I have loved and followed the Rangers through the good and the bad…the rich years and the lean years. I have watched players come and go…seen some mighty fine young boys become men and become New York Ranger Legends (Bathgate, Giacomin, Gilbert, Ratelle, Hadfield, Howell, Leetch, Richter, Messier, Graves) I’ve seen them all play in my time! And what a thrill it’s been! Henrik is one of those Legends…he ‘s the best of the best and he exudes grace and class both on and off the ice. This was a fitting tribute to a great player and an even greater man. Thank you Henrik for 15 years of excitement…I wish you well in the next chapter of your life! ❤️🎈🥅🏒🇨🇦

I've seen Henrik play since he was in the juniors. When he then started playing in the first team and was lost to us in Sweden I knew that he would get to experience something like this when he retired.Amazing player! One of the best goalies ever..

I had the same surgery he had on my ticker. Honestly don’t know how he was able to even attempt a comeback. That he did is further testament to his love for the game of hockey and his personal fortitude. I wish him the best of health in retirement. May it be a long one.

Many thanks. I have meet Henrik, or "Henke" as we call him here in Gothenburg, Sweden. I have seen him play in Frölunda live in the arena Scandinavium. And he played om Scandinavium with Rangers against Frölunda. He is just amazing as a person and as a goalie. I will always miss him in the net. The greatest ever in hockey.

His kids look so proud. I have about 10 people who regularly praise my Dad for all the hard work and effort he put in because i work in the same company he used to. I feel so proud whenever they talk about him, and want to live up to what he did. I can't imagine how proud and emotional his kids must be, knowing that the world loves and respects their dad. Seeing people you love and respect get the love and respect you know they deserve from others is one of the best feelings.

was at the viewing party in the hulu theater for this. wish i was in the stands but i was like somehow, i will be in the building when his number is raised. such an emotional and unforgettable night, thank you hank for all youve done for the rangers and being a part of how i got into hockey.
I had Ranger season tickets for his career. Watching him play and compete night after night was a privilege. I am so grateful to witness greatness. His compete level and determination to win was inspiring. All I can say is thank you HENRIK!!!! Memories I'll never ever forget. Greatness, Intensity, and Class are a few words that come to mind. It was an absolute privilege to walk into this building night after night for years knowing that we were witnessing greatness.

I am from sweden and my team is färjestad and we hate his old team frölunda. But when his brother played his last game against us everyone applauded because he is amazing as a person. Henrik is also an amazing person!
What a great night this was. I was in attendance (camera shows me at 47:11, I'm the one in the white Rangers jersey on the right with the turtleneck). Sucks they lost but it was totally worth sticking out a snowstorm to honor the greatest goalie I got to watch play as a fan. #LGR

KUNGEN! I miss 2000-2010 era, sweden managed to take Olympic gold and world cup the same year, henrik wasnt part of the world cup one though i think.. Still, little Sweden manage to do something no other country has done in icehockey. That was prime icehockey for me!
You can see how much the equipment staff means and trainers mean to players. Henrik got so emotional when he came out to greet him.
That's the stuff the fans don't see but they really are like family with how much they travel and train together. A very well deserved honoring!
It just speaks to how much of a class act Hank is, as most of if not all hockey players are.

Well, athletes are in better shape to start with. It's not impossible to fully recover and make a comeback.

Really appreciating this upload. UA-cam might not like it but people out there uploading stuff against UA-cams will for better or worse regardless ;) Too many to fight at once giving people like us the sweeter pleasure :P I could've watch it on TV but I don't have the channel in my current subscription but I knew sooner or later I will watch at least the highlights on here... But I got to see the full thing on the first check :)

I am from sweden and my team is färjestad and we hate his old team frölunda. But when his brother played his last game against us everyone applauded because he is amazing as a person. Henrik is also an amazing person!

What a great night this was. I was in attendance (camera shows me at 47:11, I'm the one in the white Rangers jersey on the right with the turtleneck). Sucks they lost but it was totally worth sticking out a snowstorm to honor the greatest goalie I got to watch play as a fan. #LGR

KUNGEN! I miss 2000-2010 era, sweden managed to take Olympic gold and world cup the same year, henrik wasnt part of the world cup one though i think.. Still, little Sweden manage to do something no other country has done in icehockey. That was prime icehockey for me!
