We have been with Sling TV since 2015. I wanted UA-cam tv, but they don’t have the History channel. Plus, my husband loves the variety of Western channels. We will keep Peacock and Paramount for football. It’s crazy. We had two streaming services. Now, there are at least six or seven of them. We are still paying less than cable. Thank you for your hard work Michael. Have a wonderful day. ❤❤❤❤
The rising prices are one of the reasons why we use a TabloTV and an Antenna. I can watch every show I want to without paying extra for it.
That's beginning to look like a great alternative.
I've cancelled basically all my streaming services. I'll keep Hulu since we are on a Black Friday special from last year, but these services are getting too expensive and not worth it. Going back to DVDs and BluRays from the library, and I'll rent VOD when necessary.
Thanks, Michael, for your consistently helpful, up to date and easy to understand videos. I am a fan.
Once our yearly special expires in August we won't renew Peacock.
No fear. Peacock will probably be offering another deal in the fall. I’m like you, I’ve been getting Peacock for $21 a year for almost the past two years. Unbelievable value I’m sure they will be offering something similar. Maybe in the range of $30 per year. Still worth it.
Me either, peacock sucks for the services that got it for, terrible picture quality excessive buffering.
Actually peacock is merging with paramount plus so I probably would hold off with signing up with peacock until more information on this merger come. No one knows how the merger will affect everyone.
@@fredreed2001 that is rumor not fact.
I don’t see it happening.
I was enjoying UA-camtv but found the text style too small compared to others.
Black friday is the only time i sign up
I'm going to have to drop my Spectrum cable because the prices keep increasing. May have to go back to Philo. 🙏
@MichaelSaves -- Thanks for this. There are several channels that offer similar types of material. Yours is a good one. I'm pleased to have found it.
This has been my beat since 2016! Glad you found me.
I recently cut the cable cord and am overwhelmed with new technologies.
Currently have AppleTV (daughter bought for us🤷🏼), and an indoor antenna. All we want is to watch TV news and international media with the ability to record international media for viewing later…🤷🏼
Why they gotta make it difficult 😡
Some of the comcast subscriptions will include peacock premium for free. There are ads, but usually 60 seconds per interruption during shows, and a couple of minutes before movies, but nothing during the movies. For the shows, I like to fast forward through every segment and let the ads play with the sound down, and then back it up to the beginning of the show and then it will run without ads. 😊
Nice tip. Thanks!
I have 8 streaming services that I pay for. These price hikes are ridiculous. These companies are so greedy.
I'm never happy having to pay more for a service like Peacock, but since I'm a WWE fan, I would hate to go back to the old school PPV model of 30 to 60 bucks a pop that many other wrestling companies still do like AEW, TNA, etc..
Having said that I'd drop them in a minute if they get too expensive, same for UA-cam TV which really should be offering 4K as a value add in their base plan seeing as it does not take that much more bandwidth to stream, & would get even more people to switch from old school cable TV.
Thanks for the information.
I agree, I like the new YTTV Library.
Hey Michael! I was going to cancel peacock due to the price hikes but peacock offered me a deal of 99 cents for 6 months. I highly recommend peacock for doing this.
That's a good deal! Ty
Hi. I am getting a special Peacock special of 2.99 a month until August, I think. Going to cancel after that and wait for you to tell me they have a deal. Thank you, Sir. I really appreciate all you do. Have a nice day everyone.
I'll probably until Black Friday for any deal (if any). No rush since I don't watch much TV during the summer months
Thanks Michael!
As for youtube tv I wouldn't mind the new library but with the upgrade I only got one tab and that was it. UA-cam is looking into it and getting my troubleshooting fix for my library.
We need to start our own streaming service... UNLIMITED EVERYTHING for $20/ month.....Called
NO GAMES streaming service
Clever name!
Love it, sign me up!!!
@@jeffreysimms2318 LETS GO! NO KARDASHIAN SHOWS!! 😂
Had considered fubo, but with them losing hgtv my wife would be very upset!
Sling has HGTV and Discoveryplus has it as well as many other shows that aren’t available anymore
Maybe FRNDLY or Philo is a good choice for her.
In my opinion, by the end of next year, fubo will not even be an option. They will be gone.
They are not backed by huge corporate money like UA-cam TV, Hulu with live TV and even DIRECTV are.
What exactly is she watching on HGTV? You don't learn anything on there anymore. Same as Food Network. No cooking shows, only competition shows.
I am testing the replacement with UA-cam TV. Very good so far.
Peacock free with Comcast plans.
I enjoy Peacock but I am not sure if I will keep it or not…
I really appreciate this information as I'm overwhelmed with how to understand all these options. I want to get rid of spectrum
This article/video will help you get started! michaelsaves.com/streaming/how-to-cut-the-cord/
1. I think with the increased popularity of my favorite show, Traitors along with Vanderpump Rules, Peacock is aware they can make a bit more now with their subscription base growing 2. I also agree, I think YTTV’s Library and Home setups are even better now with the ability to see exactly what you want so easily.
I will have to check out Traitors. Some of my friends watch it!
@@MichaelSaves Oh it’s great!! And the Australian and UK versions are awesome too!
Yellowstone is huge and is Peacock exclusive.
I only subscribe to Peacock for IndyCar qualifying. Won't be renewing because of the price increase.
I discontinued UA-cam TV and went back to Direct stream for $2 more month and we like their lineup and programming as far as Pay TV goes.
Understand and hear that a lot
Smh, I’ll never understand why UA-cam never offered a bundle package
I have an annual deal for Peacock Premium where they only charge me $1.99/month until November. (then it'll go to full price) Does that mean they're going to start changing me more in August until my annual plan ends in November? Or was the annual deal that I'm on different from an annual plan purchased for a full year in advanced?
