I think you're right, as a shot to the shoulder isn't immediately deadly: if it had been Mia, they would have been able to rush in medical aid, Chris would have been proven wrong and Hound Wolf would have stayed with Blue Umbrella. Instead, Chris was proved right, and they left Blue Umbrella to take out Miranda and the source of the Mold. Umber Eyes fired, "Mia" didn't go down, looking annoyed instead of injured, so the rest of the squad opened fire.
Its especially telling when you realise it was a sniper shot. A normal person would have been launched backwards, or at the very least stumbled backwards. Miranda just was lightly pushed

There are some gloves that has a special material which allow the use of touch sensitive devices. Although the gloves he used doesn’t seem to look like those types.

I think seeing how Chris carries the weight of everything going on, seeing how hard he takes Ethan’s death, it makes sense why he didn’t tell him. Chris is at the point where he’s trying to do everything himself after all this time, and now he feels responsible for Ethan’s demise. It wasn’t the best decision but I think we forget how human Chris is and why he’s the hero of the franchise.
@Mohamed sure seems that way even though she’s always topped Chris and Claire in the popularity charts. My guess is they don’t know what to do with her after RE5. A story about Jill getting back into the field while recovering from her trauma of being Wesker’s puppet the past 2 years would’ve been incredible for RE6 but I guess the generic PTSD storyline with Chris was much easier to write. Plus putting him in the same game as Leon was more important. Wasn’t bashing Claire earlier btw. I think she’s awesome too.

Ethan was special, because he was actually a full molded that was resistant to Eveline's control. Where as Mia and the Bakers were infected, the mold had actually brought Ethan back to life as a molded.
The fact that Ethan started to see little Eveline as violent visions means that he wasn't resistant to it he would've fallen into Eveline's control but he managed to kill Eveline before that happened.
Rose is clearly Mia's daughter, as she seems to know the baby when Chris brought her back. Mia was probably abducted and replaced maybe a month at most before the events of VIllage, as she looks pretty okay despite her imprisonment.
I agree, but Im pretty sure it could be less than a week or it could be just two days. Since Miranda still had the same clothes as Mia. And this whole game only happened in just two days.
This was explained in the main villain lair. If you read all the notes, you would’ve found out that she switched out with Mia a bit after the move to Europe

Miranda took Mias place the day they had that argument in the bedroom. Notice Mia is still wearing the same exact clothing. They went to the doctors office afterwards and that’s when the switch happened. Ethan was in the waiting room.

Actually, I think that would've been a better way to start the game. Mia gets lit up, Chris comes in, Ethan is exasperated, Chris reveals it isn't Mia and all of a sudden "Mia's" dead corpse springs out with black mold and causes chaos, taking Rose and disappearing. Chris tries convincing Ethan to stay away but he goes anyways. Boom, RE8 Village but it makes sense.

Mia must have been Rose's mother, because she knew of Rose when Chris handed her over in the plane. If Miranda was Rose's mother, the real Mia wouldn't know Rose exists, as she would have been imprisoned whilst Miranda was pretending to be Mia. That's my thinking anyway Hope that makes sense xD
I would assume that Miranda took Mia's place when they were in America still but after Rose's birth and she was the one that convinced them to move to Romania

True, though I personally did like the tension it caused. Early Chris (RE 1, 5) would never had attempted to keep information like this secret from his charges, and he would have been the type to make a grand stand against his superiors if he was ordered to do so. I like how RE8!Chris is still, at his core, a good guy who wants to keep the world a better place, but he's been through so much trauma and betrayal that - this time - he chooses to be underhanded and a bit manipulative to get the mission done. It's like he realized being a hero means having to do things you wouldn't be proud of, if it meant keeping people safe. Which is something you'd expect to see from Leon, and it was cool to see it happen to Chris.
I mean Lady D and her daughters are still 10/10 but Chris is alright. At least I know what Alcina wants cause she is pretty explicit with her feelings. Chris less so since he does all this secret keeping. Like I wanna know the murderous intentions before I simp, not after.

Here’s what I think of the timeline in the 3 years we didn’t heard of Mia and Ethan Year 1 - Military Training Year 2 - Rose Year 3 - Mia captured. Imo would be around 1-2 days before RE8 takes place. Chris noticed that Miranda took the bait. Panicked a little bit and Rest is History.
@@NoMoreNever they’re not bad, the BSAA turned out to be doing stuff behind Chris’s back like using Bioweapons against bioweapons, and the BSAA’s purpose is to get rid of Bioweapons but they have their own function now which is an irony.
I really like Chris and his character development in this game. It makes him seem like an actual human being rather than a super soldier with no emotions. He has his demons from all he's been through and it really shows. Though I wasn't a massive fan of the game itself, I really liked the story. I wouldn't mind more games like this.
with RE9, I think it is time to bring back the original team. Jill, Chris, Leon and Claire against the corrupt BSAA, I guess. and the Connections organisation.

