I'm wondering if that's because it's a solid axle? Does the power wagon have a front skid plate? My 96 Land Cruiser doesn't have a front plate but it's also over 20 years old. From memory all the trucks with the front plates are IFS I think.
If you adjust older vehicles for inflation, the cost really hasn't changed much, and you get a lot more bang for your buck nowadays. That said, the Federal Reserve is gouging us and laughing all the way to the bank.

Sounds like the Tremor is little more than FX4 version 2.0 (doesn't feel special) versus the offroad centric power wagon (feels special). Though I applaud the Tremor's balance that can satisfy offroading and still commit to being a heavy duty truck with diesel option. Where Dodge threw all it's offroad goodies into ram, but turned it into a 1/2 ton truck.
Me as well. That's what I want. Brother bought a "new" 2018 6.7l diesel. The oil change is $140 bucks, and the fuel mileage average (not towing anything) is 14mpg. Used to average 14mpg towing with his 5.0l F150. Diesels are for the 1 percent of heavy duty light truck buyers that need to tow 20k+ lbs all the time, and the other 99 percent who have too much money to burn .
Another off road appearance package to show off at the grocery store parking lot, and the Ford Pass app will be super handy to schedule all the repair visits!
The Lariat Sport package is really a 5k appearance pkg. I wish the body color bumpers and black grill were available without the leather. Or as mentioned, give it a tremor specfic interior if its gonna be a high dollar option
The Tremor package is $3975. Ford just giving folks an easy way to finance tires/wheels and lift in the payment instead of losing it to after market. As others have said one can get an XLT Tremor near 54000.
Ted Night they all have plastic interiors, pretty much all cars including most luxury cars with some exceptions.... I see a lot of people are saying the new ram is better...it has a big touch screen but that doesn't matter when you are towing. A lot of people don't know what a truck is for and want features that are irrelevant, yes they are expensive, but I know that they are good trucks better than the other brands, and yes I have tested the others I don't just go by reviews, I gave the trucks a fair test and ford came on top, does the ram interior looks nicer? Yes, but the truck felt gutless when towing and acceleration sucked, Chevy felt really dated and cramped, im a tall guy at 6'5" I was touching the roof, not a comfortable way to drive, also gutless and it almost scrapped the bumper when loading it..clunky transmission..after all that ford did better, not extremely but it did better, so until the others improve, I will keep buying ford.
Eh I get it, but in some trucks I like the hard plastics, cant tell you how many times I've scraped the inside door with muddy boots or some tools or something I was putting in the truck. And it's not just the inside of the door, it's on the center console as well, as far as scraping things. I would rather scrape hard plastics than some nice soft interior. A nice Alcantara interior wont win my mind on an 80k truck anyways, the payment will still suck even if the truck was ferrari level interior and build quality. I can go buy a 2013 corvette zr1 for 20grand less than that. Hell of a lot more fun and easier to park lol. Less on maintenance.

A average pickup is 40 000$ A average 250 is 55 0000$ So you go and buy a older truck and put 10 000$ on it you can have a super offroad rig for less then 25 000$

Considering this package is 4000, I was expecting more than a front LSD, some shocks and tires. Kinda not worth it. Power Wagon is still the winner in my book, and that's coming from a Ford guy.
I don't know why Ford didn't just make this a whole trim like the Power Wagon. They should of partnered with Carli for full 2.5" Pintop suspension. Add in some heavy duty axles with rear and front lockers, HD Hardcore T-case like the Power Wagon has, similar interior to the Raptor, full skid plates, Raptor bumpers with a stock front Wench..etc That would of been a truck worth the money their asking.

Wow, nice video. I'm a Ram guy, but that is a sexy powerful truck with cool features. I'm thinking... aftermarket winch bumper on front, manual disconnecting bar, and skid plate or two and it would probably do what my PW can do, except for that rear approach appears i bit longer than mine. Hmm, interesting. Another bad would just have to be it's a ton more money but man that power would be cool to have with the way i work and trailer tow with my trucks. Love the videos you guys do! All this Ford is, is a lifted SD. The Power wagon has front and rear lockers, a winch, and a sway bar disconnect. No comparison PW wins in the off-road category. I have owned a PW and a SD.

Those Tremor shocks aren't labeled as Fox or King because they aren't made by a company like Fox or King. Nope, they're plain old Tenneco shocks with "Tremor" stickers on them.
I dont think this needs the diesel, so saves 11k. I would add adaptive cruise though for $1500. Does the tremor package not come with the front grill and trim blacked out already?? If not, that’s really disappointing to have to add yet another “black pack” or whatever he said when the tremor pack is already so much.

