Yamaha G29 5KW Install.

- We are installing a Navitas 5KW motor with 600Amp Controller and a MJZ-400 Solenoid.
Most G29's run a 4K setup but here we show how to squeeze The BIG 5K motor in the G29.
Note: The 4K and 5K kits wire up exactly the same way.
We also cover the size difference between a Stock Yamaha motorvand the Massive 5K motor.

Nice video. Looking forward to my first AC install. Thank you for sharing
Installed and running great! Thanks for the video!
You saved me a TON of heartache!! Thank u.
Keep the Diode and Resistor!
The Diode prevents the micro-switches in the foot pedal from arcing, and the Resistor keeps the solenoid from arcing internally and getting burned up!
Does a 3” Jakes lift allow enough clearance for the 5kw?
Great video!
What size Jakes lift is needed for this to fit?
If you strip the metal mounting plate just drill a hole a little bigger and put a nut and bolt through 🤘🏼
Great video.
How many bolts are you using to hold the motor to the rear end?
Can you do a video how to replace the brake disks in the trans?
What kind of speed did you get out of it after the conversion?
Awesome you are from Houston!! Watching your videos made me want to build a cart do you have a store I can stop by and get a couple things or is it all online?
So on a 2009 EZ GO RXV I can just throw it out the resistor when upgrading to a Navitas controller?
I have one last cable to re-connect. It's a cable from the B- Controller port. Do I connect it to a "-" Lead Battery post?
Do you need to install the OTF when you can adjust the Settings with the Bluetooth App?
I have a Jakes 6" Long Travel - but I still use the stock rear coils (did not install the HD Coil/Spacer kit) - Do you believe that rear setup will work with the 5KW Motor? Is that what the cart in the video has?
Thanks!
Will this motor fit on a Yamaha G2 golf cart or will I have to drill holes in the housing
I got a 4kw kit with the 600 amp controller, it comes with a 200 amp Solenoid with a max of 600, should I have a 400amp or is that only for the bigger 5kw motor?
What Jake’s rear lift did you put in? Do you have a model number?
Awesome video! It's MZJ though fyi lol
Great video! Any recommendations on batteries for this set up? I was looking at the dakota lithium 48v 96ah battery but they claim it’s only recommended for a controller under 240 amps???
Did you figure out a setup
Thank you!
Does any 5kw navitas motor fit the Yamaha g29? Because every kit I see is for the 4kw.
Ryan I have a Roy pow and the entire conversion and am trying to put this solenoid in and it is t working. Are you running the positive or negative from battery to the solenoid? I have negative off Roy Pow to solenoid and the other side to B+
I have a 2013 ezgo rxv 48v. Im about to upgrade to the navitas 600amp ac controller. Do i need to upgrade my factory solenoid when i do this? Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
Ok, so I just successfully installed the Navitas 5kW motor with NO LIFT. I REPEAT, NO LIFT!
How? Did you have to do any mods? Shock swap?
I can’t find 5kw for a Yamaha G29. Only seeing a 4kw?
I have a six inch lift on my j29. Will the Navitas 5k fit. I don’t know the manufacturer of the lift, but it’s not a jakes. I’m about to order the motor. Thx man great info, much appreciated.
As far as we have seen the Jake’s rear lift is the only rear lift that pushes the shocks back. I would Run the 600/4k much easier and way nasty on a Yamaha
So when is the old resistor cart navitas ac conversion video going down? I have a 91 Hyundai and want to do this but can't think my way through how to convert the accelerator pedal and what harness I will need. Awsome videos man.
We sale a PB-8 pedal box for the resistor carts. Check out our website and look under the Club Car DS

whats the best battery setup for this. I wanted to go lithium but seems like some big names aren't compatible with 600 amp controller
Do you need the Jakes 6 inch lift kit for the 5kw motor to fit? Can it be a G-29 3" JAKES LIFT KIT 6249-3?
Any info on this?
Im running the same setup with the madjax lift. When you say you installed the jakes rear lift kit for it to fit what exactly did you swap out? Just the springs?
The upper goal post. The top half of the lift
Does a 3” Jakes lift allow enough clearance for the 5kw?
Can I run a navitas 440A with a plum quick bandit?
Yes. We have people run that setup all the time
Anyone interested in navitas can help me please?
Ok what size lift are we talking, I have a 6” but not sure what brand, and what’s the performance difference between a 4k and 5k??
Any update on this?
My g29 just stops after driving a couple hundred feet smart charger says batteries are full. What should I replace first?

You can’t go wrong with a Eco 105. We run them with our AC kits all the time
@@GolfCartsModified thanks for the quick response. I looked into it and the 2 options were 75 ah and a 144 ah for the g29.
Installing on my ds this week 💪💪💪💪💪💪💪💪💪💪💪💪💪💪💪💪💪💪💪

how much do all these parts cost? I see a 2013 G29 electric cart on CL for $700, can I get all these mods done for under $2k?
lol 700$ ,maybe the batteries...
You can if you do the work yourself.
U should try a 5KW nose hair pull out lmmfao 😂😂
You never showed how to take the body off or put back on.
The video was running long. It’s actually a very simple task. If you need any help shoot me a email I will walk you through it
@@GolfCartsModified what’s your email? I have a question about lift and motor setup
