Jeff I don't know what that pipe is I have seen them in washes
Hey buddy, I'm inviting you to come to my neck of the woods to find were the gold is! We got a get together in August 23-24 people from all over country come.
The pipe is for ventilating .
@@davidshupe5405 thanks for the invite , really appreciate that
Have you ever noticed that the 1,3,7,21 "magic numbers" are not too far off the Fibonacci sequence 1,2,3,5,8,13,21,34...
Jeff , I think the pipe sticking out of the ground would be for putting a umbrella in it so your lovely wife wont get burnt in the hot desert sun , you are very thoughtful Jeff ! Cheer's .
i think you should sit on it
It's good that you're repeating important prospecting information, because some people are new and some, like me, forget.
exactly
Exactly exactly
Exactly I totally agree with you.
@@roko5569I like the jeep. It gets you where the good stuff is.
Me & My wife are doing the prospecting in southern Oregon because of U so Lets Go!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
thats what we love to hear ....Congrats my brother
Ive heard the streams in Oregon are beautiful for gold hunting.
Your videos never get old. Not even the repeats.
thanks
Another Fiiine lesson. Thanks Jeff. Thanks camera lady.
What a morning. First I watched the Giants hit a grand slam to beat the Mets. Then Mr and Mrs Quail brought their little ones over to see me. Then, to top it off, I get a Jeff Williams video. Sat mornings don't get any better than that.
That's a ventilation pipe sticking out of the ground. Always a ton of useful mining information, thanks for sharing Lila and Jeff. ;o)

You can take the boy out of Minnesota, but you can't take the Minnesota out of the boy. Youuuu betchaaaaa. Greetings from the miserable limestone wasteland of NW Ohio. @Askjeffwilliams
Good to know. Thanks Jeff and Lila 😊

Jeff: I have said it before: OUTSTANDING!
thanks
it's are favorite Gold Miner,, prospector and geologist Jeff Williams. thank you brother.

Every mining Company would hire you with an handkiss. Fantastic knowledge here.
thanks
Great education. Thank you.
Thank you Jeff. I am a subscriber and a new Patreon member. I live near the Superstition Mountains and the Goldfield Mountains. I may never look for gold but i really appreciate you explaining the basics for someone new like me.
All the best to you and your family.
Norm in Arizona
welcome aboard my brother and thanks for the support ..... you are in a really good place Norm and let us know on the Patreon site if you have questions
These are my favorites of your videos - when you're prospecting real time. I learn so much from each one. I'd love to be able to look down, pick up any rock, and name it in a millisecond. I really like it when you pause and put the spelling in the frame. Thanks for sharing your knowledge - much appreciated.
That's the first thing my grandfather taught me, many mine openings will have a snake or two hanging around (Poisonous and Non-Poisonous) the entrance...lots of rodents hanging around...easy food
bingo ....perfect food chain
Hummmm ...hate snakes
I always love hearing when you talk about Liberty! I live less than 15 min away and that place has lit a fire for geology in me like nothing else! Love your videos Jeff and all the great advice you so generously share! Keep up the good work and God bless!
great area and thanks , really glad to hear that
On my way back to gold canyon NV today. And then onto wonder valley CA next month. Your info is second to none Jeff Williams Thank you. Having fun the right way.
Thank you for sharing another wonderful video!
It's good to repeat the important gold geology videos for those of us without much training. It reinforces the important points. I watched this before but this time I picked up a lot more info because now I know more about the various rock types and processes.
exactly and thats what we want t hear
Yes, very worth a review.
It’s so easy to just go off chasing whatever you can see instead of stepping back for a moment and considering what you ought to be doing.
Another great video Jeff! Keep it alive, and find that shiny!!
Those numbers are correct I've proven it in my own area thanks for the information Jeff
you betcha John
Love alI the lessons i always enjoy watching field research even as many times as i seen them there's something missed good lesson professor ty
Regarding the pipe in the beginning, isn't it a marker for a shaft that has been filled in.?
Always learn something from your videos. Thank you. 🧙♂️

Jeff, I hope you don't mind but I ran across a channel that's not getting very much love. It's called "Old Lost Mines" and gives the history of mining towns and the mines themselves that were all over the west. I hope you don't mind the plug but history like this needs to be shared before it is lost. Thank you for the great video.
thanks we will check it out
All your videos are absolutely informative ‼️‼️🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸
That was the best description of density and displacement ive seen yet !
Good stuff right there.
thanks
Jeff you keep telling about the numbers, show your friends and other just how your number are what you claim to be!❤

