Fantastic! Is it any wonder why Stevie Nicks is the first and only woman inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame twice? She is definitely the Queen of Rock!
Stevie at her peak! A #1 album, massive record sales, the vocalsss, the stage presence, the band, the music, and the raw emotion. She had so much personal turmoil going on in her private life with her best friend dying of leukemia, the awkwardness from other Fleetwood Mac members dealing with her solo success, and of course the increased drug use. Despite all of this she managed to juggle Fleetwood Mac and her solo career and be one of the top rock stars of the era.
Plus with this particular performance, this was the last show of the "Bella Donna" tour and the rest of Fleetwood Mac had been calling her from Paris the entire tour basically ordering her to drop the solo tour and get to Paris to record Fleetwood Mac's 82 album "Mirage"
Towards the end of the song she mentions I hear the call of a NIGHTBIRD....NIGHTBIRD being the reference to the Owl. In her second solo album The Wild Heart....Stevie Nicks sings a song called NIGHTBIRD. In that song she references the White Winged Dove...pretty damn interesting if you ask me.
I was lucky enough to see Fleetwood Mac back in 2003 when they reunited the first time I'll never forget it because they were SO amazing and the next night at work I fell and broke my back😢So ya that concert is well etched in my mind😂💕💕
Being about the same age as Stevie this Stevie wonder's how we are still here we burned the candle from both ends but we have survived to tell the story's good to see Mick Fleetwood look alike on drums .Love and Peace.
Such a good reaction to an amazing song sung by an Icon. Now you need to do "Stand Back". You will have a synthgasam for sure plus the story about how it was written with Prince and he actually played on the recording. He soon after asked for her help on a song he was writing but she sent it back to him and said she did not want to touch it because it was so complex. Prince finished arranging "Purple Rain" on his own. So iconic!!
I think this might be everyone's favorite Stevie solo song. If you've ever watched School of Rock with Jack Black there is a hilarious scene where he takes the principal (Joan Cusack) to a bar and Jack puts this song on for her and it is so fricken funny😂😂
Stevie's sister-in-law "Lori Nicks" sings back up for her as well as Sharon Celani. Stevie gives them tons of credit, they are a match made in heaven.

