Bought one back in April. Got a huge deal on it, in all the initial COVID panic. Switched over from Chevy. I will say that Chevy makes a more comfortable truck, so if you are after a comfy truck, Chevy is more your speed. The Tremor is comfy enough for me, and is unstoppable off road. It tractors through everything I put in front of it. Even my buddy’s Raptor has trouble clearing things my Tremor makes light work of. When he is scraping frame rails and tailpipes, my Tremor just breezes through. I have the 7.3 gasser, and it runs strong. Plenty of power. Sure, it isn’t a Prius when it comes to gas mileage, but I have a 07 Honda Accord and a Honda XR650 to commute with. And the Accord doesn’t make me smile nearly as much as the Tremor does. The XR 650? That is another story. But life is too short to always be worried about gas mileage.
I like how as I am watching this video, a Chevrolet commercial claiming, “The Silverado is the best truck”, right after how the video states the tremor leads the competition in like three different categories.
I've been a Ford fan my whole life and that new gasser V8 is awesome but the power stroke has my heart, I still have my 2006 6.0 that has 367k miles on it and still runs like a damn tank.
I've had my F-350 Lariat Tremor for about a month now, and it is definitely a beast of a truck. I went with the 7.3 to save on payload (not to mention $$) and drop some weight on the front end. In my case I have just shy of 3,800 lbs of payload because I opted for the dual battery/397 Amp alternators (and a couple other features that added a bit of weight). Overall, I don't think you will find a heavy duty truck with the all around capability that these new Tremors bring to the table - I'm loving mine!
Dude I got 16MPG highway in a 7.3L 445CI engine in a 6,000 lb truck. Our damn 2004 jeep liberty barely got 20 mpg highway. This thing is great on gas for what it is and what its in
2016 F150 3.5 ecoboost Larriot 4x4 now, hitting 100,000 trouble free miles so far. Next truck will definitely be a 7.3 F350. Probably will opt for the Tremor. Kick butt truck! Keep up the great reviews!
I really want the 6.7L but the 7.3L is growing on me. Just need to drive both off road and around town/hwy to really seal the deal. Mpg and reliability is a must too.
Can't wait to get one in the shop. Nice to see a push rod engine from Ford. The modulars and the overcomplicated timing chains just don't cut it for long term use in gas engines. I hope they can keep oil pressure up and spark plugs from blowing out of the heads.
I have a 2020 4x4 with the 7.3 and a 3.55 and 35’s (no lift) and I think you need to drive it in tow haul if you looking for gear banging. Regular mode it will skip gears to save fuel. And I do get about 18 on the highway. The real advantage of the 10spd is when you hook up a trailer and turn on tow haul. It is literally a diff animal. It toes very very well.
Woah! This is one BAD truck (in a good way 😅)!!! It has a mean presence and absolutely wild capabilities. 😯 You did an excellent job reviewing this BEAST! Super informative and super high-quality. I love every second of it. Well done, Nolan! Keep up the impeccable work!!! 👏🏽
Have that exact truck. Except i got the center console safe. Put a 8 inch light bar in the bumper and a widow maker exhaust to take care of that quite problem. Definitely not a fast truck. But i absolutely love this truck. This is definitely my forever truck, never selling it, never trading it in. I will paint it and put new drive train in it if i need to. Maybe eventually I'll chop the top, slam it down, if i get to old to climb up into it.
Other things to remember: it also has ford pass connect available on all trim levels. This allows remote start and wifi for up to 10 devices, at an affordable 20/mo through AT&T.
Also didn't hear a mention of the rock crawl drive mode that is specific to the tremor for the super duty line that allows for a lower gear range while in 4L. This will help when trying to crawl over rocks and other obstacles
I didnt know about that, and it sounds cool. But Im hard pressed to imagine somebody paying 3/4 of $100,000 for a truck is gonna be hard of cash for a phone bill
Got 29,000 miles on my 20 f250 tremor 7.3. Everything has been great. I have 1 warranty claim for the GPS failing. Its the largest truck on the market and has a nasty stance stock. Its 1" larger bumper to bumper, nose to nose than my 08 F150 w/ 6" lift and 35s. And its STOCK! And that 7.3 really is some thing special. If you appreciate good old fashioned hot rod builds that 7.3 will wet any hot rodders whistle. In this day and age thats really some thing

I picked up a factory ordered 2020 lariat F150 last year on a 2 year lease, was liking the new 2021 F150s but I dunno I am seriously considering going up to the F250 just to get the tremor package. It looks amazing and better than the F150 redesign. I agree, the 10spd on the ford trucks are a big downer.

