For me that's still better than Heisenberg doing it because he's a sociopath, or Donna using up her playmates, or who knows what happens in Castle Dimitrescu, to me all of them are bad what they do is inexcusable but to me Moreau had the least evil reasoning and he also failed the most making it all pointless and more tragic that nothing ever goes his way, the best thing to happen to him was dying which sucks
If a child thinks that if they don't do something they lose there parents love they will probably do it. It's less of 'I'm doing this to impress you' and more like 'I'm doing this or you'll never love me' Moreau did bad things yes but doing bad things doesn't make you inherently bad. Regardless to be a bad person shouldn't devalue the situation you were forced into. You can have sympathy for bad people. And given his situation specifically I don't think he was inherently bad. He was misguided and suffering. The only good thing to him in his mind was his mother and her wishes. So in his mind he was desperately trying to do good by his mother's standards. Not understanding that his mother never loved him in the first place and no matter how hard he tried it was never gonna be enough. So do I feel bad for Moreau? Yes. But even so there was no situation he could have been in where he wasn't suffering so he had to be let go.
I feel like with Moreau and Donna it's kinda less bad since the Cadou altered them in some bad ways since both of them have gotten mental problems from the Cadou but i feel like Moreau had it the worst since his body also got massively altered.
It’s odd that he’s the most abnormal out of all the lords, but him watching movies while eating cheese is probably the most relatable thing in the entire game

Well it did say in Miranda’s diary how his brain function was low (not saying that has to do with anything but ye). Plus, he acted very childlike and called Miranda “mother”. I do think it is kinda cute too tho.
It’s a shame he did those experiments to please Miranda, and I’m pretty sure she never really did care. Even if he didn’t and just sat there watching static and eating cheese, he most likely would’ve been forced to or be punished or even worse in his eyes, cast aside and be forgotten by her and the others.
Actually it's normal in scientific thing. When doing an experiment, you should wrote specific things as much as possible. Because even a tiny thing could affect experiment result
Somehow i feel it more a representation of his own emotions. He was undoubtedly happy when mother miranda came to him offering test subjects for experiments. He found it a bright and sunny day that he could be of some use to mother. But when he ultimately failed, he felt that he disappointed miranda. And at that point a somewhat gloominess befell him signifying a dark, cloudy day.
Naw I think he would've ended up being the last boss seeming if Ethan killed the other 3 and Moreau was all that was left. He wants to be loved and would devote himself for Miranda's approval even if he would risk his life. That or he would make the boss fight with Miranda even harder being a 2 on 1 if Moreau was the last person.

I would've loved to see Moreau's grotesque design where he would have a woman stuck on his back scream every time he moved. That would've added to the shock value to this game.
When I saw the encounter, I thought this was definitely not Ethan's brightest moment, when he announced to Moreau he had the container, had a conversation, and could've just slipped away.

Moreau can't catch a break, Donna calls him Ugly and pushes him away when he just wants to see Ethan at the meeting, heisenberg basically uses him to stall Ethan when he tells him that they are all needed for the ceremony even though Miranda could careless as all she ever needed was the Flasks, and Ethan makes him look like a joke everytime he sees him, if Lady D didn't already look down on Men she'd probably be belittling Moreau everytime she saw him
He also may have been persuaded to do these experiments by mother Miranda, probably through saying these are important to her, and that he must do them for her.

I feel like they could have done more with him. Him having a lover on his back and watching romance movie in character arts were great and would make him look more interesting as a character.

I feel bad for Moreau. He just wanted to fit in and be liked. I also like Heisenberg, because he made a deal to help Ethan kill Miranda, but Ethan, decided to kill Heisenberg instead.
I kinda wish we were given a choice to either accept or reject Heisenberg's offer-partially because I like the guy myself. Although I do feel like he would have betrayed Ethan in the end after defeating Miranda if the offer was accepted, it still would have been an interesting thing to see played out.