Very interesting! I thought they looked Alike the 1st time i saw her (the s-i-L) I'm old-school Stevie/FM & i never knew that ..til now so thanx for that info! I thought maybe they "chose" a sort of "look alike" for extra measure! I saw them (1st time) in 1977 wen i WZ on the edge of 17 (turned 17 on Sept 10, 1977 .saw the concert 17 days later on Sept 27, 1977! The next night i almost died in a motorcycle accident so i think all these 1st major hits songs are SO important in my life up to & after the concert. My friend didn't survive the accident unfortunately but he saved us from being robbed! (I'm a jersey girl & i was a tough little jersey girl) lol friends always said i looked like her & wen i see these younger vids i can see it now! Only 40+ yrs later SHE is WAY more beautiful now, as a grown Rockin 60-70s woman..she entranced you in every performance..you just couldn't take your eyes off her!! 🙏🏻❤🎶🎸
I wish you could have seen her live in concert you would have experienced a true rock star l was lucky to see her twice the best undoubtedly. BTW l like your comments.
Stevie Nicks is untouchable.... Her 24 Karat Gold Concert movie was awesome. Waddy been with her a long time. Putting this in Stevie Nicks Addicts on Facebook..
My favorite lady is singing one of the songs I love. She's so awesome! I'm 75 years old and never get tired of listening to her music. I play her greatest hits CD in my car. Love you Stevie! ❤❤❤
The one and only. Stevie is unique in both her voice and performance. Try "Landslide" live. Also, if you want to hear that guitar intro taken to the limit, have a look at this song live in Chicago. Then go back to "Rhiannon" live in 1976, that was Stevie at her best.
Her guitarist is Waddy. He still tours with her to this day. He's actually a pretty legendary studio player. If you look up the songs he's played on, I think you'd be surprised by how many memorable guitar riffs came from him.
Yes! My Fav for 40 years! So glad you did this live version 😁 Stand Back, Stop Draggin’ My Heart Around (with Tom Petty), Leather And Lace, Whenever I Call You Friend (with Kenny Loggins), all great songs from her solo career❤️
The gift thing she does at all her concerts, she ends with this song and while the band plays it out she shakes hands with and takes gifts from the audience. One concert I was at in the late 90s this went on for like 10 minutes lol
Yes dude, Sisters Of The Moon, the live version from The Mirage Tour is killer... If you don't do anything else, you must do a reaction, I want your breakdown of that performance, I subscribe
Stevie Nicks still has the same guitarist (Waddy Wadell) and backing vocal singers today that she used back in 1982 on this tour! And even approaching 70 years of age still kills it on stage! There is a reason she is considered the Goddess of Rock n Roll!
She was a superstar long before this was released. Fleetwood Mac had a decade of success behind them, 'Rumours' and 'Tusk' placed them at the very top by the late seventies. But I was blown away when I heard this, it seemed like she had all of these extreme vocal places she had wanted to get to, and ideas that had been percolating for years, ( the call and response, the deep menacing tones, stacking up harmonies, using short, punchy phrases, etc.) I think she must have just decided, f#*#ck it, I am going to do it all in one song, haha!! Amazing.
It was also because the rest of Fleetwood Mac were calling her constantly from Paris the entire time she was on her tour, hounding her to get to Paris to record 'Mirage"
That awesome guitar is Waddy Wachtel...it's the worst name in the business, but no one mentions him. Awesome player. So glad you actually gave him a call out!
This was at the Forum in LA, last show of the Bella Donna tour supporting her first solo album (which the rest of Fleetwood Mac were not thrilled about). Her good friend Robin died, so she was still grieving. She cut this tour short because she had to get back to FM to record Mirage.
No, the accent was from Tom Pettys wife...when she told Stevie she had met Tom at the AGE of 17.... but her accent was so strong that Stevie heard EDGE of 17.
A Stevie is a very emotional performer, soulful. I've seen her solo and the Mac live more than once each. She is a great dancer. She used to practice ballet for exercise. You wanna see a trip. She does the Charleston in 9 inch platform boots for part of the song Angel, live in St Louis from 1979. It's Fleetwood Mac of course. It was two years before her first solo album.
I really like the fact that you do research on the song and artist. So many reacters react to the song, make a bunch of incorrect assumptions during the reaction, ask a bunch of questions that they expect the views to then answer for them, and completely miss the important parts often of what they just watched. You really add alot to your reaction by giving the view the background info on what we've seen. Way to go. Really good and please keep it up.
Great that you recognised what a mammoth feat is was by guitarist Waddy Wachtel to keep that iconic riff going through the whole song .. Waddy commented that on some live performances, he had to do it for over 5 minutes before Stevie even started singing ! .. He had to practice it, building up the required endurance, whenever he knew he was going to be playing it .. Good pick-up, Dereck 👍👍👍
Not on the subject.. but I'd like to see you do the band Missing Persons, Walking In LA, Menatal Hopscotch, Words and there's others.. Thanks for the fun vids!!
Very interesting story behind this song. It actually was inspired by the death of John Lennon and the death of her uncle. The two overlapped and inspired the song. If you have a chance read Stevie’s own liner notes about recording this. It’s very moving. She’s such a monster talent. I have seen her live several times and she never fails to blow me away. Wonderful reaction with this!! May I suggest “Stand Back”? A personal favorite of mine by Stevie! P.S.- just finished watching the video so you already know this!!
I think that might have been Mick Fleetwood himself on the drums. I actually own both the Bella Donna and Street Angel albums and they are really fabulous! Which reminds me...that you should check out her duet Leather and Lace because it's really beautiful!
Dude u need to go Stevie's solo tour.. she's the true queen of rock.writes her own music too. Sad today's female artist that get all the attention can't even compare. Beyonce etc ..
I love your analysis of songs. I just started watching you and what caught my eye was this song... one of my favorites by her! The ONLY criticism I have is please listen to the songs longer without breaking in so much, it breaks the spell too much. Otherwise I love your insights and observations! ❤️
Also to add Stevie was deeply emotional due to the reasons of writing about the deaths of her uncle and John Lennon and over the fact that her solo career would be short lived and that she had to return back to Fleetwood Mac for The Mirage album...
Why in the hell would you find the need to mention that? Except for age, she would be giving this energy today. She has been away from the drugs a long time and has been so honest about everything. Why would you give her a back slap compliment?
It was Tom Petty's wife who had the strong southern accent. Stevie Nicks is from Phoenix, Arizona and doesn't have a southern accent... Although she started singing country music with her Grandfather when she was just 5 years old.
And young people wonder why we don’t like the music today! If you want to hear a great song by Stevie listen to Nothing Ever Changes. It’s a song that doesn’t get much play but I’m positive you’ll love it. It rocks 🙂. Sable on Blond is another great one!
I love Stevie SO MUCH,So, this isn't a disrespectful comment toward her AT ALL! But, this video was stopped so many times it was absolutely redic, to merely say "she's SO into it! She can't stay still!" I don't disagree, she's definitely into it. She's a consummate professional interpretive dancer and emotional performer. However, I'm pretty into my music, and found it rather difficult to stay still, whenever I was getting ROCKED on cocaine too...So, I guess I just saying, with all the skips ahead, and pauses, to make a statement more than twice, is incredibly unnecessary. This is,for the record, not "hateful" I hate no one. I usually LOVE your reactions. This seemed, however, quite rushed, and therefore highlights a certain ingenuity to your reaction, which I'm sure wasn't at all, your intention. And, if I picked up on it. I'm certain others did. And, as a viewer of the material you exhibit, I feel it would be quite a disservice to you, to not let you know. Sort of like, you wouldn't let a friend walk around the grocery store, with a tear down the back of their pants..? XOXO 💕 Fleetwood Mac's studio recording of Stevie's song, "Silver Springs" (that was eventually removed from the 1977 Rumours album, would be a great reaction video. And I have yet to see ANYONE do it. Be first! It's an amazing recording, and it was/is a real shame that so many people toss it in the "not good enough" clearance bin...😁
If you can find her song “ It’s A Bitch”, please play it. It is my anthem song!! Highway Man All That Glitters Is Gold These are just a couple of her great solo hits!!
Fantastic! Is it any wonder why Stevie Nicks is the first and only woman inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame twice? She is definitely the Queen of Rock!

