if people were just more like paul, the world would be a better place
And music would be better too.
That guitar is not from 1987. That guitar is 1987.
Wrong, Ibanez built Paul a custom Iceman when they made his Fireman model.
If you go watch his old instructional videos of him, this particular one it's shown.
Does your inability to understand humor often cause you to embarrass yourself online?
please could you stop the noise i'm trying to get some rest
It's not my fault. It's all the unborn chicken voices in your head.
TheParanoidAndroid79 what's that?
i am smiling just watching him playing guitar.. awesome guy
Indeed! Born entertainer :-)
He’s ridiculous. And I mean that in a good way lol 🤘
Love listening to Paul talk. His music isn't even really "my thing", it's about 10 years since I even owned an electric. He's just the perfect ambassador for people who are passionate about guitars.
Gotta love Paul, especially his expressions when playing 😂
love this fucking guy
love the fact that Paul always gives lessons in rock n roll.. dont just stand there and play.. be visual.. you may not be as good a player as Paul, but you can always look like you are having just as much fun.. rock on dude, rock on
Memo to Ibanez: please make that guitar Paul's next signature model. In two colors if possible: pink and maybe purple like Paul's one Fireman.
Humble guy... Still one of my favorite guitarist of all time
at first i thought he was hitting a harmonic with his elbow in the begining ......fooled me lol
brb trying that
well? did it work?
I thought same.
Paul's expressions make this all the more awesome!
You ok bro?
Great guitarist. Great guy! 🕶✌🏻
Nobody has more fun playing guitar than this guy. Got to meet Paul in Nashville a few months back. Such a nice person.
I need that guitar color in my life. And that tremendous ability.
This guy is a ball of joy. Never seen him talk before, I like him.
That Ice-Stroyer, is fucking amazing.
Paul is great amazing player, and he get's us!!
Staggeringly gifted musician, never fails to dazzle in these short films and is arguably the most entertaining guy out there. You'd watch just for his comments. What wouldn't you give to play just for 15 mins to this standard...???
Paul Gilbert is the Bill Nye of guitar.
he's the paul schafer of guitar
Except Paul doesn't blow smoke up peoples asses to get a pat on the back of inclusion.
Dude u are so cool. Love ur passion for guitar. U r inspiring
Frank Marino a new rock and roll! Fantastic!
Paul Gilbert's voice makes him sound like a nice chap who smokes a pipe and reads the newspaper. When he plugs in a guitar, it's time for shock and awe.
SOLD!!!
Please make Paul demo all your videos! Just, give him a bunch of free pedals and I'm sure he'll be up for it :)
He seems like such a genuine guy.
Paul, you're getting skinnier than last year. :)
+Yo Gwee Japan changes you.
+Philip Cooper what do u mean by Japan changes you?
Hi is the effect of this pedal better in the send and return loop or in the front of the amp? Before or after a distortion pedal? Thanks
Amazing, as always. Is he ok? He looks emaciated :/
Damn, I was thinking the same.
Good one el Gilberto... But a bit commercial now maybe? U didn't venture into the low setting or was it simply not up to par?
man..!! amazing person he is.
That’s sounds awesome!!
wow!crazy player
He's still having a blast.
Love it Paul :) Hilarious and sounds absolutely amazing
Sound like tap harmonic
+liys540 Good call, exactly what I was thinking. It sounds like a tap harmonic because there is no pick attack on the octave note.
Love PAul! Whats not to like about this guy! You are THEE Man
What are the amps at the back? A marshall dsl5c and the other?
Love everything he play
SubNuP before or after fuzz, distortion, wah?
Paul should be highly paid to do more pedal demos...always entertaining but his voice is also becoming more and more Jimmy Stewart like as he gets older.
best pedal demo ever
Yes Mr. Gilbert pulling it out of the air is WAY better! Lol! But only YOU could pull that off sir! I'm loving most of the stuff coming out of t.c.el. I got their mini boost and Flashback I'm liking this pedal a lot. I'm using an Electro Harmonix Pitchfork for my pitch stuff thus far. But I WILL check out the Sub-N-Up! My tone in my religion and you sir are the POPE!
