Stevie Nicks is the first concert I went to. There’s always a bit of difference between the studio recording and live performance. She’s just awesome. Loved her with Fleetwood Mac as well! Love her voice.

One of my favorite female vocalists!! And, she is HOT!! 🔥🔥 When I was in High School all the gals wanted to be Stevie Nicks! Yep .. all the guys wished we did, too! 😂 Stevie starred in the pop series American Horror Story: The Coven! Thank you for the reaction!!

This live performance was the b-side of the single of the studio version. It was the only version I played. And I'm heading out today, April 22 to buy it for record store day 2023.

The beautiful black woman on percussion is Bobbi Hall. The dark haired back up singer is Sharon Celani, who is still with her. The other singer is her sister in law married to her brother Christopher Nicks.

There are a few female artists that achieved legend status, Stevie Nicks is one of them, Alanis Morissette, Ann Wilson, Dolores and maybe a few others.
This is such an epic song btw. I keep enjoying your reactions, great job 👏🏻

Regarding the music video, remember that MTV hadn't launched yet when this was released in 1981. That would happen a few months later. Music videos as we know them, weren't common yet .

Stevie dated a lot of guys lol
This is my favorite version of this song. The concert was filmed on the last night of her first solo tour, and she had to immediately head back to Fleetwood Mac. Her background singers are Sharon Celani and Lori Perry Nicks (Lori married her brother, I believe). Waddy Wachtel was on guitar, who she's known since college and still plays with her. Bob Glaub on bass, Russ Kunkel on drums, Roy Bittan on piano, Benmont Tench on organ, and the percussionist was Bobbye Hall. That whole concert was amazing!
I bet School Of Rock will hit different now, it really does make a difference when you know the music and the stories, the rumors, the inside jokes.
If you wanna go down the hole, (omg there's so many songs) Leather And Lace (with Don Henley), Stop Draggin' My Heart Around (with Tom Petty), Nightbird, I Sing For The Things, Stand Back, I Can't Wait, Beauty And The Beast, Rock A Little, Rooms On Fire, Talk To Me, Whenever I Call You Friend (with Kenny Loggins), Sorcerer, Planets Of The Universe, Love Is, Moonlight (A Vampire's Dream), Secret Love, and New Orleans. That should give you somewhere to start.

Lindsey Lohan went public and said she wanted to play Stevie in a movie, when she heard this she was not happy. The band has always refused to do a movie so far. Stevie and the lead guitarist of Fleetwood Mac, Lindsey Buckingham, were a couple and music duo before joining Mac in 75. They broke up shortly after, she also had a secret affair with the drummer Mick Fleetwood.
Her duet with Tom Petty Stop Draggin My Heart Around is a rock classic, and Stand Back music video from 1983 (Prince plays keyboards on the track) are two more of her big solo hits. Thanks for the reaction

3 movies that are not just superfab and funny, but, really accurate of the music of that time. Those of us who lived the music scene know this to be truth. 1. Almost Famous 2. Fast Times At Ridgemont High 3. Rock Star I lived through each one. The music the scene all truth and really how it was. Great Reaction! If you have not, Fleetwood Mac "The Midnight Special Live 1976" tune "Rhiannon" It is a historical performance. I was 10 yrs old in 1976 and, the music was intoxicating to the senses. The variety from "Disco to Rock" it all blended. Anyways, that night was our first intro to "Stevie Nicks & Lindsey Buckingham" in the band. I have been very remiss in only giving "Stevie" mention in this performance. Lindsey Buckingham also, rocks the house! Peace On Ya PS: Stevie Nicks has several "Duo"s" You would probably really enjoy. start with, "Stop Dragging My heart Around"

Great job! There is so much about Stevie that I'm sure you'll research and learn. She is a great singer and was great to see live but, if you go down the rabbit hole of her personal story it's somewhat surprising.

I've been listening to this song for 40 years and don't know all the lyrics! "Leather and Lace" with Don Henley (Eagles) and "Stop Draggin' My Heart Around" with Tom Petty are highly recommended. 🙂❤

if you delve into Stevie-it is a drama. She was with Lindsey, they broke up and I think she slept with Mick Fleetwood. There are live performances of songs that Stevie and Lindsey are throwing eye daggers at each other..... You might want to check out "Silver Spring" as it was inspired by Silver Springs Maryland

Stevie was talking with Tom Pettys wife and asked her how old they were when they met. She said ‘’At the age of seventeen’’. Stevie thought she said at the ‘’edge’’ of seventeen. That’s where the title came from.

Her first album was before the band as a duo with Lindsay Buckingham called "Buckingham Nicks" BUT please check out her 2020 single "Show Them The Way" it'll blow your mind, my friend.
