It’s weird that they think having an adult section would hurt their relationships with advertisers but allowing children to see porn openly won’t.
Is it though?
This is Murica after all, dishonesty rules.
@@BastrdGodRAAAAA🦅🇺🇸🦅
Well it's a huge double standard that people simply don't care about, it's only predatory when men do stuff. But when women blatantly and openly do predatory things, they get away with it. Case in point.
You think so ? We will see about that .... Oh , people have to click a "I am over 18"-button ? Yeah thats fine , keep that HappyMeal advert going ... CAPITALISM BABY ...
@@renephilipps6422 They always have. Female p*do teachers who molest boys in the past have kept their teaching licenses and even avoided jail time. Now, if that was a man he would be guaranteed jail. Our society is degrading very quickly and nobody realizes it.
Artistic nudity is when a woman or man is fully naked, but without sexual theming unless based on trauma. They even got the definition wrong.
Yeah like an art class or something not flashing someone
Probably like for example the statues of some of the Roman Emperors that stand in Italy.

Twitch should just make a separate website for 18+ content at this point. Either that or just put an 18+ warning as you enter the site and get rid of the "meant for 13+" statement.
Edit: Also, them saying "Well I'm not targeting the younger demographic." Then GO TO ANOTHER PLATFORM THAT DOESN'T!!!
This
There's already 100's of sites doing 18+ content like this. The best profit available is shoehorning it into a lower age website to pull in money from people who can't/won't use an 18+ site.
@@Vincent_Beers my only issue with this is that people can point fingers at creators for targeting younger audiences like predators. On all honesty, it's predatory behavior in the worst way.
Exactly what I think!
Exactly
There's 2 developments related to this I'm surprised you didn't mention:
The first involves a Vtuber named Marina (a Kraken Vtuber who has...quite the history, to say the least). She actually went live on Twitch with a model that was straight up nude, and actually got hit with a ban (it was one of the first things I saw on the Streamer Bans twitter account this morning). A LOT of people in the VTuber community have called her out for basically risking the whole community with her actions.
The second involves the artist Baalbuddy (this pretty big comic artist), who also got banned. Why is this important? Well, on the stream he was doing before he was banned, he was sketching Michelangelo's David. Which you'd think would be the perfect example of "artistic nudity", but apparently it isn't.
Animal Crossing: New Horizons contains a nude statue. Imagine if they banned that
This Marina makes me angry for some reason.
I remember stumbling over her stream yesterday where she literally maxed, out left, right and center, the hardcor appeal. That she got a ban is not realy surprising. After all twitch does what twitch does best. They reveal rules in a guidline. Rules that are written in a certain way where you have to ask what do they mean. Even when it is clear what they mean, it seems twitch has no idea what they want. So, in a technical sense, i was more surprised that there was not a flood of hardcore material washing through twitch. Unless it is, and i have totaly different stuff in my recommodation.
@@aliasella488the Mannequin Pis is in all the animal crossing games actually
I think vtubers should be banned in general on account of the entire concept being cringe.
It's crazy how much "adult content" can change people, especially kids that are still developing. Imagine UA-cam allowing this to the extent twitch is. Almost every child is on social media in modern times so this being so open on a site that children commonly use is crazy.
This why, even 10-15 years ago when my kids were growing, we had 1 computer in the house for them, in the living room, and we had to see everything they did, no social media besides UA-cam but again they were monitored. I didn’t care what music they listened to within reason, calling omen derogatory words, demeaning them, crime, was off limits. Then when they kids grew, we took them to the police station for them to learn about the dark side.
But I agree
I don't know about you but my ads on yt is weird. Last week they keep shoving me a hentai game ad. Good thing they stop now cuz I don't want to watch that kind of ads whenever I'm watching a horror gameplay or documentary vids..
@@spiritknight5211bruh. I saw one worst. It was an ad to some art app and the ad was a comic style of angelica from rugrats grabbing her fathers crotch. This world is turning predatory, its fuccin scary.