This is the best review of the F-350 Tremor with the 7.3l on the internet. We'll done. Only question is how does the F-350 Tremor differ from the F-250 Tremor? (Besides price of course)
I own a '20 f250 Tremor 7.3. Been up and down spec sheets. The tremor is an automatic upgrade to the Dana super 60 front axle and 275mm rear with e lockef. Also the tremor is an automatic upgrade to 4 leafs +1 overload vs the standard 3 leafs in the f250. So as far as ive read all f250 Tremors are the same as f350 tremors. And all F250 Tremors are the same as a standard non tremor f350 SRW
Dang, I'm looking at the 7.3L F-250 Tremor Lariat right now and this made me want it even more. I know it's not a 1 ton like this one, but I don't need one. 3/4 ton would be more than enough for our towing needs. Awesome review! Glad to know the Tremor package on the Lariat is a good way to go because I was worried about what the Tremor would do to towing.
@@codyparker679 Another two reasons-- International still owns the 7.3 design and Ford isn't partnered with them anymore (after the disastrous 6.4/Maxxforce 7 engine) and the EPA limits the size of a pickup diesel to 6.7l, hence why both Ram and Ford use a 6.7.
@@frankgalioto4351 i went to dealer on 7/09 ordered lariat tremor and still not placed yet as of Friday 7/24. they told me it will be first week of August,
Everyone does understand this is a 2019 suspension with a leveling kit. Other than pretty nice, but compared to a power wagon it has no winch, no sway bar disconnect, no interior tech and no transfer case lock....
@@samduran5180 I think you can get a factory 12,000 lb winch. I'm not sold on touch screen functionality off roading... my I-pad is pretty sensitive with daily use let along being bounced around off-road. There is a lot of functionality built into the screen, but that means you lose a lot when it goes bad. It will be interesting to see the durability of the in-cab tech on the RAM.
Should have talked about rock climb mode. Gives the truck maximum torque. Even at idle speed. You can put your front wheels against a curb, let off the brake and the truck will just climb it, no pushing the gas needed.
I got my 7.3 Godzilla Tremor. Now my only complaint is finding a car wash big enough. I loaded up my gooseneck with the tractor and the only thing I noticed was a drop in the mileage. It was cruising at 85mph comfortably on the Interstate. I can't wait for Whipple to get their act together and get their supercharger out on the market.

