I started a Body Pump class at 64 years old. There was a woman in the class that looked amazing. I introduced myself and asked how long she had been doing Body Pump. I then asked how old she was. She was 69 and looked AMAZING!! I was in! I have to say I was in the best shape of my life at 64 because of the Body Pump class. I tried to go five days a week. Amazing results if you stick with it. It becomes addictive.
Appreciate you sharing this as I just found this style of weight training and I think it’s good for me. I was always in great shape. I am now 66 and for over the last few years. I have not gone to the gym at all so I’ve lost my muscle mass.
Good for you!! This is so true, I'm starting to workout again, at 41 years now, this is one of my favorite type of workout. At a few weeks in, the results are so satisfying... more power in doing everyday tasks, more energized, amazing... love this. And best part is, the women in my class cheers me up when they see i can lift a bit heavier (just a couple of pounds heavier actually 😂), it feels so good.
Seeing them sweat as they lead the class makes me feel REALLY good considering I was soaked in my living room this morning. I have been lifting more recently, and throwing this in there on a “meh” day - wow. Makes me realize I need a little more conditioning. Have always loved Les Mills classes. Thank you for making this one accessible and keeping it here for us!!
I've been doing this 3-4 times a week for the last two months and thoroughly enjoying it. I use a pair of 10kg dumbbells for everything as that’s all I have at home (so a bit heavier than those used in the class) and I’m really noticing my body tone up.

I really like this workout. I’m 8 weeks new into barbell workouts. This workout for me is epic and hard but every time I do it I notice I’m improving :)
I just finished this workout for the first time in a class of about 35 people. I was one of maybe 4 males. I met the instructor before the class started and she set all my gear up in a discreet spot in the back. Knowing I was shy I showed up at the start time and she said come on in don't chicken out…which I actually was trying to make excuses to cancel! Lol 😂 Anyhow, it was super fun and my legs feel like jelly. I can see myself doing this 2-3 times a week now.
First video of yours that i watch ( I didn't know your channel), and I understood why I liked it so much: because of the dynamic camera recording! The cameras are not showing the same angle all the time (as it usually happens for workout videos)...This was the secret, and helped me staying very active and dynamic all the time! I tried this for the first time a few days ago. I have been going to the gym consistently doing cardio and some machines for about 5 months and this 1 class has me ACHING like no other. Definitely a great workout. I'm going to go once a week only for now though because it's taking me forever to recover 😅
Did these regularly (at least twice/week) for 8 years and got in super shape in my fifties, before a meniscus tear in my right knee while dancing to Bruno Mars😉 halted squats and lunges. Great effective workout program!

you probably have a severe collagene deficiency if you got a tear from mere dancing. Make sure to eat more ground beef, and supplement with beef collagene along with some vitamin C (I personally take 5g of collagene + 1g of vitamin C daily).

Love this ! I can get my whole body done anywhere that my phone service works. I also love that Kayla is using plates while he is using bar, and that she is showing modifications also...for those who don't have bar and or need some mechanics modifications. It was intense but I'm pumped in 30 min!

dumbbells are the way to go! Its easier on the wrist

Love this! I always loved bodypump but was not motivated enough anymore to go to the gym. Now I can do it at home, makes me feel less insecure!

YMCA does this class and it's amazing! If i ever didn't have the YMCA i'd def buy this membership + get some weights and keep it up at home.
