This is a great example of brecciated Quartz that hosts disseminated Gold in the fine grain mass. These types of Gold deposits can be some of the richest that you will find and is something that Geologists are always looking for. Stockworks and swarms are also a great indicator and all are classified as Hydrothermal fissure filling vein structures. For more vids on this class of Geology , watch this video ua-cam.com/video/7Cw1OMU7ZyA/v-deo.html and smash that like button...smash it HARD !!!!

Great video Jeff!!- Is it possible for you to create an animated video in the future that shows the progression of exactly how a mine like this one is developed? I think it would be very educational and interesting to see how a gold mine goes from a discovery to sinking shafts, then how it progresses to the stoped works, adits, and moving the ore, waste rock, etc. I know it would be a huge undertaking, but certainly answer many questions many of us viewers have on exactly how and why miners developed the workings in the manner they did. Again, thanks for your awesome videos!

I've gone past this mine dump by the side of the road many times, and today, I stopped to see what they might have been after. It turned out that there was quite a large tailings pile below a cut into a gully coming down the side of the hill. About a hundred yards up the hill is a large outcrop of brecciated material. I did find some very vuggy pieces next to the cut as if they'd been stacked there. They are full of red and black material in between the shattered pieces. I grabbed some of the better-looking ones and will crush them up and pan them to see if there is any gold. I'm thinking from the material in the tailings pile, that they were digging into that hillside below the outcrop and running the material through some kind of sluice or dry washer. There must not have been much or there'd be a mine. But I think there was something there because they did a fair amount of work.

Would like to see more on the mineral side, rather then a mine exploration video. There are tons of guys doing those, and without the mineralogy, geology side, they are kind of lame. All we got on the east is silver & led. I found a outcrop way up. I worked it from top to bottom, left to right. It was all silver, Led, Galena..
So I pushed on! This was probably like 6 years ago. Im getting closer, I can feel it.. I so wish my full time job was treasure hunting/Gold mining & exploring 🙏🙏🙏
This has been my dream ever since I was a little boy..
I just wanna live man... For me its way more then just Gold I find! I Find God & experience things that are pure magic... It maybe the way the sun hits the rock a certain way while the smell of that cool air runs past your face and you realize your standing in God's creations🙏🙏🙏 Jesus said> Search & you WILL FIND!🙏
With that said I will continue to search & pursue the dreams the lord put in my heart!🙏🙏🙏
God Bless you Jeff & may you find the equivalent to Victoria Peak🏆🏅🏆🎖🏆

Meanwhile a large red worm of unknown origin surfaces in the lonely sump pit. Little do the humans know, they are just a few feet away from a major discovery. The worm smiles. My kingdom, oh you foolish mortals!

In hard rock mines are you concerned about poisonous gasses or low O2 levels?

Could some of these old mines be opened up as open pit mines using modern heavy earth moving equipment? Could they make money?
