- In today's Brutal Episode of Fate/Stay Night: Heaven's Feel we reach the normal ending of the game. Shirou sacrifices his life to destroy the greater grail and in doing so breaking his promise to see the cherry blossoms with Sakura. Despite everything Sakura remembers this promise, and waits for the boy to return to her each spring. To atone for her sins she plants flowers and grows her own cherry blossom garden. Sakura at the end of her old age dies at the same spot Kiritsugu did, thinking of shirou in her last moments.

Easily the saddest moment in the entire Novel for me. Nothing else could compare to it.
I'll make it sadder.
The Shirou CG is the only time we see Shirou genuinely happy.
You absolutely need to see the other ending of this route. You need 2 things to do that: 1. Choose trust Rider in a fight with Saber; 2. make a right choice later on. There is one more requirement but I'm 100% sure you have it. Oh.. and be ready. Ride is not over yet! You'll probably want to make whole episode about the other ending because there is a lot of things you still didn't see. :)
3 Words: Sparks Liner High.
Despite the focus on the tragedy of it, I like that this epilogue also shows Sakura learning to be happy and building up a life on her own. She still misses Shirou and never "gets over" him, but she uses her memories of him to push her to live for herself
I also like the fact even Rin’s kids think she is a grouchy money grubber.
@@lenleon3699 That's just Rin
Sakura: **Huge ass testament expressing the repressed feelings she had for 11 years**
Rin: damn, that's crazy
Hope Cying over Heaven's feel normal ending:
Kirei in his grave: Smiling intensifying.
haha absolutely.
Taiga telling Sakura that she doesn't think Shirou is coming back is one of the saddest moments in all of anime. :(
1:50:10 You, my guy, just found the real one true route. The route to end them all. Check it out again when doing the Dojos and other bonus stuff.
Also i'm glad you did this NormalEnd thinking it was the real one, i and many others think it's for the best to get this one before the TrueEnd of HF.
Yesss.............the best ending.....
Oh man, your pain hurts me all over again
Rin was pretty cool here in the fight against Sakura, I agree. Though it is of course only possible with the Sword Shirou projected. But don't forget the Fate route, where Rin with her own power (well, her jewels) took a life off of Berserker! That's at least as impressive to me, and probably my favorite Rin moment of the VN
She used ten years worth of mana to do it though. Similarly she was forced to use all her jewels to merely match a barely-trying Medea (showcasing how outclassed she was against Medea).
@@lenleon3699 I mean fair, but even then that's still impressive considering Medea is like top 5 casters in the verse in terms of how skilled and knowledgeable she is in magecraft.
@@anusaukko6792 Only in so far that she proved how Medea let her pride bloat her head. She could had done anything from far range without ever touching the ground and Rin would have been effed since Medea can insta-cast.
1:06:55 the first time the boy smiles
PAIN
Woah, feels like the previous ep was jus posted. U are speed
In the scene where Sakura receives the duplicate key from Shirou
She says it's the second time she's received something from someone she cares about.
Yes, the first time was a ribbon from Rin
I'm ready for the tears
41:12 yeah it's probably another similarity of Rin and Shirou.......they aware of how wrong they are,but chooses to stay ignorant about that........Rin IS aware of how talented she is.......and she also never blamed anyone for her mistakes, only herself......she just like Shirou are super clumsy in front of people they like, and since Rin saw Sakura most of the times in archery club where Shirou was she only saw her smiling.........so in a way a conclussion that Sakura is happy and Rin is just a bother might be natural here.....so Rin trying her best not to show herself to Sakura too much and Shinji is probably also played on her sence of guilt towards Sakura...
Rin is just awful when speaking in general though. Remember how she literally ignites Shinji’s attempt to massacre the students (in Fate and UBW) by verbally humiliating him in front of the whole school? She also has a tendency to underestimate mages she thinks are below her level, hence why she can’t even grasp the idea of Shinji being a Master (which Shirou figured quickly and assumed she had an idea) nor that Shirou could have an unique ability regardless of his actual talent at magecraft. This is mentioned by Archer in Fate and UBW, where he tells Saber and Shirou that she has no idea how to properly gauge the power of a mediocre magus, nor teach them.
