David, this is the most concise explanation of the traditional "fat over lean" method I have ever seen. More importantly you've applied it to acrylic painting. I'm very familiar with the method as it relates to oil painting but this is the first time I've seen it effectively applied to acrylics. As you stated, "That's an acrylic painted cloud and it looks like oil." This has been a true epiphany for me relating to acrylic "fat over lean". I can't wait to use the technique. And not just for clouds! A million thanks for this!

Wow!!! I learned sooooo much in 1st 13 min!! It’s been 41 yrs since I held a paint brush other than to paint the house. So- I forget EVERYTHING except primary colors and what they make. I've been painting for decades and I wanted to let you know that I learned some very useful info from this video. And I'm putting it to use right now on the sky I'm currently painting, with much improved results! I don't think I've ever heard anyone point out the consistency of the paint being so important for painting clouds, but it's true. I wonder how I missed such a simple lesson all these years. Thanks for the insight and the new tool to go in my toolbox!