This game was pretty good, especially the Chris part. If the next resident evil game involves Chris and the bsaa maybe we’ll get to see Sheva again. Haven’t seen her since RE5 so that would be cool.

Depends with the context. Was Chris just the soldier who saved him in Louisiana, or was he a valued family friend who has been there for the Winters ever since the Bakers? We see from the start that Ethan was already concerned with Mia, and that she often had flashes of rage that scared him. While he may not have believed Chris entirely, I don't think Ethan is stupid enough to discount that there will always be effects from Louisiana on them, and the only medical clearance stating they were unaffected was provided purely by the BSAA would be suspicious, especially when Chris Redfield - one of the unofficial founders of BSAA - would say otherwise.
Could’ve restrained and taken him by force without knocking him out. After the shit Ethan saw in RE7, I’m sure he’d believe him once he got over the shock. Chris has been making bad decisions since RE2. He didn’t tell Claire anything for her safety and look how that turned out lol
It naturally occured there as far as we know. Im guessing that heart is where all the knowlage thats stored is retained. Once miranda died and lost control of it theres a good chance it went nuts or the accumulated knowledge gave it consousness which is why it attack in the end.

"Goodbye Rosemary." Two words and I can feel the emotions and strain behind it. I tear up every time I hear it and I can only hope others did as well. I know this is a Chris video but that line pulls at the heart strings so hard. Not sure if the other languages delivers just as hard.
If Resident Evil hadn't already done the "Chris is traumatized by the things he has seen/done and became an alcoholic" in 6 already, it would have worked to kick him to the side in potential RE9 to let Rose be a lead with minimal connection to Chris.
I don't know how Chris hasn't given up at this point. He helped bring down Umbrella, managed to kill Wesker, the events of RE5 probably caused Tricell to shut down, he killed Alexia Ashford and stopped her spreading the T-Veronica Virus around the world with her and put down Lucas Baker's sadistic ass but despite all that members of various teams he's been part of have died, the BSAA, an organisation both he and Jill helped found to destroy the Umbrella bioweapons that ended up on the black market has gone corrupt and is now using BOW's to complete its missions, Jill got temporarily brainwashed into serving Wesker, his sister Claire got attacked by Albert Wesker on Rockfort Island and years later was injected with a fear virus after being imprisoned on an island by fellow Wesker Child Alex. Guy's been fighting for 23 years.
Should’ve kicked him to the side after RE5 when his story was finished. RE6 should’ve had Jill overcoming her trauma of spending 2 years as Wesker’s pawn so then her story could’ve been finished too.
The irony is that they used the same face model for Chris in 7 as they did in 8. I imagine that after the fan response to Chris' look in 7, once they got the model's scan in, they edited it a little bit further to look closer to RE5 and 6 Chris.
I heard people theorize it was HUNK in RE7 but it’s only speculation, so it could be just Chris cause in the re:verse game screen, you can see the “Chris” RE7 model in there. So probably Chris, the most likely other option is HUNK (sort of looks like him from past face reveals I’ve seen of HUNK), if HUNK decided to join blue umbrella if that’s the case.
That was Chris. Capcom wanted to start using new technology for actual face models. As seen in RE2 and 3 remake. But people were not pleased with Chris’s look. So they changed it a bit to resemble 5 and 6
Growing up in the 90’s and playing the hell out of RE games, lately I’ve really grown to appreciate the characters of this universe. Chris, Leon, Claire, Jill, so well done even without the foresight of where the series was going.
I’m really sick of Chris though. I grew up playing RE too and I loved how they used to use a different protagonist for each game. I know Chris isn’t the protagonist in RE7 and RE8 but im still tired of him and wanna update on Jill and Claire’s whereabouts.

This has to be the best RE in a long time. The story all coming together, I bet Chris is gonna take on the BSAA. The voice acting is on a movie level and so are the scenes. I love that Chris got so emotional.

Seeing Mia take so many bullets at the beginning of the game, and NOT panic to the first bullet had me confused. Thank goodness I was able to piece everything together after Mia was found.

