Exactly the soup my mum cooked the first time my husband and his relatives came knocking😄😄😄.
But she used úkàshi instead of bitterleaf(our native way) with akpù .Till today my husband and his brothers still talk about that soup and how his brothers forgot their mission and demanded for more even take away😄😄😄😄(because they were suppose to form and not finish the whole food).😀😀😀😀😀😀😀
    You're right ma,this soup is everything 👌👌👌👌.

When I've been sent bitter leaf that is extra bitter, I rinse and boil it. The first water from the boil i set aside and pour it into my soup. That way I dont end up with flat bitter leaf soup. Hubby is an nnewi man and likes that bitter taste.
Nice soup as usual aunty flo👍🏾

Did you add a fermented ingredient? And what to replace bitter leaves with?

Chai. My husband doesn't like ogiri, bitter leaf and cow insides. If I exclude all of that, would it still give authentic igbo vibes? 🥺