1:49:32 ok this reaction is priceless😂
I heard the agony in that "ohh"
So, a bit of trivia about Angra Mainyu (the deity, not the poor schmuck forced into the role in FSN) that ties in with Kirei's whole thing - the religion explores the concept of something being born evil.
Zoroastrianism stands with free will being above nature, so they explain the existence of Angra, who was born by evil, by saying that when he learned of what his brother (god of good) was doing, he felt so jealous he tore himself from their mother's womb and tried to corrupt men (which is why his name is the origin of the word "angry", as emotions like that are supposedly caused by him). Because of this, even though he was "born evil", he became evil by willful choice.
Angra Mainyu here is pretty similar. It is the leftover hatred from a guy who was tortured, and it is painted by the emotion and mind of whoever it used to project. Even though it would have been born evil, it would have been due to the effect of nurture on Angra and Sakura.
absolutely fascinating.
54:51 it's the best boy Itachi who said that, who else could said something so wise?
This ending is fantastic. Also I'm sorry if this comes off as rude but your reaction to realizing this was *only the normal ending* at 1:49:20 is great
(Also at the end of the video you actually pressed something secret, I won't say what it is though)
Another banger
1:50:11 is an easter egg, but it may be better to check it out after going through the rest of VN
is it an extension of the tiger dojo or something else? It’s my first time seeing this despite having cleared the game. And also how do you access it?
@@charliebard444 Click above the prolouge button
@@charliebard444 It's apparently a file the translation team found, that wasn't being used in game originally, but they translated and put it above the extra menus. Refers to scrapped Shinji's route, but if you ask what's the point of it, I couldn't tell you if my life depended on it
Is that the Shinji route
You really need to do all the Tiger Dojos and the other endings to UBW and HF. There as some extras that are unlocked after you get them all.
I don;t know if you have watched the opening yet after finishing heavens feel, but if you haven't still don't watch it. It has True Ending spoilers.
Ain't gonna lie, your cries are manly as fk lmaoo xD
Not to brag, but back in UBW, Archer vs Shirou, you said Shirou was up there with your favourite protagonists, and I said that after Heaven's Feel, he would become your favourite.
damnnnn you're right. I actually do remember that comment.
Oh man too bad you didn't get the other ending, we should have give you some hints
Still this ending is good but you could say that the other is more "complete"
He's definitely gonna get the other one too! I like that he got this one first actually, it gives the other one more emotional context
It's best he got this ending first
My inner Kirei is pleased with this video!🤗tho i not a fan of this ending. Not becuase Shirou died, but becuase you can just tell how little detail this ending has it's basically just suffering for the sake of suffering.........nothing more.(Tsukihime remake Ciel's normal ending on the contrary is my favorite and basically what i wanted to see from this ending)
Couldn't disagree more. This ending is so good.
@@r.k845 well if you a fan of tragic endings then i guess🤷♂️.Becuase it has nothing more than that........none of our questions are answered:where is Illya, why Rider dissapeard and why the heck Rin again quit on Sakura?!In my opinion it was her responsibility to take care of her after Shirou could not, becuase it was her decision to spare her in the end........there is a lot more this ending could have been, like Sakura now decited to spare the rest of her life in atoning for her sins and trying to become Hero of justice that Shirou and Kiritsugu wished to be.It could be pretty poetic, but yeah nothing of that......she just waits for Shirou to come for the rest of her life kinda boring AND unrealistic if you ask me.........it just doesn't make sence.
@@user-tp6gz7dp3v It is barebones but judging by all the other endings Rin just did her usual thing, where she has to go to England and take over her proper studies as the heir of Tohsaka. I mentioned elsewhere that she is 100% bound by magi rules, and those rules force her to take over her family’s obligations. She can’t stay and Sakura won’t leave. In UBW she evaded this by dragging Shirou along with her as her apprentice magus. But we can tell she did not ditch her entirely, since Rin’s grandkids were trained by Sakura, meaning they were on good enough terms to be entrusted such a task.