It didn't hit me till I played the game a few times: Miranda, as Mia, ate a fucking slug from a high power rifle like it was a bug bite. Yet Ethan didn't go "What the fuck? Babe you-" Legit getting drilled by a high power rifle anywhere is a express ticket to the ground lol

A character making a mistake based on the knowledge they had at the time is not a hole in logic. It is a feasible mistake a character made that contributes to character growth. People make mistakes and draw incorrect conclusions based on limited knowledge all the time. It is a shame bc this was a very good video
I almost felt like the Megamecite was ready to die. Possibly seeing how Miranda used it. We know it had some type of awareness. It did react to Chris and Ethan at the end of the game. Maybe it viewed Rose as a rebirth.

If you pay attention to the game, it's only 1 day from Chris taking to Rose and Ethan to the ending events of the game with the megamycete being destroyed.
I think this shows how good of a leader chris is and how much trust people are willing to give him if he was able to not only take control of the hound wolf squad but also make them defect

I think seeing how Chris carries the weight of everything going on, seeing how hard he takes Ethan’s death, it makes sense why he didn’t tell him. Chris is at the point where he’s trying to do everything himself after all this time, and now he feels responsible for Ethan’s demise. It wasn’t the best decision but I think we forget how human Chris is and why he’s the hero of the franchise.
Imo he is inconsistent and a victim of bad writing. Also imo Jill defeating Nemesis tops anything Chris has ever done.

@Mohamed sure seems that way even though she’s always topped Chris and Claire in the popularity charts.
My guess is they don’t know what to do with her after RE5. A story about Jill getting back into the field while recovering from her trauma of being Wesker’s puppet the past 2 years would’ve been incredible for RE6 but I guess the generic PTSD storyline with Chris was much easier to write. Plus putting him in the same game as Leon was more important.

Ethan was special, because he was actually a full molded that was resistant to Eveline's control. Where as Mia and the Bakers were infected, the mold had actually brought Ethan back to life as a molded.
The fact that Ethan started to see little Eveline as violent visions means that he wasn't resistant to it he would've fallen into Eveline's control but he managed to kill Eveline before that happened.

Rose is clearly Mia's daughter, as she seems to know the baby when Chris brought her back. Mia was probably abducted and replaced maybe a month at most before the events of VIllage, as she looks pretty okay despite her imprisonment.
I agree, but Im pretty sure it could be less than a week or it could be just two days. Since Miranda still had the same clothes as Mia. And this whole game only happened in just two days.
This was explained in the main villain lair. If you read all the notes, you would’ve found out that she switched out with Mia a bit after the move to Europe

Miranda took Mias place the day they had that argument in the bedroom. Notice Mia is still wearing the same exact clothing. They went to the doctors office afterwards and that’s when the switch happened. Ethan was in the waiting room.

Actually, I think that would've been a better way to start the game. Mia gets lit up, Chris comes in, Ethan is exasperated, Chris reveals it isn't Mia and all of a sudden "Mia's" dead corpse springs out with black mold and causes chaos, taking Rose and disappearing. Chris tries convincing Ethan to stay away but he goes anyways. Boom, RE8 Village but it makes sense.

True, though I personally did like the tension it caused. Early Chris (RE 1, 5) would never had attempted to keep information like this secret from his charges, and he would have been the type to make a grand stand against his superiors if he was ordered to do so. I like how RE8!Chris is still, at his core, a good guy who wants to keep the world a better place, but he's been through so much trauma and betrayal that - this time - he chooses to be underhanded and a bit manipulative to get the mission done. It's like he realized being a hero means having to do things you wouldn't be proud of, if it meant keeping people safe. Which is something you'd expect to see from Leon, and it was cool to see it happen to Chris.

Year 3 - Mia captured. Imo would be around 1-2 days before RE8 takes place. Chris noticed that Miranda took the bait. Panicked a little bit and Rest is History.

I really like Chris and his character development in this game. It makes him seem like an actual human being rather than a super soldier with no emotions. He has his demons from all he's been through and it really shows. Though I wasn't a massive fan of the game itself, I really liked the story. I wouldn't mind more games like this.

Depends with the context. Was Chris just the soldier who saved him in Louisiana, or was he a valued family friend who has been there for the Winters ever since the Bakers? We see from the start that Ethan was already concerned with Mia, and that she often had flashes of rage that scared him. While he may not have believed Chris entirely, I don't think Ethan is stupid enough to discount that there will always be effects from Louisiana on them, and the only medical clearance stating they were unaffected was provided purely by the BSAA would be suspicious, especially when Chris Redfield - one of the unofficial founders of BSAA - would say otherwise.