First Time Viewer. Great Review! It would be very interesting to know more details regarding the shifting reaction of the 10R140 transmission behind both the 6.7L diesel engine and the 7.3L gas engine. Maybe Ford needs to improve (change) the software in the TCM for the 10R140 behind the 7.3L......or possibly change the gear ratios??? One option is to place the transmission control lever in the 'M' position and manually shift through the gears. However, that could be quite annoying to do in stop and go traffic. Regarding your comparison comments. 1. The Ford F-150 Raptor 4WD is a completely different truck...with IFS axle...designed for "high speed" off-road use. 2. The Dodge Power Wagon is different in two major ways...First, the Front Articulink suspension provides more axle flexibility; and the Rear Five-Link Coil suspension reduces excessive axle rotation; and Second the electric locker in the front differential. Although I have not investigated.....but, most likely Firestone, Air Lift or Hellwig offers rear air bags to improve payload and towing capabilities of the Dodge Power Wagon. On the other hand...the Ford Super Duty trucks, including the Tremor versions can be upgraded with aftermarket goodies. First, Eaton makes an e-Locker for the Dana 60 front axle (and the Ford 10.5 rear axle). Second, Carli suspension offers probably the best suspension systems for Ford Super Duty trucks.....a plethora of options, including front coil springs, Fox 2.0 or King 2.5 shocks, radius arms, rear leaf springs packs (from Deaver), front sway bar, etc. for a much improved off-road capability. In addition, Carli offers "Long Travel" air bags to improve the payload and towing capabilities for trucks with the 4.5 inch lift and optional Deaver rear leaf springs. Hellwig offers a variety of air bags, including units with a 0" to 4" lift spectrum which would be ideal for trucks equipped with the Carli 2.5 inch lift.
Thank you for stopping by! I'm definitely curious aout the 7.3 and 6.7 with that transmission. It wouldn't surprise me if they make software changes throughout the year or coming years to perfect things. It's also always possible that these "press cars" are not final production type models which could make a difference, but still. Great to hear about all of the additional things that could be added. Thank you so much again and I appreciate the comment!
Jushua Mengullo - short answer is NO. Those are merely cosmetic upgrades to the interior/exterior. They are essentially “Trim” levels. Ford trim levels start with XL which is your basic work truck, vinyl floors & seats. Then XLT, which starts your carpet floors & cloth seats. LARIAT, is where you get into Leather Seats, moon roof, and all the interior doo-adds. Then KING RANCH is just different leather & badging + more $$$. Then the Platinum is even more $$$ for even different leather seats & badging. That’s really all you are paying for with the top 2 levels is mostly appearance. They all offer the same Engine & Transmission options.
@@SimbaaCS no. I actually do not like any truck made after 2005. They are all show little work. I love my '89 F250 7.3l IDI. I even loaded up a 2017 model, that had the computer go belly up, on my trailer. My neighbor just had me take it to the junk yard. He then went and bought a 96 Ram Cummings. But you go ahead and enjoy your throw away truck.
Needs a 6 speed manual transmission option. I'd really like an 8 speed manual with two gearing options. Supper low: with SL, L, 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 and OD. And Double over drive : L, 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, OD and DOD. And a range of axle ratio options. We can work out ratio overlap later, I'm just brain storming up my dream Tremor.
@@darthbane2669 Have you seen the prices of the GM and Dodge comparables? They're no better. Up here in Soviet Canadastan any 3/4 ton full load (Platinum/Denali/Laramie) diesel truck will run you a hundred grand.
.....what DO Americans use these kinds of trucks for? I've never seen anything larger than an F-150 Raptor here where Im from, and those things already look like they could pull down a building all on their own.
If your just hauling four wheelers , side by side , dirt bikes maybe an occasional 24-26 ft long boat which truck would y’all choose power wagon or diesel tremor ?
Well hmm... if it’s a off-road package I never understood why companies never just put as much rubber on a tire as possible but they always either put small street tires or pretty small rubber wise all terrian tires considering that this truck is legit built for going off-road and going mudding or going to the beach and having no issues at all and if you don’t know tires play a big part because your not gonna have a good time if you bring city boys onto the sand
My only issue with the tremor is that it’s not offered on anything but a super crew. Real off-road guys love either a super cab w/short bed or a regular cab with long bed. Such a shame
almost 4 years old and coming up on 75k miles. She has been flawless other than a battery. I added a 3" level from Carli along with a few more of their stuff and 37 12.5 20's on a 9" wheel with a 0 offset. Looks a Tremor on steroids and rides way better thanks to Carli. I pull quite a bit heavy 14-17k pounds and she has performed well. This truck replaced a diesel and in 2025 I will most likely get another 7.3.
I would think the transmission is adaptive and learns as you drive it. My 2020 6.2l 10 speed silverado trail boss has 3k on it now and its an adaptive transmission. Its sooooo smooth now.
Drive it first. We took one for a rip and my wife named it the "Trembler", it just doesn't handle. Snagged up a 2020 sport with a spacer lift and 35's instead and she rails the turns, best truck i've ever driven. IMO I have no idea how they got the Tremor so wrong, when I first heard about it I was sold... until i drove it.
If it is really 7.3 gas I bet you're muffler looks like a small metal trash can aftermarket exhaust would sound great or dual straight pipe but fuel economy would drop most likely

How do you afford this? What do you do for a living?
That is a fantastic truck... a man would never need anything else
Ram makes a better looking truck with more modern tech. However, I'll admit that gas 7.3 engine looks pretty impressive.
Says who? Opinions differ.
If only this would fit in my garage
What's up with the flashing display lights around 11:00 minutes in??
Brad Warren that's from the Cameras Frames Per Second not the truck lol
Nice Atlanta Braves shirt. I am an Atlanta Braves fan as well.
Tremor is a BEAST
I love Ford
Yup ! Ford number 1 , as always !
I'm confused someone help, so many people say they don't have a locker but what's the locker on the front wheels???
Need a drone nearly to see under that hood!!
Ahahahaha
Should have talked about rock climb mode. Gives the truck maximum torque. Even at idle speed. You can put your front wheels against a curb, let off the brake and the truck will just climb it, no pushing the gas needed.
I got my 7.3 Godzilla Tremor. Now my only complaint is finding a car wash big enough. I loaded up my gooseneck with the tractor and the only thing I noticed was a drop in the mileage. It was cruising at 85mph comfortably on the Interstate. I can't wait for Whipple to get their act together and get their supercharger out on the market.
No one is best of making Pickup trucks than the Big 3 Detroit automakers, Nissan and Toyota as well
Does the 10 speed still have problems?
Great review thank you
Thank you!
It would be nice if you could pull the rear seat (lower portion) forward, lowering the back flat like a futon as an option.
BuiltRight Industries F-Series rear seat release kit. I put one on my 2017 F250.
Fantastic - not only is that dude 5'2", but the truck also has a place to store your Tampons and Pads.
You’ve seriously got some issues

