Brodeur was always my all time favourite goalie, but there's just something about Patrick Roy that just seemed almost not-human. The dude could see/predict the puck like no other. I certainly miss that era of goaltending. When butterfly was taking over, but the old school stand-up style was still visible in the game. Names like Roy, Brodeur, Joseph, Belfour, Hasek, Potvin etc come to mind. Damn that was a good era of hockey.

Roy was overrated. Hasek is better than Roy too. So is Tretiak. I will say, you can make an argument for Roy being top 5 of all time, which is a pretty good achievement.

not even close. Ken Dryden was better, as was Tretiak imo. Roy didnt close a lot of games. He would make mental errors.