The hub locks have nothing to do with 4wd knob inside.. they lock the front axel like the elocker for the rear. so essentially this has front and rear lockers
Did they change the GVWR on the 250? You have almost 3000lbs of payload and the highest previous GVWR in a 250 was 10,000lbs that means that truck weighs just over 7,000lbs. My 17 250 Lariat ultimate has a GVWR or 9900 and a payload of 1886 which means it weighs 8,014lbs. Very interesting.
King ranch , platinum and the elusive Limited if you wanted more options. I have never seen a Lariat with that much lack for interior before. Still a beaut and valuable considering the other two comparable options are priced the same.
If I was rich I'd buy a gas king ranch put on 40s a 6" lift, take off those power steps add rock sliders and move that spare tire to the bed then go crawl that beast
2020 F250 Supercrew XLT 4X4: $45K TREMOR package: $4k-5K Diesel option: $10K Other added options: $$$ Even building a lower trim, the truck gets crazy expensive with the diesel. Unless you plan on living in it (more or less), dont get a diesel.
Some of these features were on the 2019 superduty... Under seat storage, front camera washer, and when you do a build on the Ford.com website you can't get folding deployable running board when you choose the Tremor Package. Also, when you do a build on the website, it does come with skid plates.
Bradley Beyer this truck should’ve been a hi-boy. It’s definitely not an appearance package. It puts everything a rancher, farmer or gas field worker truly needs. It’s more practical for work use. All of the upgrades have also retained its full towing capacity. If you look at Carli which has been brought up, it lowers the hauling capacity of the vehicle. So with increased traction, ground clearance and water fording it is absolutely not an appearance package. As for a contender to the power wagon, Ford added some features just to put them in the same conversation but since most people don’t rock crawl and you just compare practical capabilities that will be used regularly then the tremor is definitely a contender.
The price is insane for this truck. I just configured a lariat tremor f250 on the Ford website and it was 73k. It looks really cool, I'll give them that. Some of it though, the exposed oil filter, then the wire harness just dangling there right behind the air dam? Meh, I'll pass on this.
Make sure your tremor comes with the comfort package (optional) otherwise you don’t get the seat heat/cool or multi function seating or steering wheel heat. Big mistake. Ford should add it automatically at this price.

A lift block lift on the rear axle?!!?!? That's what the $500 lift kit on my Blazer had in the 80's. For 80K they should have made special springs. 1050 pounds of torque and a lift block seems like a recipe for axle hop. Please lock that rear axle and test it in the sand.

RAM right now will sell you a really tough 4x4 heavy duty pickup for the price of an entry level Toyota Corolla. YOU CAN'T BEAT THAT!!
Don't find the price astronomical, in a world where people are paying $60k for an Explorer (van), and $70k for small German sedans, $80k for a full load Super Duty seems decent. Just means your truck wont depreciate as quickly if the new prices keep rising.

I once had a 2001 Nissan Suv. "pull LEVER back" that was it, didn't matter if you were driving, or stopped or neutral. It didn't even matter if it had a battery in under the hood. Purely mechanical. And the lever had a real nice feel to it too... I really miss that.

Power Wagon is the Rubicon of HD trucks, while this is just a FX4/ Appearance package with some extra electronic goodies and a basic lift/suspension with 35s. The Raptor is a lite Baja truck made for Desert Running, it's not really good for Rock-crawling as TFL showed.
I'm glad I paid 55K for my '18 F250 PS... I got the XLT with every available option, only missing lane maintain and adaptive cruise. Not interested in sunroof, or A/C seats... heated is enough, and I prefer cloth over leather anyway. The 7-camera setup is awesome btw.

Seems a little overpriced for a lift and bigger tires, plus noticed I noticed that some of the moving items in the cab seemed cheap like the cup holders in the back seat and the top glovebox struggled to open (maybe because it’s an early production model) One advantage it has over the Power Wagon is the Diesel

Wow, nice video. I'm a Ram guy, but that is a sexy powerful truck with cool features. I'm thinking... aftermarket winch bumper on front, manual disconnecting bar, and skid plate or two and it would probably do what my PW can do, except for that rear approach appears i bit longer than mine. Hmm, interesting. Another bad would just have to be it's a ton more money but man that power would be cool to have with the way i work and trailer tow with my trucks. Still, I really can't see paying that much for a play truck and then go crashing those low hung rear shocks, Amp steps, and PowerStroke oil pan lol. Hmmm, dang. "Program is not responding. Force stop or wait?" Lol

Love the videos you guys do! All this Ford is, is a lifted SD. The Power wagon has front and rear lockers, a winch, and a sway bar disconnect. No comparison PW wins in the off-road category.

Red stitching is great. But I personally cant stand embroidered seats when they say Rebel, High Country, etc

Those Tremor shocks aren't labeled as Fox or King because they aren't made by a company like Fox or King. Nope, they're plain old Tenneco shocks with "Tremor" stickers on them.
I dont think this needs the diesel, so saves 11k. I would add adaptive cruise though for $1500. Does the tremor package not come with the front grill and trim blacked out already?? If not, that’s really disappointing to have to add yet another “black pack” or whatever he said when the tremor pack is already so much.

