Very good silicon video
Thank you, I hope it gave you a few tips 👍
I might have continued to cauk the front of the tub, at the top to the floor. Appears to be a gap there also .... That was a great job sir and informative. Thank you 👍
Thank you for your comment, appreciate it.
Excellent
Thank you so much 😀 Appreciate you taking time out to watch and write a comment
Result looks nice
Thank you, patience and attention to detail is definitely key to getting a good finish.
Appreciate you taking time out to comment.
Nice job. Done mine about 10 year ago. Plastic goes a little yellow over time. Got little end caps too but can’t remember from where.
Thank You!
Like yours, if done right from the start, it will last years, thanks for taking time out to comment
Probably important to see if the bath has dropped causing the gap between tile and bath. It could be poorly fitted. You could have a leak and rotting floorboards.
Yes, always good to check these things .
On this one there was no evidence of a rotten floor or loose support legs.
Brilliant job . Youve given me a solution to a problem similar to the demo youve shown us. Liked & Subbed . 🪚🔧🔨😊
Glad to hear it has helped you, take your time with it and you’ll get a great finish
Mind the gap!! Thank you. We’re redo8ng a 1969 mobile home in San Diego California
Sounds amazing! Wouldn’t mind seeing some photos
Looks good, but won't last and will attract mould. Better to raise the [badly fitted] bath until it's tight to the tiles, and then use a small amount of sealant. Just remember to check the pipework to ensure no leaks present after making height adjustments.
It’s antibacterial and anti mould silicone, the amount of money it would of cost the client to higher the bath, alter all the pipework and to relocate the shower screen higher would of been much much more, this was the better option in the end (in my opinion as the client mentioned they were replacing the bathroom in a few years time) but appreciate your comment.
When you caulk the corners to you go top to bottom or bottom to top?
Usually top to bottom but either will do as long as you get a good finish
Damn! 😳You could put some 1/4 round in that gap!
It was a big one! 🤣
Could you higher the bath slightly
Thanks for your comment Ruth, in theory you probably could but then it would mean taking off the shower screen and repositioning it, altering the pipework to the taps and altering the pipework to the waste pipe.
This would of cost the homeowner a lot of money to do that so this option on the video seems the best option in my opinion.
Dude haven't you heard of backer rod to fill that gap then silicone over it
I’ve not heard of that buddy, what is it exactly?
Just looked it up, good idea for some applications but I think the quadrant trim was a better option for this job.
Thanks for your comment 👍
Backer rod does not help in this chase ..the edge of the bath to small and there is just a hollow space so that backer rod will fall on the ground...i just went out and bought an aluminium trim glued it with the correct glue and i Silicon it al around...every 2- 3 years i cut it and do it again to keep it as new