I was thinking that this was going to be the new pedal that was released because I noticed that there was a Sub'n'Up effect on the bass amps and wondered why there was no pedal. 😜
I notice Paul doesn't shred here, possibly because the pedal tracking would lag?
:'D
Woah, I didn't know he still had any of his old Racer X guitars. I remember him selling them on his website in early 2000s but I guess not this one!
He did sell this one too last year
He reminds me of Jeff Goldblum when he talks.
On 2:26 , god that note reminded me immediately of the first note on jimi hendrix's house burning down, it's uncanny!
The Fred Willard of guitar players.....
I just wish it had foot-switchable presets like the Pog2! The Sub n Up sounds great though
wonder if the amp head is a prototype paul gilbert marshall ?
Dai Evans probably different winged C tubes.
best faces in rock
omg dude. i laughed so hard. thank you!
You are GREAT :)
#Ibanez even if it is a limited special run please bring back the pink ibanez destroyer, I'll be the first in line to lay down my green for one of those babies!!
Paul Gilbert is a madman- but does this high octave sound better than pitch fork?
Paul is amazing, but the real question is how good his Garrison Keillor impression is.
Hes a nut ! A super cool dude too.
brilliant
That guitar is older than me. holy shit!
That guitar tho
Paul is a genius hahaha
Like an artificial harmonic, he was using it , straight out of the 80's playbook!
And now I want the pedal.. Thanks I guess but my bank is not going to like it.
129 is cheaper than a used POG!
Haha sick demo
Paulie's lookin a little rough. Still sounds killer though. Hang in there, Paulie!
So hendrixian trick !
his pinky finger is longer than any of my fingers, probably longer than any of my fingers put together
Is it just me or does Paul sound like he's doing an Alan Alda impression.
G.O.D.
We can see your leg hitting the pedal, by the way.
Great playing. Eat something
Comment of the week! It’s true too!
instant like.
I've noticed I can't get the same effect if I don't use the facial expressions😙😗😄🤘😎
''What the heck is goin' on?"LOL!
TC Electronic................................................................................................................. sssssssssssssss!!
Getting your face right is the key.
FRANK MARINO! THANK YOU!
It helps a lot haha
Jeff Goldblum can shred.
Youre crazy...but I like it
The should change their name to tc electronic'S' everyone calls them that.
I bet his kids never let him drop them off at school for fear of getting embarrassed.
Jimi Hendrix
Eddie Van Halen
Joe Satriani
Steve Vai
Paul Gilbert
Yngwie Malmsteen
Steve Morse
Jimmy Page
Ritiche Blackmore
Jeff Beck
Brian May
Dave Gilmour
paul a really master...and he is of course a guitarist, who sounds like hell even on 50 bucks axe, and also on this sub n up...but
i bought this pedal, but this is the first one by tc I own, which is total shit!!!
RoCK & RoLL!
esta re duro paul xD
I say that with respect. Btw.
Just keep the lower octave always on, and fire your bass player.
:D
;-)
Someone feed thid virtuoso a porterhouse steak and a baked potato!
polyphonic?!?!?!?!
Awesome awesome demo.....Ibanez reissue that guitar!!!!
Lol "tear people's faces off with that thing!"
Paul you're skinny! Please eat!
Fratzengulasch von Meister höchstselbst ;-)
TC is a day late and a dollar short with this pedal.
I can't think of any other octave pedal that combines glitchy monophonic with pristine polyphonic modes, not too mention it can do some swirly organ tones. It's absolutely another well thought out entry into TC's line.
I get that your comment is just your two cents, but I'd pony up 98¢ more just to see you shut your trap.
Never understood the appeal of monophonic octaves. For everything else, the POG line has been around for 10+ years. Hence my day late and dollar short comment...tough guy.
I'm sure the Sub'nUp will have success. The POG is great but this TC is more affordable and more versatile. You're right on one thing : they are late. The should have create this long time before. Like they should create a reverb that has shimmer setting !
The POG is a different thing, way more synthy than the SnU. Both their own thing, both great. Only the SnU is much more affordable....
lol genius acting!
That pedal makes quite a face
This guy needs to go on a high carb diet,he's way too skinny.