The hub locks have nothing to do with 4wd knob inside.. they lock the front axel like the elocker for the rear. so essentially this has front and rear lockers

Did they change the GVWR on the 250? You have almost 3000lbs of payload and the highest previous GVWR in a 250 was 10,000lbs that means that truck weighs just over 7,000lbs. My 17 250 Lariat ultimate has a GVWR or 9900 and a payload of 1886 which means it weighs 8,014lbs. Very interesting.
King ranch , platinum and the elusive Limited if you wanted more options. I have never seen a Lariat with that much lack for interior before. Still a beaut and valuable considering the other two comparable options are priced the same.

With all the cameras they are putting on these pickups it would be nice if they'd set it up for them to record in case of an accident

Even building a lower trim, the truck gets crazy expensive with the diesel. Unless you plan on living in it (more or less), dont get a diesel.

Some of these features were on the 2019 superduty... Under seat storage, front camera washer, and when you do a build on the Ford.com website you can't get folding deployable running board when you choose the Tremor Package. Also, when you do a build on the website, it does come with skid plates.
Since it has a block and space lift, I’d say this truck is an appearance package more than a contender to the power wagon. Change my mind.
Bradley Beyer this truck should’ve been a hi-boy. It’s definitely not an appearance package. It puts everything a rancher, farmer or gas field worker truly needs. It’s more practical for work use. All of the upgrades have also retained its full towing capacity.
If you look at Carli which has been brought up, it lowers the hauling capacity of the vehicle.
So with increased traction, ground clearance and water fording it is absolutely not an appearance package.
As for a contender to the power wagon, Ford added some features just to put them in the same conversation but since most people don’t rock crawl and you just compare practical capabilities that will be used regularly then the tremor is definitely a contender.

The price is insane for this truck. I just configured a lariat tremor f250 on the Ford website and it was 73k. It looks really cool, I'll give them that. Some of it though, the exposed oil filter, then the wire harness just dangling there right behind the air dam? Meh, I'll pass on this.

Make sure your tremor comes with the comfort package (optional) otherwise you don’t get the seat heat/cool or multi function seating or steering wheel heat. Big mistake. Ford should add it automatically at this price.

A lift block lift on the rear axle?!!?!? That's what the $500 lift kit on my Blazer had in the 80's. For 80K they should have made special springs. 1050 pounds of torque and a lift block seems like a recipe for axle hop. Please lock that rear axle and test it in the sand.

i am a RAM guy and just purchased a new 2019 RAM 1500 Classic 4x4 5.7 Hemi short bed, regular cab at a really amazing price ($32k). RAM's "employee pricing" right now till early December is coming in at just insane bargains for what you can get. right now you can get a loaded RAM 2500/3500 Tradesman/Long Horn gas 4x4 pickup for around $38k and a Cummings Diesel for around $42k. there is NOTHING that Ford or GM/GMC offers currently that even comes close to what you can get in a RAM with the current discounts. if you are in the market for a pickup, NOW is the time to take a serious look at what RAM is offering. RAM right now will sell you a really tough 4x4 heavy duty pickup for the price of an entry level Toyota Corolla. YOU CAN'T BEAT THAT!!

Don't find the price astronomical, in a world where people are paying $60k for an Explorer (van), and $70k for small German sedans, $80k for a full load Super Duty seems decent. Just means your truck wont depreciate as quickly if the new prices keep rising.

They started running 7.3's last week in regular trucks. The week before they started running 7.3's in only chassis cabs.

I once had a 2001 Nissan Suv. "pull LEVER back" that was it, didn't matter if you were driving, or stopped or neutral. It didn't even matter if it had a battery in under the hood. Purely mechanical. And the lever had a real nice feel to it too... I really miss that.

Don't hold the step down with your foot. Use the menu. There are 3 selections, Auto, Off, or Out. Select Out to lock the steps down.

@@Legend....... That's basically what the OP meant. Power Wagon is the Rubicon of HD trucks, while this is just a FX4/ Appearance package with some extra electronic goodies and a basic lift/suspension with 35s.
The Raptor is a lite Baja truck made for Desert Running, it's not really good for Rock-crawling as TFL showed.

I'm glad I paid 55K for my '18 F250 PS... I got the XLT with every available option, only missing lane maintain and adaptive cruise. Not interested in sunroof, or A/C seats... heated is enough, and I prefer cloth over leather anyway. The 7-camera setup is awesome btw.
Ford, chevy, dodge, nissan all coming out with new options, packages, engines and chassis. Toyota slaps on a snorkel, stickers and different colour and says "yup I think this will make our customers happy." Come on Toyota, get up to date with your vehicles!!
Seems a little overpriced for a lift and bigger tires, plus noticed I noticed that some of the moving items in the cab seemed cheap like the cup holders in the back seat and the top glovebox struggled to open (maybe because it’s an early production model) One advantage it has over the Power Wagon is the Diesel
I don't care for where the spare tire is.I once owned a Ranger with that feature.I live in the snowbelt,and mine was rusted solid in place.The only way to remove it was with a cutting torch!