I like how all the bosses are based off the Fairy tale from the start. -Lady Dimitresu is the Bat King -Donna Beneviento is the Dark Weaver -Salvatore Moreau is the Fish Lord -Hisenburg is the Iron Stead -Mother Miranda is the Witch Queen
And in the story, the bat gave the little girl some blood to drink. In the game, lady Dimitrescu made whine from blood. In the story, the dark weaver knitted the little girl a new skirt. in the game, the table in the middle of the main hall, you can see some thread and the roll. In the story, the fish lord gave the little girl a scale to feast on. In the game, you can find a lot of fish to use to make meals. In the story, the iron steed got mad at the little girl for taking his wheel. In the game, your able to make a cogwheel with a horse on it.
There is this one voiceline i find very interesting: "I should be with her... not you" i think it may has something to do with Miranda taking Mias place in Ethans home and acting like his wife but im not sure maybe he has a crush on Mia

Moreau was probably my second favorite lord in the game behind Lady Dimitrescu. He felt way nicer then the rest and in the end all he really wanted was live from his mother. Which sadly she never had

You can't blame the guy for his actions when he was forcibly transformed into a horrible fish monster with degraded brain functions and indoctrinated over decades into worshiping the very person who did that to him. Also the video doesn't really explain who he was before all that, which is kinda disappointing cause that was the whole reason for watching it.

Moreau has always confused me. He's possibly the least intelligent of the lords, and yet he's the one who did most of the cadou experiments and made the lycans. Meaning that admistering the cadou is easy or, maybe moreau isn't as dumb as the other lords think he is.

But the story goes; Miranda gave Moreau some cadou to experiment with and eventually he got the idea to inject wolf blood into the cadou and then put them in humans, this created the lycans. And the diary in moreau's lab shows that it was all his idea. But yes, anyone could make lycans, it's just that Moreau had the idea first.
@@l.o.l7049 I'm pretty sure one of Miranda's notes specifies she had made a ton of lycans while testing cadou on villagers to find a proper vessel. I'm pretty sure Moreau accidentally made the Varcolac. Which explains why they don't work in conjunction with the lycans and "cannot be controlled".
Moreau is truely the worse off after gaining Mother Miranda's gift, yet he was also the most innocent of them all, it's not mentioned often by people but having the cadou in him basically reverted his mind back to an childlike state explaining his want for his mothers love and approval, even reading his diary and reports he never wants to experiment on humans for the sake of it only in a bid to better his standing with the other lords and Miranda herself, all he wants is praise and acceptance but is constantly berated and abused by the others, if you think about it Heisenberg used him by giving him the flask and telling him to keep it safe rather than hiding it himself but he wanted Ethan to kill off the other lords and work together with him to take down Miranda I think Donna is a great way to show mental illness in this game and social anxiety but Moreau represents a part of all of us we don't like to show, our insecurities and doubts, even he looks down on himself when he said he thought he'd be left out because the others can't stand to be around him, Heisenberg calls him a moronic freak even though he knows all of them were unwilling test subjects and hates Miranda for it hell even Ethan insults him more than any of the other lords, everyone is bullying this poor guy yet through it all he just wants to be useful and loved by Miranda and his siblings, the 4 Lords are the only family any of them have left other than Lady D and her daughters so I guess I can also pity him for that too since these games seem to want to make the reasons these characters do anything understandable, Miranda and her daughter, Moreau and Miranda, Heisenberg and Pride, Donna and wanting Friends and of course Ethan and his Rose

This entire game is like a homage to The island of Dr Moreau, with Miranda taking the doctor's handle (it's a Victorian book and she's born Victorian era) as the remote, splicy scientist with a load of experiments seeing her as the parent and Ethan taking the lost Edward's place, we even have Moreau being the only *more creature than human* lord, which was the major problem in the book.

I felt sorry for him to begin with, then he starts all the killing of Ethan and shit. He reminds me of those serial killers who have devastating backstories, but end up doing something so horrific you can no longer justify the reasons for it.
Extremely enjoyable video, especially for someone like me who doesn't really play horror games but loves the creepy and grotesque lore of stuff like RE.
Moreau was my favorite character and I really wish it was more stretched out and there was more dialogue between the 2. I always felt bad for him. He basically did it even though messed up to impress the others
I wish the game was a few chapters longer. As different as the experience is this time around, I really feel like the characters are awesome but not enough time was spent with them
The level of creativity, imagination and simbolism that video games are reaching nowadays is just astounding. I feel like each video game character is more deep than any movie character, and horror definitely is much better in games.

Moreau already feels inferior to the others, is the worst of the 3 by far in terms of compatibility with the cadou and constantly berated and treated like garbage by the others so much so that he thought he wasn't gonna be a piece of Rose even though he is one of the 4 lords, Moreau is just tragic no matter what angle you look at him from

@JACK HE i think it would have been neat if they kept the lover but made it so she was essentially dead, only her wheezing and screams caused by the cadou in Salvatore trying to keep her alive but failing, constantly in a state of pain and suffering, brain dead, and a husk that Salvatore is unable to rid himself of, constantly reminded of his loneliness and inability to be loved as one of the two people he ever idolized (the woman and Miranda) and or cared about is being used as biomass by the cadou within him. Miranda could instead be him projecting from the woman on his back onto her, the woman could also instead of being a lover could have been his mother or something

I also like Heisenberg, because he made a deal to help Ethan kill Miranda, but Ethan, decided to kill Heisenberg instead.
I kinda wish we were given a choice to either accept or reject Heisenberg's offer-partially because I like the guy myself. Although I do feel like he would have betrayed Ethan in the end after defeating Miranda if the offer was accepted, it still would have been an interesting thing to see played out.