Oh Jeff when you were panning I was worried , it looked like you were going to set on that old bolt. That looked like a fair amount of gold out of that Tertiary Layer. I would like to spend some time there.
1,3,7,&21 Thanks for sharing with us Jeff 🤠 God Bless 🙏
Jeff always with the best guidance, the best advice. And it's a family affair.
Thank you my friend hope all is well be safe 🙏
In the Sierra my first guess would have been an andesitic mudflow. In the Mehrten fm you can find huge blocks of older mudflows carried along as giant boulders in the younger mudflows containing them.
With all this amazing geology you're always sharing. I hope people can keep their pants on! Keep up the great work!
I know...right
Holy Smoke Jeff I got too Wet on this one, especially when i saw all that Shiny in the pan you took from that Tertiary flow ....that was pretty insane from one quick pan !! I need to get over to your side of the pond before I die and hand in my bones to my Keeper !
Thanks for the great info! Ya you’re a great spot for geology and prospecting information. Love the channel. I have been watching for a long time and will continue to watch the new stuff. Thanks for sharing.
Thanks 👍
Out bushwalking the other day.

Good morning Jeff & Lila and of course Slim! Yeehaw! So c'mon lets go!
Yup, you got to keep your eyes peeled for them rattlesnakes and claim jumpers!
good morning
Good morning from Southeast South Dakota Jeff
Good morning SWM
Jeff, when you classify rocks do you ever take a gold detector or gold wand over the discarded rock in case there might be some gold locked up in those rocks?
if the area has been known for specimens ..yes
Hi, in that first pan with some tiny gold specs, can you estimate the gold/ton of the sample?
Always a great show thank you xoxo
Glad you enjoyed it
I thought for sure you were going to sit on that bolt at 12:43. 😂 Great video sir.
hahhhahaa I know...right
Just curious Jeff... You mention going to the end of a tailings pile to check the gold content... Would the end be where the totals would have dropped off so they decided to end the digging?? Wouldn't it be best to check between 1/2 way and 3/4's to find the best samples?? JMO
the end of each does not always mean the very end of the mining cycle ....it could be a continuation from another waster pile run
Thanks Jeff.
Very informative information.
Classroom in the desert!.
Have a great weekend. 👍
you betcha
Great information. Blessings
Glad it was helpful!
Good morning Jeff.
Good morning
Thanks mate 👍
No problem 👍
That beautiful critter in the beginning would make me an excellent hatband! Talk about a great find!
Great show Jeff, loved it
Really enjoyed this one thanks Jeff.
Glad you enjoyed it
Good Morning Jeff 🤠⛏️ ☀️