@@lorij3786 That's absolutely horrific that your parents would do that to you. That is abusive and controlling behavior. My parents did the same thing and I had to come to the same conclusion. I hope you don't take that as an example as what to do with your children and continue the cycle. Teenagers will watch porn if they want to. If you make it so that porn is a reward for accomplishing the "not accomplishable" task it will lead to some damaging views about sex in adulthood.
When I was under 18, I would accidentally go on streams that were 18+ rated without knowing it. Like on a raid or something. It was never nudity or anything, just intense cursing or sexual topics. But the fact it would take multiple streams or the streamer mentioning it themselves for me to notice it was 18+ means there was ABSOLUTELY no safeguarding. There was no warning or request to verify your age. So they're literally just making porn freely accessible to kids-- because even if someone sees the 18+ label, doesn't mean they'll regard it. And it certainly doesn't mean that no one who DOESN'T want to see this won't STUMBLE upon it.
I have seen some warnings like "this stream contains graphic content" for some more gory games, but I don't know if that goes with the category or if that's something the streamer sets themselves.
Also, "artistic nudity" is such a vague term! Anything can be argued to be art. Can't the people showing themselves nude just say it's self expression? This is why I don't watch any new streamers nowadays and just my friends...
I'm actually starting to think that's the point. To get kids to see porn and have them traumatised. 100% leading up to trying to get ppl to accept pedophilia. It's sickening. It makes me physically sick.
Twitch: QUICK WE GOTTA SAVE OUR CHECKS, WHAT CAN WE CALL IT??

@@aliasella488idk, dude, UA-cam is supporting criminals and child predators by still giving them a platform. They also allow videos like a man shaving his privates UNCENSORED to remain for anyone of any age to view. I'd say they're running neck and neck.
It’s what they always do with streamers like this they bring in the 💵 rules don’t always apply to them apparently
This simply doesn't apply here. Let's stick to reality. There are only a few big hot tub streamers and they average 1-3k viewers. Plenty of Just Chatting/Gaming streams average 10k, 20k, 30k. I am a female gamer. Like, legit. I tried Twitch for a moment with the hope of a little extra income for doing something I absolutely love. It got weird so fast my head could have popped off. When I play online I am fully aware that most of whom I am playing with are kiddos, chirpers, squeakers, children... So I usually stay silent on the mic because I'm an adult and do not want to deal with it. When a man says, "Hey, how old are you?" I will leave that room. I do not care what mission I am on, or if I am shielding my team... Nope. I am there for the game. I can not deal with all the personal stuff. Can't the artistic nudes game on OF? I could be wrong, but I'm fairly certain I remember a time before 'just chatting' was even a category, that streamers were REQUIRED to be playing a game or they'd get some kind of ban. Then Twitch just ended up making the 'just chatting' category. Then that category just slowly dissolved into the hot tub nonsense, and now we're here. I hope Twitch ends up losing a lot of advertisers.

As a artist myself who keeps SFW and NSFW separated the definition twitch sets makes me a little angry as well as artists that exploit that. Artistic Nudity has nothing to do with any suggestive content. It is simply drawing nude models to learn / practice anatomy, poature, skin folds, shadows, body sections etc.
It has nothing to do with pornographic / sexually suggestive content.
If you want to draw NSFW, that is fine, and picarto for example even has a +18 / adult content section for exactly that.
Why would I want to go on twitch, open it and be jumpscared by thumbnails of clearly sexual content because thats now "artistic nudity"? If you are someone with a mature audience. Use maturity settings. Sure, minors will always find a way but you as a content creator / artist can always work to your best abilities to make the space you create "safe" for your audience.
It is also not that hard to create a separate +18 section for that content and have verification ensuring it stays +18. But hold onto that +13 setting I guess.
It seems like twitch is trying to compete against OnlyFans to me. Frankly, there’s a lot of people to blame for this happening. I blame twitch first and foremost, because they’ve always been super strict about nudity and copyrights and all this other bullshit on there and ban people for literally no reason. Number two I blame the users who go to these women. If there wasn’t people given money to them then these women wouldn’t be doing it. Number three I absolutely blame the women who are on there. They know full well that’s not what this website is for. I get it that certain legislations were passed a few years back where Backpage was erased, preventing sex work. Plus Instagram has been really strict on sex workers and craigslist too. But you can’t just infiltrate spaces where you’re not supposed to be doing your sex work. I guess it’ll be time for twitch to be replaced.