I mean, I definitely wouldn't team up with a guy who wanted to use my infant daughter's power for his own gain, and who also tried to kill me, so what plays out is logical and fits with the story. I mostly meant it as a bad end route kind of thing (like choosing between curing Mia or Zoe in RE7)...purely a hypothetical scenario for the sake of discussion. And like I said, I think the guy's interesting.

But Moreau is too far gone to escape Miranda. He either had to die the way he did or would've been trapped as a fish forever. Or any other outcome that is very sad.

@Siddharti Tanashiri the Goddess thats why Heisenberg wanted Rose so much, like we see at the end even as a baby Rose was stronger than Miranda, the issue is ethan, whether he wants to admit it or not he and Chris couldnt have won without Rose or at the very least escaped without rose weakening miranda since Chris was gonna blow the megamycete sky high along with the rest of the village

Turns out Heisenberg was always right, wish the game would have given us an option to choose his side, even as bad ending.

You can't blame the guy for his actions when he was forcibly transformed into a horrible fish monster with degraded brain functions and indoctrinated over decades into worshiping the very person who did that to him. Also the video doesn't really explain who he was before all that, which is kinda disappointing cause that was the whole reason for watching it.

Moreau has always confused me. He's possibly the least intelligent of the lords, and yet he's the one who did most of the cadou experiments and made the lycans. Meaning that admistering the cadou is easy or, maybe moreau isn't as dumb as the other lords think he is.
Did he? I thought he created the Vârcoli only. The lycans are just standard mutants anyone could create with the mold.

But the story goes; Miranda gave Moreau some cadou to experiment with and eventually he got the idea to inject wolf blood into the cadou and then put them in humans, this created the lycans. And the diary in moreau's lab shows that it was all his idea. But yes, anyone could make lycans, it's just that Moreau had the idea first.
I guess the transformation and deformation that he suffered from caused him to lose he's mind .
@@l.o.l7049 I'm pretty sure one of Miranda's notes specifies she had made a ton of lycans while testing cadou on villagers to find a proper vessel. I'm pretty sure Moreau accidentally made the Varcolac. Which explains why they don't work in conjunction with the lycans and "cannot be controlled".
Moreau is truely the worse off after gaining Mother Miranda's gift,
yet he was also the most innocent of them all, it's not mentioned often by people but having the cadou in him basically reverted his mind back to an childlike state explaining his want for his mothers love and approval, even reading his diary and reports he never wants to experiment on humans for the sake of it only in a bid to better his standing with the other lords and Miranda herself, all he wants is praise and acceptance but is constantly berated and abused by the others, if you think about it Heisenberg used him by giving him the flask and telling him to keep it safe rather than hiding it himself but he wanted Ethan to kill off the other lords and work together with him to take down Miranda
I think Donna is a great way to show mental illness in this game and social anxiety but Moreau represents a part of all of us we don't like to show, our insecurities and doubts, even he looks down on himself when he said he thought he'd be left out because the others can't stand to be around him, Heisenberg calls him a moronic freak even though he knows all of them were unwilling test subjects and hates Miranda for it hell even Ethan insults him more than any of the other lords, everyone is bullying this poor guy yet through it all he just wants to be useful and loved by Miranda and his siblings, the 4 Lords are the only family any of them have left other than Lady D and her daughters so I guess I can also pity him for that too since these games seem to want to make the reasons these characters do anything understandable, Miranda and her daughter, Moreau and Miranda, Heisenberg and Pride, Donna and wanting Friends and of course Ethan and his Rose

This entire game is like a homage to The island of Dr Moreau, with Miranda taking the doctor's handle (it's a Victorian book and she's born Victorian era) as the remote, splicy scientist with a load of experiments seeing her as the parent and Ethan taking the lost Edward's place, we even have Moreau being the only *more creature than human* lord, which was the major problem in the book.

The level of creativity, imagination and simbolism that video games are reaching nowadays is just astounding. I feel like each video game character is more deep than any movie character, and horror definitely is much better in games.