Thank you for this highly educational video!!!
Glad you enjoyed it!
That pipe sticking out of the ground that is where you drop your lit sticks of dynamite. Just ask Slim.😂😂😂
They won’t need to breath anyway after you drop down there gift.
Cheers, bro awesome video💯💯💯🔥🔥🔥🔥
Appreciate it
Jeff... we need to talk... after two years or so of watching you and all the rest of experts I have come to the conclusion that you are the most acknowledged ! There's a place in the world I know there's what you are looking for... let's do it >>>
sounds like an adventure
@@Askjeffwilliams How can we talk ?
What is the blue grey under the river rockthat sits upon the grey material and some is white I also found a 3' circle of very loose material that looks like lime quartz float and green period looking material
Hey Jeff, at 08:57 you were going to say how far the mountains were but you edited that out. How far were those mountains?
next video
@@Askjeffwilliams Oh okay, thanks.
I would have never seen that snake😮good video with geology teachings ❤
Once again....awesome video!
Thanks again!
"AU" let's go 👍
Are there any close towns near the area your talking about.
yes
I'm planning on a trip going to have atv . I would greatly appreciate any suggestions on a ateneray. That would make an adventure of a life time. Would you please advise.
@@Askjeffwilliams LMFAO I knew that was coming!
My best guess is that the pipe was installed by prospectors for ventilation in one of their mines or tunnels. Seems too obvious I know. My second guess is that it has to do with communicating to someone topside, and my third guess is that it's an emergency oxygen or water lifeline, or even a way of piping water or pay dirt to the surface from below.
Hi Jeff at 3:44 in the video, I was wondering if you ever metal detect those, I'm thinking for myself that I definitely would have? I was just curious. :) Great Videos, Totally love them :).
yes we do
Amazing very good
Read an interesting article relating to sulfides, it basically noted a PHD was awarded to a masters candidate in South Africa when the found that 80% of the gold was left in the tailings due to being in the sulfides so the -CN didn't extract. given The prevalence of sulfides and the difficulty in extracting there could be a lot of gold in the old dumps and tailings... AZ geology is interesting a study showed the porphyry Cu deposits were concentrated due to the action of water as AZ was never glaciated.
I feel that copper smelt pours and splatters are very rich in other metals
Jeff could you do one on like chemical contamination toxic sites?
Didnt some use dangerous chemicals to work the gold?
If so?
How do we know what to look for?
And how to avoid it?
Thanks jeff
Nice to see some of the old stuff again,, just an old MSHA guy
you know it huh .....just a young MSHA kid
Well casing. For smpling. Just water. Or core sample site.
Or dropping in utilities.
btw … those ‘magic numbers’ (the Fibonacci Sequence) show up all through nature and even in the price actions of stock and currency trading charts.
It’s amazing
sacred Geometry
I know I should have it down pat but with life moving as fast as it does I sometimes forget that's why I save all your videos I learn as I go I'm not a rich man but you show me that anybody that cares enough to learn can better them selves good luck
Morning guys and gals .thanks jeff
good morning
Hey Jeff hav you ever tried your hydro flow dynamics table with Mercury I think it would be interesting to see how the Mercury moves down the river and behaves in floods does it stick to the bottom or get washed up into the flow. 👍🏴⚒️
great idea as there is still Mercury catching Gold in rivers and creeks
@Askjeffwilliams ye bud iv recently found a bit of Mercury in one of my best areas where iv been mining for a while and never seen this before. Would be cool to see how it works. 👍⚒️🏴
Hey jeff... I never see your cards. Are you adding them when you up load your videos?
we will get that loaded
That pipe coming out of the ground's marking and old mindshaft
I watched u going down on ropes in that mine .Looking over the edge thats dangerous homes really wow
Diabase, basalt. My city Edinburgh sits on it.
Oooh thats some dense hard rock. We have a dark green one that occurs alongside it, chlorite i think interspersed with bright red and yellow stuff, jasper looking gear.
Still havent found gold but lots of iron staining and manganese in the veinlets of Arthurs seat. Its a great place for general geology.
keep at it ....you will
Pipe is old drill hole casing?
WOW very cool so much geological history in Arizona. What would be the approximate location of such and area?
It's a underground mine vent pipe Jeff 😲 👍♥️
Mr. Jeff! Ever been to the Morenci mine??
sounds familiar
Is that CafeMocharite at the end of the timber?
thanks for sharing
My pleasure
Vent pipe I think? I wish you could visit near sw Colorado to a property
Worth waiting for your finally and the magic numbers but,
I sort of feel safer when your underground.
Thank you, for explaining our big rock with such detail.
Dude you just made my day.
love the hear that
Hey Jeff, has there ever been any gold associated with cinnabar formations? Is cinnabar made from hydrothermal fluids as well?
yes
@@Askjeffwilliams Thanks! Where does the gold tend to occur in a cinnabar formation? Does it amalgam with the Mercury, or does it precipitate out at the contact zones? My grandfather was involved with a Cinnabar mine "Socrates Mine" here in Sonoma County... the story is they had ore so rich pure liquid mercury would pour out of some of the seams when they would open them up with a pick. I'm thinking of checking out the old digs. Not too keen on processing cinnabar tailings though... any suggestions?
Those secret numbers hold true in certain instances. I google Earth a few spots and there are a few clues, espcially around Gold Field, Tonopah, and Pioche.... I was at the Techatticup yesterday, and even though there was extrusive formations with Rhyolite, volcanic ash, and Andesite everywhere, I couldn't identify a volcanic cap to reference. My guess it has long since disappeared ? Thanks for another great video ! Safe travels Brother.....
exactly my brother ...... yes it has .... a lot of very interesting History at that mine ...we use to explore it as kids when the Harvey's owned and managed it back in the early 80s
@@Askjeffwilliams I use to know the elevator operator, Virgil Poole, before he passed away back in the mid 90's. He lived behind Pop's Oasis and kin to Peter Simon....
@@allansgoldmining wow ....that takes me back ....Pops Oasis out at Jean ....good times
@@Askjeffwilliams Yes Sir, back in the good old days !
Yeah really good!
U no what this is a old episode cheers Jeff😂
Ash Flow Tuff, my favorite country music band!
Dude, great content on how to get that shiny! But watch out for them bad burritos, they'll give you the green schist! Lol, thank you sir
hahahahahaha
Years ago, and I mean like 50, when I didn't know any better I started walking into a portal of a mine near Virginia City and as I got in and the sun light started fading, the mine split into two directions. So I stopped for a sec let my eyes adjust and it's a good thing I didn't step to the right because suddenly that direction dropped straight down. Learned a valuable lesson there.lol. Go up there nowadays and you couldn't even find that portal since nature took over that area.
I'm totally unfamiliar with this stuff, but I'm trying to learn, even though I will probably never get a chance to use this knowledge.
10,000psi, the most iv used is 4,000 psi. That's powerful Jeff ⛏️
is there any gold in it on all the roks
Love it. I wish we had these lessons in 77. Oh the gold I walked right over. Question. Hammering out host rock. Bringing samples home. Even a rude hammer and metal bowl. Break it up to get a good sample. I know you got all the equipment. But you had a rock hammer. Just saying. Your in beautiful host rock. Lol prospectors heaven. 😂❤❤❤❤
I know...right ....so much Gold back in the day just sitting there ..... thanks my brother
