i'm not new to VR and used to own the Rift S and Cosmos Elite.. Quest 3 is my go to.
Thanks heaps for the indepth video, you really did answer every single question i had with the best answer to them. I Appreciate it heaps!
best video on this specific comparison, very nice
As far as the left right headphone issue you could wear the headphones backwards (swapping left/right) and then possibly find a headphone cable that is wired in reverse so the output from the headset is reversed by the time it enters the headphones.
Hi guys you should see how clear gopro and insta360 video copied into the DCIM folder of the quest 3 look. Really great high bitrate to me.
i have a quest 2, I bought it when it first came out and I used it only a few times every month, the lenses and the weight of the VR were making me sick and I could not use it for more than a couple of hours, I waited up until a few days ago when amazon made the 512GB Quest 3 cheaper and I bought it.

I can also vouch for the soundcore earbuds. They arent the greatest buds on the market, but theyre great for quest and the adapter sometimes makes it more convenient for PC than most Bluetooth ones.
Doesn’t the option to run PCVR games wirelessly mean the storage size differences don’t matter? Thanks, great video.

Omg thank you for this, I could’ve sworn I looked all over the website but I couldn’t find the quest pro’s screen resolution, this was super helpful. Only thing I’ll say is that I’m pretty sure if you’re a hardcore VR gamer… you’ll be using a pc for storage.

Find a counter weight for the back and you might have a better time or train your neck to be stronger
@17:20 no, think of it as playstation +, xbox gold and stuff you KEEP the free ga es they give you each month. playstation you have to have the subscription to keep the "free games" they "give" you
Quest pro is qled, not lcd. Pcvr colors should be better. Also DFR for pcvr is like giving you a free gpu upgrade.

Very good comparison! Great work. Thank you.
Never had one still debating gaming laptop or quest 3 maybe I’ll wait for the quest 4
It's definitely an improvement.
those can always be improved by future updates to the firmware
