  • Crushing and panning gold ore! This vuggy quartz veins is very deteriorated and contains gold, magnetite, pyrite, chalcopyrite in the quartz. We find gold from crushing and panning for gold in two portions of the quartz vein. Lets see how gold rich this gold deposit is!

    I'll bet that crushing this ore down to a fine powder in a ball mill and then sending it across a shaker table would release some good gold values . I'd watch that video for sure !

    This is all much easier in the summer , your winter activities charge up my spirit

    On that quartz that look like clay u should squeeze into a ball then put it in bom fire. It will turn into soid stone or rock th e n crush it and u will see your gold better. After that pan it and u could see your gold bigger

    Very interesting and informative! I wonder what dynamics cause very hard quartz to decompose to clays over so few linear feet

    So this might be an obvious answer to a dismal question but here it goes. So would using a acid process " leeching" pull more gold out of the material?more so than just crushing and panning? I'm sure different material calls for different processes. Just curious in this instant. Thanks for the info and great videos.

    Your manual crusher is 0k but your plunger needs to be upgraded to a 4 foot 2" pounding round bar,with one end ground off at a 60° angle,makes a great pry bar!
    I had welding shop make me one for 80 bux,and I said make the foot wide cuz, I've got big feet,so he did,and he even threw in the bar!
    I will say lugging a heavy bar around can be tiresome.
    You could also have 4 feet of steel tube with a 1 foot long 2 inch round bar welded to it.
    I also used my bar as rock detector for area of ground covered in moss,just thump the ground,if it pings,you've hit hard rock,or use a metal detector after that!

    So that’s how it gets into th streams and rivers, quartz gets exposed, breaks down, gossan state ,,is that what gossan is, gets washed out in a flood of rain , down the hill into the creek.

    How well does decomposed quartz hold on to gold? Will the gold have already leached out or will it hold it?

    • @911mining
      @911mining  3 роки тому +3

      What will usually happen is whatever unstable sulfides are holding gold will change composition and the gold will often stay behind inside the vuggy areas of the rock. Gold is stable and won't deteriorate so it will stay in place. If we wanted to get about 5 times what we saw you would need to process it better with crushing way finer. If we had a vein with the gold in the sulfide minerals and the sulfides were in place it would be a lot harder to process.

    Is there gold in the loose material that has already deteriorated in the soil at the toe of the slope? Has that ground been already worked for gold?

    • @DeliciousDeBlair
      @DeliciousDeBlair 3 роки тому

      Yeah, the foot of that outcrop is where the most and easiest float gold will be.
      But of course, if you are prospecting the VEIN as a LODE deposit, instead of a placer deposit, you will be more focused on the values ABOVE that potentially rich deposit of sedimented gold. ~( 'w')/
