thanks man. pretty good list. i really like how you stress the rust/uni body. i have looked at a few with some upgrades to suspension. but rusty. i passed. i am being picky. this vid is along the lines of my thinking. thanks again
Hey Ron idk if your gonna read this but I'm having some issues 4.0 96 it started about a week ago when I'm at 1/4 tank she doesn't run right it surges a little and misses a little engine performance is mediocre but after a little while it disappears. Narrowed it down to a few possibilities fuel pump ignition coil map sensors fuel injectors(I believe there stock) or dirty throttle body. Luv your channel
I want to get to 400k range as well w my wk rolled her off dealership back in 09 w 19k jgc 07 she just hit 181K recently and I’ve done maintenance religiously since then like new cat, radiator, water pump, alternator, just to mame a few. She still drives amazing bone stock, someday I will start upgrading her up like lift, big tires etc hope I make it to 400K like yours!
I had to scroll down to the comment section because there is too much distraction for me in the background I couldn't focus on what you are saying. nice collection of guitars dude. I'm planning to check a few jeeps after the corona thing is over.
Great video. I have an opportunity to get a ‘98 automatic for $600 from a coworker and he said the only issues it has is the exhaust manifold, oil leak/s, and he thinks the power steering reservoir and lines need to be replaced. Plus it’ll need tires, which I can wait on. One of the main things I need to look out for are structural rust damage and making sure the tranny isn’t bad. His son had it for a year and dogged it out but his wife was driving it before then and it was pretty great back then according to him.
@@EstaDePiPi I ended up purchasing it in October. As I was made aware of by my coworkers who knew how it was treated by the PO’s son, it certainly needs a lot of work to be all fixed up, proper and safe. Leaf springs are pretty bad, on the passenger’s side it’s hanging on by two instead of four on one side of the axle. It needs a front and rear end rebuild then most of the issues it has left after that that I haven’t fixed yet are more time than money. There’s also a chance it has a blown head gasket (or cracked head/cracked blocks) because after I replaced the leaking radiator, the coolant level eventually started wanting to rise and it has a sheen - coolant isn’t perfect but I’m still afraid that it might be oil and a combustion leak.
For someone not mechanically inclined follow this guide he is pretty much on the point now for ones who know what a torque converter is there 500 bucks and really good vehicles yes they will break so will brand new vehicles only difference is cost me 500 bucks not 30k
Did you buy it? I also have a 2000. I'm replacing lots of stuff in it but still cheaper than scrapping it and buying another beater that may be someone else's headache. They are one of the funnest rigs to drive too so its hard to part with it.
@jessekuchinski1172 I did! I absolutely love it. It's got its quirks.. I can't seem to get away from this heat soak thing. I'll be driving and it starts bucking and shuts off and wont re start.., and the motor feels hot but the guage doesn't read hot. If I wait like 10min it fires right up. I'm gunna try doing thermostats and waterpumo and hood vents... It's got rott in the rockers but I don't care about that. I've taken it wheeling a handful of times so far and it IS a blast I love it
PAY 3X THE FAIR MARKET VALUE FOR SOMETHING THAT IS MADE TO BE WORKED ON AS IT HAS 222000+++++ MILES ON IT SO IT WILL TAKE AT LEAST $1000... $2000 WORTH OF WORK TO GET IT TO BE MAYBE MAYBE MAYBE GET U TO THE NEXT TOWN OVER WITHOUT IT BEING ON A TOW TRUCK FLATBED FOR $500.
I had a few cherokees in the past 15 years or so.
This is the best video about buying one, what to look for. 👌
Why the music? Very confusing listening to you when the music playing