You prepaid, so you will not have to pay until the end of your 12 months. If you choose to continue after the end of your 12 months, you'll pay the higher rate. So in your case, your first billing date after August 17 is in November.
Any insight on the Hulu, Disney +, Max offering just announced by Disney. I assume it would be Hulu Live
It is separate. I am going to do an update video on all the new bundles
I don’t watch any sports and wish they had a plan without it, I bet I would save a bundle!
Honestly, Peacock doesn't have enough quality programming to justify that. Most of their movies and shows are either junk or you can find them on other streaming services.
I think you’re correct. Their more loyal subs are in it for the sports.
@@MichaelSaves very true. I'm not into American sports so I'll cancel once my 1 yr prepay is over. Thanks for the updated information :)
The Traitors.
Still streaming UA-cam TV
How do you like youtube tv? I'm thinking of ditching spectrum
@@trueblue8869 it’s great. A little different searching but it easy once you get used to it. Saving a bunch of money. I recommend it.
I would like for Spectrum to open their streaming service for everyone.
Peacock is going to have a hard time with that price increase as people start to downsize subs I have the ad version of peacock included with xfinity gig internet would not pay $8 for it nope
I agree and wonder what will happen if they attempt to be less promotional this Black Friday. With so much sports, they cannot afford to discount forever.
What live TV streaming service would you recommend for RVers that travel away from the home base for 2 or 3 weeks at a time? I know Hulu tv is a big no.
UA-cam TV is not bad for travelers since you said you’ll be back at home base every 2-3 weeks. But DIRECTV STREAM may also be one to try for your case.
Thank you for your quick reply. I just signed up for youtubetv and was able to login on several tvs using both IPs I have at the same time. Works great, so far.
I'm glade I canceled Peacock last year and I wonder how many customers will drop them because of the price increase
With less things to watch on live tv because they are now on streaming services then cable is slowly dying and I think UA-cam TV, Hulu and Fubo will as well.
I have UA-cam TV since January 2024. I think it's a rip off for $79/month. I watch maybe 5 channels and don't do all that fancy stuff of streaming, recording ect. I am definitely going to shop around.
Michael Saves. Do you have any cheaper plans for UA-cam TV.? This $79/mo is out of my budget but you seemed to have loved my comment about the $79/monthly being a total rip off.
Hi! Any suscess with tablo?
Yes I have one! New generation would be the way to go.
Read the fine print before purchasing.
#2 - Did you read about Paramounts earnings call?? It was 9 min, they didn't take questions, and played the theme song for Mission Impossible on loop. What the actual F? You can't make this up.
I wish spectrum offered something similar to prepaid internet like xfinity is doing, the pricing seems pretty fair
Maybe they will soon? They're facing the same pressure from competition.
@@MichaelSavesI hope so, cause their prices without promos for Internet are ridiculous, and they don't give people the option to choose a lower speed plan only 300 Mbps and up
I don’t mind the peacock price increase because I only keep 2 to 4 paid services at a time, along with free ones. If I have more than 4, there will be some I just don’t have time to watch. When I run out of stuff I’m interested in on a service, I cancel it and switch to a service I haven’t had in a long time. I pay about $30-40 a month and get everything I want by being patient.
We just stopped Fubu after being on for over a year. We did sign up for Max as Discovery channels like Food Network are our favorite. We love sports and now need to find something with both Discovery Networks and Live sports, don't want to go back to cable but seems like very slim pickings for what we like.
DIRECTV STREAM maybe?
@@MichaelSaves I'm on your website and DirectTV stream looks like best option. Their site is kind of confusing on pricing. Thanks for replying !
WWE makes Peacock my favorite streaming service. Can’t depart with it. If they ever lose WWE I’ll have no reason to keep it.
Bad or good news depending on how you look at it vidgo is no longer around their servers were taken down. It looks like they went bankrupt.
Yeah if it wasn’t for my kids I’d do physical media only….ive cut down a lot of what I used to have…it’s gonna be in the 20 dollar range within a yr or two I bet
What if I already paid 29.99 for the year?
You’re good until renewal
I do support Peacock price increase for the ad plan, Because they have limited ads and it's Ad plan supports 4K streaming.
Not much in 4k though.
@@juanthompson8016 And? Most of shows comes from Comcast TV networks that's made in 1080
@@juanthompson8016 No, but at least the major movies are, & if you like WWE then the Premium Live events easily pays for itself considering what other wrestling companies still charge for a single PPV event.
Peacock airs all men's soccer, US and International, in English.
Peacock airs only US women's soccer and only in SPANISH. Also, the captioning is either sporadic or lagging, omitting a lot of what is said.
Discriminatory. Why shouldn't we get English? We can't even watch Canada or any other country.
I stay away from the bid names. I like mostly anime and am a long time Crunchyroll subscriber.
Streaming has become and will continue to be a revolving shell game. Buyer beware.
I would love to see Michael with a shocked look on his face and his mouth in a giant 0 and a thread title such as : Shocking News About Cord Cutting !!!
All the less classy youtubers do this sometimes, LOL.
Welcome to cable the last 30 years and carriage problems!
There is no reason to have cable tv at all.
Between Tablo, Frndly, Philo, Pluto, Tubi and others I pay less than $40/month. Peacock, Paramount and others can go pound sand. Go ahead, price yourselves out of business.
I love Peacock. I am going to stick with it. I like the news and political commentary shows best.
it's all about the MONEY IN SPORTS.... when players are getting OUTRAGEOUS contracts.... it's passed on down to viewers....
( i kinda think they get more money than they need.. can they ever spend that money , i mean c'mon... )
( a million dollars per football game.... unfrickinbelievable....👎)
Peacock broadcasts a lot of garbage- I won’t be renewing my subscription
Probably will cancel peacock after the Olympics
