When I saw this video, I thought "I hope Paul demoes it." After I clicked it, and I heard him start talking, I knew I was in for a treat. Love his tangents.
He's like that travelling salesman who's top of the sales board and nobody knows why, so corporate gets him to train the other salesmen but his stream of consciousness just confuses everybody.
When did Gilbert become so Eccentrically Cool?! The man is definitely aging like fine wine. Thanks, Paul for taking the time, and thanks, TC for the great video.
THIS! PLEASE GIVE THIS MAN A SHOW! Exactly this format: Paul doing Paul, telling stories while face melting playing from pop to raw metal, telling subtle jokes you get few seconds later, total awe, you learn with a smile on your face. Great environment, even lights are perfect. Please, this is the Paul Gilbert show, I would watch it forever!
Most people don't know this about Pablo Gilberto, but he is an OG memelord. Watch his old instructional vids to see it. He was legit a TikTok kid in the late 80s/early 90s. I'm glad to see the scene bring him back him. He is young at heart and a gem. Thank you for this, TC.
I never get tired of listening to Paul and his music! He always has such a positive outlook on things and is truly gifted at his craft. Thanks for sharing your knowledge with us.
I hung out with him and the late Pat Torpey and watched an entire Kings X concert with them back in the day and they were the nicest two guys you could ever meet! They never once seemed annoyed which they easily could have done rather they were very talkative and we were just talking about how amazing Kings X was the entire show!
Paul Gilbert is a musical treasure. And can’t help himself from sharing with us all. Needless to say this pedal is already preordered. But kudos to every company who chooses this man as an ambassador. We don’t deserve him.
Paul Gilbert is what the guitar should always be: clearly passionate and FUN! He is such a great ambassador for the instrument. Deserves a page in the annals of rock'n'roll just for this. His speed picking with a 0.50 gauge pick is insane😂
My old instructor at MIT he was a master shredder and I came from the keef Richards school of playing the year was 1986 - all the metal heads wanted to be in Paul’s class, but he influenced me to just be myself, thank you Paul and Keith Wyatt and Dan Gill tommy tedesco, god bless you - Gil
Great lesson thrown in for free. I nearly pulled the trigger on a mojomojo today but I wouldn’t mind paying that little bit extra for Paul’s signature mojo just because I like the guy, Rock on Paul !!
My order has been placed! What a genuine and honest dude! Just set up the cameras and guitar rig and let the endorser sell the product. And there’s no one better to tell you about the MojoMojo than Paul Gilbert! 🎸
Paul Gilbert is one of the few guitarists of his caliber to have the guts to acknowledge The Monkees (and in other interviews, Todd Rundgren) as musical influences. He continues to be a class act.
I love that Paul has the Alter Ego on his board, my all time Echo pedal and yes I do have the MojoMojo as well, stacked the Cinders OD, killer combo !!
Love the ol blues stomp, sounds like T-rex are waltzing around out side. Paul is so badass, what a journey from his first soundpage in GP magazine all those years ago!!
Everyone who has watched this needs to go out and buy a Mijo Mojo pedal because this was more a set of lessons than a product demo. We all owe TC Electronic this. Paul Gilbert you are amazing!
This is truly my favorite video on UA-cam. The most wholesome man talking about his favorite things. And accidentally selling me on the benefits of a tiny bit of delay.
take it from a regular joe..who has played guitar for almost 40 years...very competent in my style and skills..but i learn something or cop ideas from him eternally...and decided to try his online school which buy the way kids is not just for beginners and cant say enough on how great the whole experience is and the shear amount i have taken away from that even after playing guitar for so many years...paul is hands down the best guitar teacher and human being and i would urge all guitarist old and new to at least check it out..and for all the trolls...no i am not a paid shill for the man....just telling it like it is and can tell you this...the mojo is an awesome pedal as well.....
Man - 5:10 - your picking is SO tight ! SO clean & precise. For Rock & your style - there are few and far between who can pick so articulate. Not to mention you wrote and said how good your Apple Pie is.
What is really funny, is that nobody is talking about the mojo mojo. We are all talking about Paul. Anyway, best Ad video ever. I got a mojo mojo myself.
I bought my brown MojoMojo many years ago, then I found out Paul used it all the time, it has not left and will not leave my board ever. It's just a nice sound to start with and to go back too.
Dr. I think im suffering from depression. Do I need anti-depressants? No you need a couple Paul Gilbert videos. Lol not only is he a musical genius he is a breath of fresh air.
A well of knowledge, with a heart to share the water. Thank you again Mr. Gilbert for what you continue to do for the guitar and overall music community!!
I don't even like 98% of shred/technical guitar, but I just *LOVE* this guy. I always have. Guitar players with a healthy sense of humor are a special breed.
I am a new to the pedal game, I recently added this pedal to my current setup: HB Aeolus (Humbuckers) + Hot Rod Deluxe (Clean) + MOJO MOJO + BOSS DD500 Delay + Fender Tre Verb = OMG I love it! (Blues 60's Rock sound with some bite!) I have the regular MOJO MOJO, I may have to get the PG model too hmm, thank you for your demo Paul, sharing your talent, knowledge, and the pedal! God Bless!
MojoMojo is my No.1 drive pedal for years and it is the first one wich survived on my board and still makes me happy. I'm not a shredder at all but the pedal does it's Mojo also at lower gain terrain. Why can't we have a Paul Gilbert vid every day? I could listen to him all day long!!!
Rush, Boston, VH, Led Zeppelin, Racer x, beetles, Iron maiden, AC/DC and it all sounded like the perfect tone and he made it look effortless...from one simple little rig?! Dude is a magician!
I just got my Mojomojo pedal yesterday. Great pedal for getting a simple "Brown Sound". I'm loving it. PG Thank you, this pedal is truly helping me get the tone I've always wanted. My life is no better with that button on.
A Paul Gilbert pedal? I know he always used to have the MojoMojo on his board before he got a signature pedal from JHS. What a guy - love his enthusiasm!