My problem with Rin here is that she could have done this earlier.
Things were moving very fast its true, but this is a harsh situation and Rin embraces harshness, so Im going to judge her harshly here.
The moment she found the worm pit and realized what the Matou family was really about she had all the peices she needed to work out what happened and she could have tried to reach out to Sakura, even in some small way.
If she had just swallowed her pride and shown Sakura even an iota of sympathy earlier this entire thing could have gone very differently, but doing that would have meant abandoning the ways of a magus as taught to her by her father and admiting Tokiomie made a mistake.
And in the end Shirou dies because of this, martyring himself to repair the damage Rin facilitated by just passively remaining aloof and refusing to make any concessions towards her tortured r*ape victim sister in the name of preserving her familys "dignity" or whatever.
Rin's arrogance got Shirou killed. And not just killed, but subjected to an excruciating drawn out death that I wouldn't inflict on my worst enemy.
We dont see much of Rin in the Epilogue here so we will never know, but Rin should have that on her concience, and the possibility that she might not is bitter to me.
And while she does eventualy break down at the 11th hour, 1 muinet to midnight, she still never actually admits that her dad/family was wrong.
While I love Rin she will always be my least favorite of the 3 heroines in this game basicaly because of this.
Not really. I mean it was legit stated if she did infer earlier and she managed to save sakura then the clock tower would have eventually came after both and both would be dead
She does actually state that her father was a fool. If her father didn't send sakura away then the clocktower would have gotten their hands on her and she would probably have been experimented on
@@whateverwhatever4476 I dont really follow how Sakura standing down earlier would have resulted in the clock tower coming for them. Could you elaborate on this? Unless you mean that Rin would have tried to keep the ritual going? I have a hard time seeing that with Avengers iminent birth still happening.
But in either case its irrelevant, the Clock Tower came for Rin regardless and was only stopped by Zeldretch. What would or wouldn't incur the wrath of the clock tower is kind of a moot point here, the end of the world is on the line.
When she called her father a fool I belive that was in her head no? If I recall it was either something she thought or said where only Archer could hear her. That more goes to prove my point, she knew her father was in the wrong but still would not deviate from the persona he drilled into her or admit to Sakura that she knew he was wrong.
@@GrimgoreIronhide this video touches on the topic more then I can. ua-cam.com/video/O8Tw6o5v9-A/v-deo.html
What I mean is that if Rin tried to infer way earlier on and broke the truce between the Matou and Tohsaka by retrieving her it would have lead to a bunch of consequences
@@whateverwhatever4476 I am specifically talking about Rin coming to Sakura after she discovered the worm pit.
It was only then that she had the pieces necessary to put together what actually happened to her.
OMG, he almost saw that secret by accident. You should go back and hit that invisible button last.
I don't think anyone ever said they didn't have sympathy for Sakura. I just said that I thought she was the worst love interest. That she was one-dimensional. I had two feelings toward Sakura. Sympathy and hatred. Sympathy for what she went through and hatred for what she did. I do think she is a well-written character. But she is still the worst out of the five girls. Those being Saber, Rin, Sakura, Illya and Taiga.
It's rarer nowadays, but back then many fsn fans had no sympathy and even hatred for Sakura with the nickname wormslut
Also, when you say "hatred for what she did", what do you refer to?
@@poppiwp4193 Leaving to go see Zouken alone, corrupting Saber and forcing Shirou to kill her, sending Berserker after Illya forcing Shirou to use Archer's arm. All the times the shadow nearly killed Rin due to Sakura's hatred for her causing Shirou to hurt himself saving her, the townspeople she killed, never telling Shirou that Zouken sent her to his house to spy on her till late half way through HF, and the way she lorded power over everyone when she went dark. Plus stuff of the stuff from the bad ends that I won't say here part from "go hold her hand."
@@Twiska Well, I mean no shit. I mean what did you expect her to do when she got all that power she was constantly beaten down and abused for years makes sense she'll act like that. Also pretty sure hope acknowledged all of that