truck locking diff on both front and rear ?
Why do the tires look so damn skinny...what’s the section width on them?
Super cool and impressive
Can it tow 5th wheel??
Look how SMALL that other Ford pickup looks like at 12:12 haha He must have being jalours, enoyed or even offended by the MASSIVE 2020 truck haha
What gearing is in this test truck?
Was hoping the steering ratio was better in the new truck but looks like about 7 turns to make a corner still
good review
Gort 1913 thank you!
is there a difference in performance between lariat kingranch and platinum
Yeah...About 10k each step up!
Would love a cup holder that would fit a Gatorade bottle for us real working people 😉
If you were a real working person you wouldn't buy this peace of shit for work. for play sure. My Idi is a working truck.
Mine does hold a 32oz Gatorade lol.
@@timesthree5757 lmao sounds like someone is a little jealous.
@@timesthree5757 or you simply cant afford the modern trucks today and thus are bitter.
We can work out ratio overlap later, I'm just brain storming up my dream Tremor.

isn't diesel more per gallon? idk i never drove a diesel before, but i was under the impression that it was more expensive fuel.
btw i like how you can't hear the engine while driving, that's pretty impressive for a v8 hd truck!
Current price diesel is roughly 50cent more. However remember when gas was $5 a gallon? Diesel always stays around $2-$2.50 a gllon

F250 Tremor 7.3 or F250 FX4 7.3?
What is your height? What do you think a 5'7 or 5'8 can drive that?
I’m 5’9” - and yes I was easily comfortable at my height 👍
Hey have question about the steering wheels on the tremor
What is the sticker price? I apologize if you said it during the video, I may have missed it.
No problem, I didn't show it until later into the video than usual at 1:50
It was just under $72k MSRP
Basically over 72k if you want more bells and whistles. Way over priced.
@@darthbane2669 Have you seen the prices of the GM and Dodge comparables? They're no better. Up here in Soviet Canadastan any 3/4 ton full load (Platinum/Denali/Laramie) diesel truck will run you a hundred grand.
Patiently waiting for the 7.3 ecoboost.....
They would have really hit the target if they made this truck with the Raptor style fenders and bedsides ...
Thanks
Nolan, what do you think of the upcoming Mazda3 Turbo? My mind is blown. Major party time.
I’m definitely excited to check it out! Glad they are offering that!
Wait where are the Aux switches ?
Khaled - “IF” the truck is equipped then they would be in the upper console right above the rear view mirror.
My 17 power stroke has 6 aux switches, surely it has em
.....what DO Americans use these kinds of trucks for? I've never seen anything larger than an F-150 Raptor here where Im from, and those things already look like they could pull down a building all on their own.
The competition of Petrol Heavy duty Engines
GM-6.6 liter V8
Ford 7.3 liter V8
Ram-6.4 liter V8 (HEMI)
Ignition coils go out at around 10k for starters
On the 7.3?
I feel like this is just the same height as the 17-19s. That ford lowers the trucks just to offer a leveling kit package
Exactly!
@@samduran5180 yup a rip off. Ford truckers not exactly bright.
@TeddyD if that's the case why are the f350s still the same height?
If your just hauling four wheelers , side by side , dirt bikes maybe an occasional 24-26 ft long boat which truck would y’all choose power wagon or diesel tremor ?
Neither. Huge waste of money. Get a cheap used truck
Well hmm... if it’s a off-road package I never understood why companies never just put as much rubber on a tire as possible but they always either put small street tires or pretty small rubber wise all terrian tires considering that this truck is legit built for going off-road and going mudding or going to the beach and having no issues at all and if you don’t know tires play a big part because your not gonna have a good time if you bring city boys onto the sand
Thinking about this or the bronco with that sasquatch package crap
If I could afford it it def would be my first choice
It's very tall!!!!!
Yeah, a lot of people are pulling the suspension off the Tremors and putting in Carli suspension .
If it is really 7.3 gas I bet you're muffler looks like a small metal trash can aftermarket exhaust would sound great or dual straight pipe but fuel economy would drop most likely
I will stick to my 8.1 + allison 6 speed. Tuned 8.1 has 530 torque.
If you didn’t add 6th gear, you’ve only got a 5 speed…