whoever let Paul just keep talking is a genius.
Exactly this is great. Every paul gilbert video I learn something. 🙂
The best interviews with Paul are the ones where he just goes off on tangents. I love his JHS pedalboard interview for that reason
When I saw this video, I thought "I hope Paul demoes it." After I clicked it, and I heard him start talking, I knew I was in for a treat. Love his tangents.
He is quite the raconteur.
Yes yes they are

Paul Gilbert is a national treasure.
OMG, I was literally thinking the exact same thing (verbatim) as I was watching this video! Great minds, etc...
@@FenderTeleDeluxe great minds indeed. 😎
A global treasure
Insanely awesome player, down to earth as well as super influential
Nope.
He has never changed, from a young guy into being a little older, Paul has a sheer love of guitar and everything around it….. fantastic 😊
Paul is a freaking lunatic. One of the most interesting guys to listen to while he haves a conversation with people that aren't there.
We must protect Paul Gilbert at all costs.
Nope.
He's like that travelling salesman who's top of the sales board and nobody knows why, so corporate gets him to train the other salesmen but his stream of consciousness just confuses everybody.
TOO MUCH TALKING .....
Ok, that's funny. Been there done that.
Man, I was digesting a little your comment and it struck me... lol it looks like it!!! Hahahaha so funny!
EXACTLY! Like Pacino in GG GR!
This comment seems to be coming from a very personal place lololol
I am always stunned by Paul’s energy. Jesus !
I could listen to Paul Gilbert all day, every day - he's so entertaining
Me too
@@williamconway9813 You gotta see when Josh from JHS interviewed him and then PG interviewed Josh . (spoiler alert. they just didn't play guitar)
He has what so many great guitar players lack. He’s funny and interesting and endlessly entertaining. And the dude can shred.
When did Gilbert become so Eccentrically Cool?! The man is definitely aging like fine wine. Thanks, Paul for taking the time, and thanks, TC for the great video.

He's like the Jeff Goldblum of rock guitar
Yes!!
Weirdly spot on lol
I cannot believe I just smiled all the way through a 15 minute commercial.
If all commercials were like this one, more people would definitely watch.

Paul shredding at hyper speed and then playing Daydream Believer is the fucking coolest thing I saw all month.
I think one of the reasons why he is a great guitarist is becos he is also has a great passion about music in general.😊
@@chatbanaga5549 He's obviously highly intelligent - that doesn't hurt.

Indeed. King's X is famously criminally underrated, and a Mr. Big/King's X bill would be perfection. Rest in peace, Pat.
WHY oh WHY doesn't the whole world recognize the brilliance of King's X?!!!!!!!!