It naturally occured there as far as we know. Im guessing that heart is where all the knowlage thats stored is retained. Once miranda died and lost control of it theres a good chance it went nuts or the accumulated knowledge gave it consousness which is why it attack in the end.

Two words and I can feel the emotions and strain behind it. I tear up every time I hear it and I can only hope others did as well. I know this is a Chris video but that line pulls at the heart strings so hard. Not sure if the other languages delivers just as hard.
Maannnn the ending gets me everytime, when Ethan collapses of exhaustion still holding rose with the last bit of life in him...
If Resident Evil hadn't already done the "Chris is traumatized by the things he has seen/done and became an alcoholic" in 6 already, it would have worked to kick him to the side in potential RE9 to let Rose be a lead with minimal connection to Chris.
I don't know how Chris hasn't given up at this point. He helped bring down Umbrella, managed to kill Wesker, the events of RE5 probably caused Tricell to shut down, he killed Alexia Ashford and stopped her spreading the T-Veronica Virus around the world with her and put down Lucas Baker's sadistic ass but despite all that members of various teams he's been part of have died, the BSAA, an organisation both he and Jill helped found to destroy the Umbrella bioweapons that ended up on the black market has gone corrupt and is now using BOW's to complete its missions, Jill got temporarily brainwashed into serving Wesker, his sister Claire got attacked by Albert Wesker on Rockfort Island and years later was injected with a fear virus after being imprisoned on an island by fellow Wesker Child Alex. Guy's been fighting for 23 years.

In the years between 7 and 8...Chris either got extensive plastic surgery or the dude in RE7 wasn't Chris Redfield.
The irony is that they used the same face model for Chris in 7 as they did in 8. I imagine that after the fan response to Chris' look in 7, once they got the model's scan in, they edited it a little bit further to look closer to RE5 and 6 Chris.
I heard people theorize it was HUNK in RE7 but it’s only speculation, so it could be just Chris cause in the re:verse game screen, you can see the “Chris” RE7 model in there. So probably Chris, the most likely other option is HUNK (sort of looks like him from past face reveals I’ve seen of HUNK), if HUNK decided to join blue umbrella if that’s the case.

Growing up in the 90’s and playing the hell out of RE games, lately I’ve really grown to appreciate the characters of this universe. Chris, Leon, Claire, Jill, so well done even without the foresight of where the series was going.
I’m really sick of Chris though. I grew up playing RE too and I loved how they used to use a different protagonist for each game.
I know Chris isn’t the protagonist in RE7 and RE8 but im still tired of him and wanna update on Jill and Claire’s whereabouts.

This has to be the best RE in a long time. The story all coming together, I bet Chris is gonna take on the BSAA. The voice acting is on a movie level and so are the scenes. I love that Chris got so emotional.

Also we already saw Chris get all torn up over someone’s self sacrifice in RE6 so watching him go through it again felt repetitive.

Seeing Mia take so many bullets at the beginning of the game, and NOT panic to the first bullet had me confused.
Thank goodness I was able to piece everything together after Mia was found.
I love how Chris went frombeing censored from smoking in the OG RE to being a main character (sorta) in the recent ones... i didnt play OG RE games.. just RE 7 but i love Chris's lore and love this hero. just like Ethan Winters..all be it more recent

A character making a mistake based on the knowledge they had at the time is not a hole in logic. It is a feasible mistake a character made that contributes to character growth. People make mistakes and draw incorrect conclusions based on limited knowledge all the time. It is a shame bc this was a very good video

I almost felt like the Megamecite was ready to die. Possibly seeing how Miranda used it. We know it had some type of awareness. It did react to Chris and Ethan at the end of the game. Maybe it viewed Rose as a rebirth.

Not to mention with Duke handing out newspapers, they likely picked up English very quickly, and oh yes, it’s a fucking video game what do you expect? 0:48 chris look has been pretty consistent except for re7. hes thinner , younger looking and blonde. they either really messed up or it wasnt chris. re8 chris just looks older and more grizzled than re5 and re6 chris.

I know this will sound stupid to people who know the main story through the series Chris refers to the infiltration of Ethan and Mia’s house as yesterday but to us as the player it occurs over a various amount of days. Anyone know why.

Chris kidnapped Ethan and rose the day prior to the main game as Ethan goes through the entire village in the span of a day
If you read Ethan's journal entries, they start Feb. 9th and end in Feb. 10th. So like a day or so.
If you pay attention to the game, it's only 1 day from Chris taking to Rose and Ethan to the ending events of the game with the megamycete being destroyed.
Playing as chris was definitely the reward we deserved at the end 💪🏻🤍🤍
