THE PERFECT CARAMEL BARS ( No Butter ) | Fudgy and Chewy

INGREDIENTS:
2 cups All Purpose Flour
3/4 cup Light Brown Sugar
1 cup Powdered Milk
6 eggyolks, large
1 cup Canola Oil
1 can Condensed Milk ( 380 g )
1 cup crushed cashew nuts
1 tsp. vanilla extract
1/4 tsp. salt
Oven used: Regular Conventional Gas Oven, adjust your temperature and baking time if using Convection or Electric Oven so it will not burn
Baking Temperature : 180 'C or 350 ' F
Baking Time : 45 - 50 minutes or until sides become golden brown
Baking Pan : 9 x 13 inches Jelly roll pan
Yield: 24 bars approx. 2 inches by 2 inches in size
I hope you get to try this recipe , it comes as near perfect like the ones at Max's :-D The mixture prior to baking is really sticky, heavy and gooey so you need to get those corners of the pan really filled and levelled otherwise that part will be baked quickly & get darker in color.
*DIFFERENT OVENS VARY IN TEMPERATURE SO PLEASE ADJUST ACCORDINGLY

Thanks for your nice comment :-D Milk powder is one of the key ingredients in this recipe - it sure affects the outcome of the final product
@@yeyetbakes You're welcome. As for the milk powder, how is the final result affected? Does it make it more tender or moist? Or is it for flavor? Also, is it whole milk powder, or lowfat milk powder? I ask because I have both and want to make sure I use the right one.
@@theraweggfiles I haven't made this recipe without the milk powder so i couldn't tell you the difference; but for me i'm satisfied with how the caramel bars turned out in this case. I just used full cream milk powder

Can I use an improvised oven po?.. Sa kawali.. Like sa ube cheese pandesal and fudgy brownies..

Nice and good recipe but I would prefer butter than oil for health reason.
May effect po ba sa consistency whether oil or butter yung gagamitin?
Hi, in this recipe i tried it with butter pero cakey yung texture but with canola oil it was chewy which i preferred but still you can use whichever works for you😊

Hello may I ask po kung top and bottom heat po ba to sa oven? Tried doing it with top and bottom heat on and medyo brown po yung kinalabasan not like yours.

Hello, it should be fudgy after cooling completely. If not, underbaked pa po sya. Pls do the toothpick test. I haven't tried via oven toaster po
