Jackstand has come a long way in the last couple years. I think a great opportunity was created when Cooper left. He's doing well on his channel, and James has flourished!
He’s the best mechanic personality of any other UA-camr imo. I was also thinking about Cooper and if he’s lost money from leaving the channel, I hope not but still curious! “You’ll get that on these big jobs”!

Cooper has his own channel and why should we or anyone judge him for being ambitious. What if Garrett never left 1320? or even college. Even if it doesn’t work out for coop, good for him for trying. Most of y’all stay stagnant in life where you’re comfortable and comfort doesn’t translate to growth
@@anthonyk11 in all fairness, I subbed to Coop’s channel for a while, I thought I would give him a fair crack of the whip.
But sadly I got really bored quite quickly, so had to bin it. Like many who have featured on this channel, they get the idea to go by themselves, but they can’t carry the attention for long enough. It takes more than an ‘I can do that’ attitude to be a successful UA-cam channel.
I remember the chap who did some of the welding and then set up in a small shop in the same place as Jeremy and Cleetus, he was great when they showed his work on their channels, but got the proper arse when anyone gave him constructive criticism about how he could improve his own channel. He started to talk about the work rather than show the work, which wasn’t why people went to watch his channel.
It’s all horses for courses, some people are better off being a great sidekick and some are suited to making for themselves.
You can’t fault them for trying, but maybe start a slow burner channel first, and get some genuine subs, before you burn the bridge you just crossed, and end up with sod all.
@@steve5x565 Fair enough, it’s not your cup of tea. I on the other hand have subbed since day one and have watched every video. His videos are a little more hands on versus straight entertainment if that makes sense. I mean we don’t really know his potential. Go to any UA-camrs page and switch the list of videos to oldest to newest and watch their content from when they started. They spoke like robots, the filming was terrible but they learned and grew. We can’t just shoot him down when he’s only just begun. I’m not saying he’s guaranteed to be up there with the best UA-camrs but then again who’s to say he can’t? I watch the likes of DDE, Cleetus, Shmee, Streetspeed 717 and more but hell if you watch their first months or years on UA-cam you’ll cringe. You think Shmee had that bubbly voice and character in his early UA-cam years? He grew into that. There’s enough negativity on the web/social media I choose to be positive and I wish nothing but the best for coop. He may well learn and grow and hopefully flourish on UA-cam. I do agree with you about the welding guy though. Bit of a douche. Your attitude, character and personality are very important. I enjoy coopers dad like humour, monotone cadence and docile personality. Hopefully his content will grow over the months and years to come! Appreciate your take though. It’s refreshing to have a civil conversation and even if we agree to disagree I respect your opinion. To each their own as long as they’re not an arse! I never comment on videos but I felt Cooper needed some positivity

I mean, who doesn't wanna hang out with jackstand and friends all day wrenching on new stuff instead of spending 8hrs a day in that shack porting heads. He's a great addition to the crew!

@UA-cam Overlords suck Disagree. Weve all seen this happen on multiple channels and it really strips the beauty from the channel and it just isn’t the same. Like when Brent started posting on PFI and not with Kyle on Boostedboiz, heck even when Coop left it felt like part of this channel died. If they can find a happy medium on pay, I think splitting off hurts everyone more.

I joined this channel during the Ruby debacle, and far as I'm concerned, James is the star of this channel. Goofing off is fine but I'm here to see guys working on their cars, and showing me what they're doing. James is great at teaching and entertaining at the same time, I'm somehow passionately listening about stuff I don't even care about.
I feel like they all play their part and contribute to the channels quality. Coop is a good example of this. He was loved by the people watching this channel. He had 700K views on his first video introducing his solo channel and carried those numbers for a few videos. Now it averages 40k views a video. Meanwhile this channel has consistently gotten 600k-700k views on every video they put out. I don't think that would be possible without the chemistry between everyone that's on screen.

That was a solid 10 second run George made with the mockup shifter, great job George. Also, I want to say thanks to James for showing how to measure for a driveshaft. Watching this channel has got me more interested in building something to race with and I appreciate learning stuff like that even if it seems like something really basic to you all. I would definitely like to see more car mechanic content from everyone including methods and thought processes.

I'm just saying that would be better than rolling with the turd of an engine they have in it now. They could probably throw it together in a couple days have some fun with it and if it blows it blows. I'm sure it would be chump change to them and I think that stuff is honestly more relatable and realistic for the average joe rather than spending 20k plus or probably more I'm sure on a Texas speed setup. I'm sure it'll end up with one someday anyway.
