Very helpful, my app started not working today, just a blank screen appeared. So I deleted the app thinking I could just download it back. I obviously could not find the app and with a quick google search learned they took it down. First thing I did was come to UA-cam, lol thank you!

Ok. You have to pay for UA-cam tv! So how do you access with out UA-cam tv? Free UA-cam. Btw. I have the UA-cam app but google has slowed it down so much it is useless. Need a fix. Anybody???
Just to clarify, we are currently youtubetv subscribers but if we buy a new TCL/Roku driven TV, it will not allow for a UA-camTV app, so we’d have to gain access to our UA-camTV via the UA-cam app as you described?
The UA-cam TV app was removed from Roku store in April. So unless you have YTTV already on a Roku account, you can’t get it and need to use the workaround. Now the UA-cam app may also leave as of December 9 if an agreement isn’t made. I would wait to see the outcome first if it were me.
Can i add UA-cam app ( not UA-cam TV ) on Roku 2 ?

I'm not sure since I've upgraded my Roku devices. You could try, but as time goes on, you may need to swap it out for a newer one as fewer apps are supported.

Michael I have a question. The UA-cam TV package costs the same as my cable package. What should I do? Should I keep Cable or cut the cord and switch to UA-cam TV?
If you're happy with cable and streaming won't save you money, no reason to switch unless you don't want to deal with contracts. Streaming has no contracts so you can stop and start your subscriptions. Very few people have $65/month cable plans when you factor in extra cable fees. But since you do, great!
@@MichaelSaves I pay $68 dollars for cable and there’s no contact or hidden fees just taxes and equipment. But my cable package has 100 channels (which all are on UA-cam TV), No DVR, and a horrible on demand library. Honestly the only reason why I have cable is because if I didn’t my TV cart would look empty and would be a waste of money lol.
@@MichaelSaves I have an update for you. So the price was the same price for UA-cam TV for 2 months after that you have to pay for the premium channels and for the equipment. Thankfully there were no contracts so I cut the cord and signed up for Sling TV cuz Verizon was offering 2 months free. After the 2 months I might sign up for UA-cam TV. I pay $39.99 for internet. And $16 for Sling TV at the moment.
@@hamzadorez4234 if you happen to be a T-Mobile customer, you can get UA-cam TV for $10 off ($55) as long as you maintain your T-Mobile account. This offer is good through T-Mobile through the rest of the year. But after that I’m sure they will come up with some other promotion.
The advantage of streaming over cable is that you don’t have to pay cable box fee for each TV... 10 bucks per month for each extra tv. With UA-camtv you can watch up to 3 screens at a time and can use it on as many TVs you want. If you only have one TV cable it’s not that expensive to be honest. But say if you have four TVs that’s extra $30 a month with the cable company and that’s where the savings of streaming lies. I have a weekend home and my kids are in college who use TV very occasionally. we just have one account and we can access that in four locations and on multiple TVs for one flat price of $65 a month

For those who don't have the YT app on their ROKU currently and you want it then you may want to download it soon as possible. Last week ROKU announced that they will be removing it from their store on Dec 9th which means you'll not be able to watch YT or YT TV if you don't add it to your channels before Dec 9th
Is it already removed? It's Nov 14 and I cannot find it??? I was hoping to switch from comcast to YTTV in December.
@@de_41 Did you go on your roku account and search for youtube? The YT TV app is no longer available but when I checked last week the regular YT app was still available
@@oscardelta1257 I just searched on the roku main screen. I was hoping to add it like you mentioned. I do have the regular YT app. Weren't you saying the YTTV app was not going to be removed until Dec 9?
@@de_41 No, the YTTV app was removed quite a while ago by ROKU. but you can still watch YTV through the regular YT app by scrolling down to the bottom of the menu on the left side while on the YT app

Did that and when I press a channel on the guide it takes me back to youtube
You're the second person who has posted this. I would contact support. I'm not sure what's going on. This workaround worked for me at the time of the recording.
How did you get the UA-cam tv icon on the Home Screen?

@@MichaelSaves I see the YoTube TV and UA-cam apps on my Roku, but they will not download. They say my network isn't connected. All other apps on Roku work fine.
I am a long-time YT subscriber with a Roku TV, and have not had an issue until today. I couldn't connect to YT or YT TV. I stupidly tried removing the regular YT app to try reinstalling it, but forgot about this issue and now I can't get the app back. I have no idea what to do now. Still have the YT TV app, but it still won't connect. Other streaming is fine.
Actually, I was able to get the YT app back, but I still can't watch either. I do the connection setup and it says it is connected, but then when I try to open either app, it says can't connect.
There have been some issues with UA-cam and UA-cam TV, but should be resolved. You can download UA-cam TV on your devices.
@@MichaelSaves It eventually resolved itself. I think this might be an issue with the TV actually. It has another problem where it turns itself off for no reason. I love this TV but I think it's about time for a new one.

What about getting the regular youtube on Roku? I just cut my cable because of high prices. So why would I want to pay that high youtube TV price of $72.00 lol. Just want the free youtube like one I get on my pc.
This is a different app. You should be able to get regular UA-cam on your Roku!
For some reason it plays any music or videos for about 5 seconds and cuts off. It's only youtube app doing this. all rest play fine. I'm not having any trouble wit UA-cam on my PC.@@MichaelSaves
This gets me to UA-cam TV, but the moment I select a program to watch, it kicks me back out to the Roku Main Menu

HOW DO YOU JUST GO ON UA-cam FROM A ROKU - TO SURF UA-cam
I just experienced not being able to access UA-cam TV as of today, September 14, 2021. I have watched your video to “go around” the issue. I can’t even access the regular UA-cam channel/app. All other apps are working fine. The message I get each time I try…”UA-cam could not be run because it could not be reinstalled from the network. Please check your network connection and try again.”
I checked the connection, it is fine and there is a strong signal.
Am I going to need a different streaming platform other than Roku? This is ridiculous!
I just got to UA-cam TV through UA-cam. The workaround still works. It is telling you to check your network connection, so my suggestion is that you unplug your Roku from the wall and from the back of your TV and then plug it back in. See if it works when you turn it back on. I'm a little confused by the message you received. Did you uninstall UA-cam? Anyway, let me know if this works.
Going through the same issue! My other apps work fine except UA-cam tv and the UA-cam app which I’m not able to access at all. I’m receiving the same message. Even with rebooting the app itself or Roku it’s showing the same message. I’m not a new user we’ve had UA-cam tv for over a year now. Something is wrong with the apps it seems🙄😡.
@@LDenise27 I am seeing other reports on Twitter. Some people are saying it worked to follow the steps I provided, specifically unplugging from the power source. Maybe contact Roku or UA-cam TV customer support. Hopefully it's a temporary bug. For now, can you cast from your phone to your TV?
@@MichaelSaves I got up and went to turn the news on while getting ready for work. Nothing. Internet is strong. Only 1 TV is letting the UA-cam TV app work, which is the newest tv with Roku installed on it. I tried unplugging/plugging back in…same message. Can’t be reinstalled from the network. We didn’t do anything. Went to bed and got up with YT TV not loading and getting the same message. Help!
@@jodidyke3186 I think you need to contact UA-cam TV or Roku for support. I am not experiencing the same issue so I have no further troubleshooting steps. I’ve seen some people on Twitter with the same issue. Roku is responding to them.
They just deleted the YouTub app so this short cut doesn’t work.
I am watching UA-cam on a Roku right now. Maybe reach out to support.
Google should drop UA-cam support on Roku. Roku lied about the negotiations, Google offered the same terms an Roku rejected.