100%
I'd be on Twitch's side if it were labeled as 18+ and was restricted to 18+ accounts.
It's not that I'm against the artistic nude stuff. If artists are aloud to stream the stuff they draw, I think that's fantastic and awesome. It does open the door for more lewd games too, which is fun. But it shouldn't be streamlined to kids and teens.
Kids and teens will find it, yes, and they'll get around it, sure. We all have but that's not an excuse. It needs it's own subsection that's harder to just stumble upon, especially for those same kids with parents that actually do monitor what they do online.
I really do think this could just backfire on Twitch too. I barely go there anyway but me knowing this stuff is just there, it means I'm like never touching this site again, lol.
I respectfully disgree. Kids should be allowed to see artistic nudity. At school (around the age of 10) we werse shown The Human Body 2007 documentary (if you are not familiar the intro includes naked bbodies of doesns of people-from babies, trough kids, teenagers, adults to old people and ALL COMPLETLY NAKED). We were shown this documentary (and simiklar BBC documentaries) like once a year and NOBODY did make a fuss about children seeing naked bodies (just like it is normal to take a child to a nudistic beach...or see a topless owman in every single newspaper). Bodies are bodies and the only thing children schould not be put in front of is sexualizing the bodies but art (painting, dancing...) and documentaries (profesionll or not) should allow children to see naked human bodies (ideally with all their imperfections).
@@wensdyy6466 I'm not talking about shielding the teen's eyes from nudity, I'm talking about pron. If we allow this kind of stuff on Twitch, people will take full advantage knowing there's money to be had. And whom are the people who'll be manipulated the most?
My comment isn't coming from a conservative's mind, it comes from a place of understanding. I don't think it's unreasonable to say teens shouldn't be on cam sites. By proxy, softcore pron should be on that list of no-goes. Hence why I think Twitch should have separated it at the very least.
And in the case of the art section, which do you think should be shown to children? Human anatomy or Zelda getting railed by Ganondorf's 14 inch D? I feel like it's pretty obvious.
There's no way this is legal for a website do to, surely countries will start banning twitch until they revert these changes
I made 2 videos last night talking about just this. This is just irresponsible and so predatory. And what is so special on twitch that other sites don't offer? What does the porn sites not have that twitch does? Minors. Twitch really needs to decide if it wants to go in the adult direction or keep the ''family friendly'' experience. Twitch is not only putting itself at risk, but the content creators as well. We all have seen what happens when a the easily enraged people and news outlets get ahold of this. This is gonna get twisted and its gonna end badly for everyone involved. It's time to pick a side twitch. Also, great vid, love your content.
One site, I don't know which off the top of my head, has ads for "dolphin polishers". I don't know how to describe what they are for the uninitiated in a family-friendly manner.
They're not even trying to hide it anymore.
Meh, in a year they will have the gates figured out better and I bet they will allow Hub stuff. I mean, the user base half expects it at this point and many are already doing Soft stuff, so why not rake in the $?
I think Twitch is beyond saveable at this point, it will always have a negative stigma.
Another example of = If a woman does it, they get slightly punished (if at all) but if a man does it, he'd be in jail.
1:48 thank goodness. This month has been rough with paychecks and I really wanted one of these for my collection!
I read the thumbnail as "twitch now allows autistic nudity" 💀
As an art streamer, this fictional nudity thing is not allowed the way you’re saying. You can show a figure, but cannot show any sexual act or sexual implication. I agree that a lot of the changes are wild, but this is a big win for artists. We could get banned for drawing a figure before with no details if it had something like boobs or a butt, which was way too far.
That makes to much sense, people want negative thoughts about a company (Twitch) way more than agreeing with you. I agree with you
I just went twitch and searched art. It comes up with people drawing hentai. Art my ass.
I agree, vague sketched outlines should not count as nudity.
Mate the whole art section is filled with furry porn and hentai wtf are you on?