Fleetwood Mac - Sisters of the Moon live 1982 - must watch!
total exorcism!!! definitely needs Derek's take.
Yesss!!!
Stevie puts emotion in every song, that’s what makes her great. Her speaking voice sounds the same.
Her freakin back up singers are killer!
I was lucky enough to see Fleetwood Mac back in 2003 when they reunited the first time I'll never forget it because they were SO amazing and the next night at work I fell and broke my back😢So ya that concert is well etched in my mind😂💕💕
The guitar riff was sampled on destinys child’s “Bootylicious” now you have to react to “Stand Back”
I was about to say that 🤣
Being about the same age as Stevie this Stevie wonder's how we are still here we burned the candle from both ends but we have survived to tell the story's good to see Mick Fleetwood look alike on drums .Love and Peace.

Stevie's sister-in-law "Lori Nicks" sings back up for her as well as Sharon Celani. Stevie gives them tons of credit, they are a match made in heaven.

Yup that's Waddy - also Russ Kunkel on drums. I feel so lucky to have grown up listening to her.
Iv been looking for video
Love Stevie! She still sounds just as amazing !
I wish you could have seen her live in concert you would have experienced a true rock star l was lucky to see her twice the best undoubtedly. BTW l like your comments.
This song, like many Steve Nicks songs, simply get better with age! What a rare thing for a song to do. So good.
I saw Stevie in concert in the early 80s and believe me - she's rolling hard.
You wanna see her go there check out sisters of the moon live!
Excellent song!! Love Stevie!! I love a remix of this song from my Ecstasy days & blowing TF up from this song!! Ah memories.... Thanks Dereck!!

Waddy was a friend of hers and Lindsey back before they were famous.
Tony Baker I was going to make nearly the same comment about Waddy. He's been laying down riffs on some great ones over the years.
He also played with Linda Ronstadt among many others! The guitar riff on her song "Tumbling Dice"? That's Waddy playing it
this song, the live version, the official video, your reaction ❣️👌 STEVIE 4EVER
Yes! My Fav for 40 years! So glad you did this live version 😁 Stand Back, Stop Draggin’ My Heart Around (with Tom Petty), Leather And Lace, Whenever I Call You Friend (with Kenny Loggins), all great songs from her solo career❤️
I adore this woman. And every reaction ive seen everyone is always mesmerised by her
My daughter and I saw a live performance of this on youtube and you could FEEL her pain, it was amazing. She made us cry.
The gift thing she does at all her concerts, she ends with this song and while the band plays it out she shakes hands with and takes gifts from the audience. One concert I was at in the late 90s this went on for like 10 minutes lol
I shook her hand, stage front on Rock a Little Tour....such a dream lol
Yes dude, Sisters Of The Moon, the live version from The Mirage Tour is killer... If you don't do anything else, you must do a reaction, I want your breakdown of that performance, I subscribe
Finally you reacted to this❤️

It was also the last night of her solo tour and she was sad it was ending.
It was also because the rest of Fleetwood Mac were calling her constantly from Paris the entire time she was on her tour, hounding her to get to Paris to record 'Mirage"
This song is legendary!
That awesome guitar is Waddy Wachtel...it's the worst name in the business, but no one mentions him. Awesome player. So glad you actually gave him a call out!
Saw her in OKC a few years back. She's still got it!
If you can't feel the Stevie wail, you might not be alive.
Dereck would love to see you review her song "I Can't Wait"!!!
Stevie Nicks has end every one of her concerts with this performance and I’m telling you from experience, it is truly spine tingling.
This was at the Forum in LA, last show of the Bella Donna tour supporting her first solo album (which the rest of Fleetwood Mac were not thrilled about). Her good friend Robin died, so she was still grieving. She cut this tour short because she had to get back to FM to record Mirage.
COKE is a helluva drug...I love her and this video/show is like the holy grail for Stevie Nicks fanatics...
“Go Your Own Way” Stevie on steroids!
No, the accent was from Tom Pettys wife...when she told Stevie she had met Tom at the AGE of 17.... but her accent was so strong that Stevie heard EDGE of 17.
React to Fleetwood Mac Angle Live ! she dances 💃 in that one great vocal performance .
Stevie is my Rock queen. As for Fleetwood Mac all talent and pure raw performance. We know longer see bands like yesterday's.
Love Stevie Nicks best
This live version is badass.
A Stevie is a very emotional performer, soulful. I've seen her solo and the Mac live more than once each. She is a great dancer. She used to practice ballet for exercise. You wanna see a trip. Stay by Shakespears sister, if you like a poweful voice.
LOVE that long-forgotten song!!

