Your color choices for this block are beautiful! I’ve been on this quilting journey since 1979 when we did everything - and I do mean everything - by hand including making our own templates. Technology has made everything so much easier and quicker but sometimes I do use my original teachings as so,e if the things I learned way back when are not taught anymore - which is kind of a shame as some are still perfect for beginners to help them with a problem/situation!

You make me giggle Tammi! I would not own 2 machines for different reasons! But I say go, girl, if it makes sense to you! Keep 'em coming Tammi😊

Good Afternoon Tammi! I now see the benefit of the Scan & Cut. Where before it was a lot of steps for the first comparison you did on the 2 machines. I see it good for appliqué in working with AccuQuilt. 🥰 Got to think outside the box sometimes. ❤😊

Hey Tammy my friend 🥰. I love the Scan N Cut for appliqué cutting. I’ve gotten a little crazy with cutting little details & ironing onto a quilt block. I’ll do a video on that one day😉. Enjoy your family. I’ll see you in the next video 🥰😘

Hi Sandy 😊. Technology is a wonderful gift. But I agree with you some of the tried and true quilting skills are being lost as beginners enter the craft. I’m going to be starting a community for quilters. I hope you join so you can share some of the skills with us/I mean me 😂😂. I’ll see you in the next video

I own both the Brother Scan n Cut and the AccuQuilt Go, I also have a Studio cutter. I use the AccuQuilt to cut my quilting pieces and the Scan n Cut to cut my appliqués pieces. They are the perfect combination. Yes, the AccuQuilt is an expensive, I bought mine before the prices went up on them. My Scan n Cut isn't the most expensive one or the latest one out there but works great for me. I have arthritis in my fingers and both machines make it so I can continue to do what I love which is to quilt. I got the Studio Cutter and the Studio dies at a yard sale for a fraction of the price of what I would have paid on the website. BTW, I will be 73 next month. Your never to old to learn new things. Great Video Tammi!

Hi Phyllis😊. These two are absolutely a dynamic duo! I’m so glad you had the resources to push through arthritis pain and continue quilting using these tools! Congratulations on your upcoming 73 birthday 🎉! I’m so glad you’re here and that we can share our love for AccuQuilt & Scan N Cut together. I’ll see you in the next video 😊👋🏽

❤ don’t have the Scan and Cut but can see it’s uses. Great demonstration. If I was younger (and richer 😎) I think I would invest in one.

I thought long and hard about the Scan n Cut machine but decided I could live without it. Accuquilt does have many appliqué dies but I have no problem with making my own appliqué templates (many different ways to do this) - I just love technology though and maybe I’ll look at this machine again when I go to an AQS show this coming Fall in Lancaster, PA😁😁😁

Hi Sandy. The Scan N Cut is the cherry on top you don’t necessarily need. If you’re good with using templates do that. I’d say spend the money on fabric 😂😂. Thanks for commenting. I appreciate you 😘

So - I am now amazed once again with the Scan n Cut!!! Could you move that box with the appliqué shape over and then down and cut 4 of this shape at one time? The fabric square looks like it has enough room to do so. I’m off to go to the Brother website!!!