@@Cob9-1 thats not what I’m talking about. When an artist draws a body, we have to draw the body itself first. Twitch originally was banning people for drawing the body before we could add clothes
I quit watching twitch a year ago because I have a lot of the same criticisms stated in the video, it's only gotten worse. I made the right decision to quit it, it is a cesspool.
I don't get why they cant just do what reddit does. Normal companies still advertise all over reddit, it just has an NSFW tagging feature that disables ads on specific subs.
We all know that allowing straight up adult content in a public free-for-all website/be blind with moderation is a bad idea, some examples include Wattpad, Webtoon(Which btw you should make a video about Webtoon) and now Twitch
they never said that ffs, so many idiots showing their idiocy
Im barely a minute into the video but i just wanna say that i was about 10 when i made my very first twitch account and even then i saw/heard things no 10 year old should, like its so easy to lie about your age everywhere and tbh i feel like twitch sound just made a whole different site for people 18+ or at least a different section of their current site. It would make things a lot less messy in my opinion :)
Defining "artistic nudity" is like describing 5 colours that dont exist, to a blind person.....
That's it, I'm officially leaving the internet for good. Goodbye everyone.
🖖
That’s just sad for twitch
I wonder if this is going to lead to any lawsuits and/or legislation against twitch.
Literally how..? it's.. it's impossible!
..I take it back.
I opened the art section on twitch out of curiosity if it's really like you described. And my god. It's not just porn drawings, there are more "twerking compilations" than actual art streams, I'm just waiting until they allow goddamn gore for it to become complete anarchy
Honestly I wish that art steams were actually on there
My favorite part of this video is how August is using his discontinued FNAF stream series as the background and will claim he doesn’t know anything about it later 🙃
Twitch had options and yet they somehow chose the only one that’s objectively worse than literally doing nothing about the softcore porn streaming. “Ah yes implied breast shaking is too much but here’s a tag dedicated to hentai and twerking” smh.
I check this out after watching and I found a few of them, bad thing is is that they run so many adds back to back that if you wanted to watch the stream you had to sub to them so you wouldn’t get adds
i thought this was an older video but i just realized that this posted right about the time i got home from school today LOL

So, Twitch is doing a UA-cam? Alright.
Right? It's funny to hear him whinge over Twitch doing this, when... y'know... UA-cam has allowed this to go on for many years. But hey, that's not surprising, and you can't clickbait that.
"If you don't find me attractive, you must be in the wrong"
The entitlement is too much.
Just when I finished watching the "Twitch Has Reached a New Low" video and thought that the situation with twitch was pretty bad, I see on the recommendations a NEW video uploaded a few minutes ago about twitch getting EVEN WORSE. Oh boy let's find out what happened this time
Remember when twitch was for video games
Yeah
Just wait till twitch becomes "Only-twitch"💀
The thing is about the art category, I know of a lot of artists who work while streaming with their commissions and get unfairly banned for something that exists in the front page (the cam girl bs). I am glad that artists have more leeway, especially for me since I am also an artist but the problem is that it's way too much leeway to the point that now hentai exists hilariously, I maybe an 18+ artist but god damn it's gross seeing lewd art on a site that isn't meant for it.
yep, I started art streaming there back in 2017-ish and had frequent asks for pron/henti. I couldn't grow on there UNLESS I did stuff like that so I just left. I just stopped visiting that site all together.
Twitch never fails to fail
Now i'm glad i quit twitch.
Art is no longer a category on twitch you can go to. Crazy that they changed it about 20 minutes after this video was uploaded
Why are we still here? Just to Suffer?
I am now going to stream my last Stream on Twitch and then find another website to use on my Xbox one
We’ve got tons of cam sites/platforms for this content already, so I think the desire to do this on Twitch specifically speaks to the depravity of some of these mfs. They’ve got a target audience in mind.
Target audience = kids with mom/dad's credit card no mom/dad I wasn't watching porn I was on twitch watching Minecraft.......been played by a naked big boobed lady
100%
Twitch is becoming Kick
I went on to the art category and there was literally a how tor tewrk video on their 💀
Yesterday when I went on Twitch, artists were beyond excited to start drawing smut on streams, or play raunchy games.
And today they got banned. They're dropping like flies.