Beautiful voice, thanks.
---------- ha ha ha ------ they were having a GOOD TIME ------- !!!!!
That's right and Stevie Nick's made a cameo appearance she is playing a guitar
React to her After The Glitter Fades for a country feel from her.
Not on the subject.. but I'd like to see you do the band Missing Persons, Walking In LA, Menatal Hopscotch, Words and there's others.. Thanks for the fun vids!!
YES PLEASE!! The original Lady Gaga right?
This is a big and brassy song and Stevie nails it
Brilliant song, check out Stevie's duet with Tom Petty in "Stop Draggin My Heart Around" a song he wrote for her.

YES. STAND BACK IS AWESOME
top female rocker of her time and still going strong
That muted guitar strumming might have been used before but it was a year ahead of Survivor's Eye of the Tiger 🎸🤘.
This song was nominated for a Grammy.
Stevie Nicks in a trance? Yeah, obviously. Wanna hear/see some more? Check out this ua-cam.com/video/zuTzAha1t80/v-deo.html
This her statement song as a solo artist. Awesome song
Listen to Sisters of the moon live
thanks Dereck great music
That was the end song from her Bella Donna tour
I think that might have been Mick Fleetwood himself on the drums. I actually own both
the Bella Donna and Street Angel albums and they are really fabulous! Which reminds
me...that you should check out her duet Leather and Lace because it's really beautiful!
That’s not Mick, but Mick has toured with her when she was solo.
It's RUSS KUNKEL....
Dude u need to go Stevie's solo tour.. she's the true queen of rock.writes her own music too. Sad today's female artist that get all the attention can't even compare. Beyonce etc ..

Thats a Rock icon
Please do “Gold Dust Woman”
I've always liked Stevie but fyi she was literally " flying "
There’s always at least one idiot that has to bring up the drugs. So predictable.
Why in the hell would you find the need to mention that? Except for age, she would be giving this energy today. She has been away from the drugs a long time and has been so honest about everything. Why would you give her a back slap compliment?
@@PassionGrows facts are facts....
That is Mick Fleetwood on drums
Check out STAND BACK. If you can find the live at RED ROCK, its over the top.
It wasn't a good time in her life if you know her background.. Fortunately she was great all the time
It was Tom Petty's wife who had the strong southern accent. Stevie Nicks is from Phoenix, Arizona and doesn't have a southern accent... Although she started singing country music with her Grandfather when she was just 5 years old.
Stevie Nicks was born in Arizona
I've seen Fleetwood Mac 366 in concerts
And young people wonder why we don’t like the music today! If you want to hear a great song by Stevie listen to Nothing Ever Changes. It’s a song that doesn’t get much play but I’m positive you’ll love it. It rocks 🙂. Sable on Blond is another great one!
mick fleetwood on the drums tho❣️❣️
Not even.....just resembles him!
Russ Kunkel

Can you please react to the live in Chicago version of this song? "Stevie Nicks: "Edge Of Seventeen Live In Chicago"
Stevie(Stephanie)Nicks is a VERY distant cousin of mine,but I can't carry a tune in a bucket
Bro that's not a chord lol but I appreciate that you listened. That's one note at the beginning and 3 notes total.
Waddy Wachtel lead guitarist and leader of the band
The song is about two John's Lennon and I believe her uncle john who was dying and the title was inspired by Jane Petty The late Tom Petty's wife
If you can find her song “ It’s A Bitch”, please play it. It is my anthem song!!
Highway Man
All That Glitters Is Gold
These are just a couple of her great solo hits!!
Ahh "Sometimes It's A Bitch" written for her by Jon Bon Jovi!
He is from the police Sting who was teacher all three members were
YO BRO IM NEW HERE ID LOVE TO SEE YOU REACT TO WOMEN BY DEFF LEPPARD!!!!!
Seems like the video was skipping forward wierdly.
The original Gypsy.
The look and sound of cocaine
Uh, you're making me laugh. Energized? Stevie in the 80s? That's one way of putting it.
Madonna Fans can be vicious
One video you have to react to is Silver Springs from The Dance.
