Babymetal is blessed to have two incredible drummers who play for them at live shows. On this occasion it was Hideki Aoyama on drums; he has been the drummer of the Kami Band of the East since 2013.

They get this response anywhere they perform this song in the world . The last time i saw this song performed at Wembley, i had a few Sabaton fans sat around me and were determined not to join in . So i had to sing twice as loud 😮 much to their discomfort i am not a good singer . you could see them wincing and looking around to see where the source of their discomfort was coming from the best version of ROR, in my opinion, making me so proud of them❤❤❤😁🤘🏼🦊🤘🏼

Thanks again from Japan 有難う💛。This anthemic song was played in the shows on Jan.28/29 this year, and I ran in the circle pit for the first time in my 67-year-long life 😄. Then I did it again in April show 🤣. The crowd involvement (mosh pit, call & response, chant etc.) occurs wherever they go on this planet. In your video, Su shouted some words at 16:04 meaning "Bring them on!". Fans analyzed that the provocative shout was thrown at people who had been ignoring, underrating, mocking, hating and even trying to discredit BABYMETAL. That shout may have been necessary in 2015 but not any longer. She shouted it rarely since then or she does it smilingly with her friendly voice now. Please explore BM more.

    Great reaction as always, thanks!
Yes, discovering BABYMETAL can be a life-changing experience and many of us have experienced it during our journey. And there is a lot more, not only their music and their live performances. I remember watching a fancam footage, a month after I discovered them, from the aftermath of a concert where some fans appeared psychically and emotionally destroyed. I didn't understand that at the moment. But now I do and I have experienced the same myself. It's something I can't even explain. They have changed my life in some ways I never expected.
About the performance, this is from the concert New Year Fox Festival - Legend 2015 held at Saitama Super Arena on January 10th 2015 with a sold out crowd of over 20.000 people. This was a 90+ minutes show and this was the final encore. Which is crazy, because the amount of energy used here is unreal. And believe-me, the whole concert was performed with this intensity.
And yes, the moment when they walked through the bridge is so special that Su-metal told years later that this is one of her favorite moments on stage and she also made this song her personal anthem. Su is very professional and she never breaks her character but you can tell by her expressions and body language that she's on fire, specially during the second half of the song and even verbalizing it by shouting at certain moment: "Kakatte koi yaa!" ("Bring it on!").
They are legends, for sure. And they know it.
    Until next time!
    🤘🦊

Only time i remember being more animated(yes every now and again Su shows her joy/elation after a show) was Sonispere during the WE ARE BABYMETAL shout at the end, with a massive releaved smile and waving her hand. Not surprising since this was when they broke the West and more importantly were accepted by a real metal crowd (that was packed for a Saturday first band on stage performancw, WHICH NEVER HAPPENS, Usually there's half or less than half there especially for an UNKNOWN mostly band) and are (im so proud to say) horrible to fake/crap/poser bands. I remember Amy Lee being destroyed 1 year sitting at her white GRAND PIANO WTF. Love seeing Su happy.

Excellent reaction again. This was January 2015 at the Saitama Super Arena, Su was just turned 17, Yui and Moa still only 15 and that was a sold out crowd of over 20,000 people completely under their control.
This was also the last encore, the end of a 90 minute concert and they had not let up in that energy or quality for the whole time.
The first time they ever played this song was in London late in 2014, nobody had ever heard it, nobody even knew the title of the song ... and even then, with a UK audience, they had everybody singing along and singing the song back to them. They are incredible.
SSA was the first big concert where they got to play this. Su-metal has said that walking across that bridge with the crowd singing the song back to them is one of her favourite moments and one of her favourite memories.🤘🦊🤘

4:04 that would be really impressive, because Babymetal hadn't performed a 100 shows yet. This was actually the 3rd time this song ever was performed, it didn't have a proper song release yet.

Road of Resistance: Live In Japan 🇯🇵 @"Saitama Super Arena (SSA):-
"Road of Resistance" is a song by the Japanese Kawaii metal band Babymetal. The song was released worldwide as a digital single on February 1, 2015 by Toy's Factory, serving as the lead single off the international re-release of the album Babymetal, as well the opening track from Metal Resistance. The *Kami Band" did not necessarily wrote the studio version but Shinji Uto aka Leda Cygnus wrote the bassline for some of Babymetal songs. The live version plays by The "Kami Band" are much more heavier than the studio version.
Su-Metal was 10 when she performed with Karen Girls at the SSA (SAITAMA SUPER ARENA). The Arena that night holds about 20000 Babymetal fans but when you see the centrepiece Island and the two curve bridge, it can hold up to 30000 or even up to 40000 depends on the configuration of Babymetal concert for each tour they performed. This song is co-written by Dragonforce with Herman Li and Sam Totman plays the guitar 🎸 solos, but Kami Band live show is brutal and tight. This is a classic Power Metal genre or speed metal as some might refer to. Bands like Dragonforce, Helloween and even Sabaton do power metal genre. Arkadia from Metal Galaxy Album is the successor to Road Of Resistance. At 17 Su-Metal alongside Yuimetal and Moametal who is 15 at that time, gave a perfect 👌 performance on how live show should be. This performance alone cemented my love ❤️ and appreciation for Babymetal. Kitsune Up 🦊🦊🦊🤘🤘🤘😍💕🌸🇯🇵🇸🇬#notacult. .
    Babymetal singles chronology:-
    •"Megitsune" (2013).
    •"Road of Resistance" (2015).
    •"Gimme Chocolate!!" (2015).
    Background and release:-
"Road of Resistance" includes guest appearances by DragonForce guitarists Herman Li and Sam Totman.
The song would be used to mark the beginning of the band's lore, Metal Resistance Episode III, at the concert held on November 8, 2014 at O2 Brixton Academy in London, which was also the final tour date for the band's Babymetal World Tour 2014.
A trailer for the song was released on January 5, 2015, integrating footage from the debut performance of the song in London. The song was first released as a digital bonus track off the live album Live at Budokan: Red Night, with limited editions of the album containing a download card with a code to download the song at no additional charge. The song was later released as a dedicated digital single on the iTunes Store on February 1, 2015.
Li and Totman are featured on guitars, although they are listed as featured artists in various regions of the re-release of the album Babymetal, on which the song appears as a bonus track, mainly in the United Kingdom.
    Composition:-
Rolling Stone described the song as "power metal" with "shiny pop harmonies". Rock Sound called the song "everything we’d expect from [Babymetal] with a bit of Dragonforce’s exhilarating, flame-fingered guitar added in for good measure." Matt Evans of The List called the song an "empowering hyperspeed anthem". According to Kadokawa, the song consists of twin shred guitars courtesy of Li and Totman, with a dynamic sound derived of melodic speed metal. The lyrics are described as a narrative on the Metal Resistance, which the band adopted on their world tour. It has also been considered the "final stage" of Babymetal and the prologue to Metal Resistance, and a transition performance that demonstrates the band's growth from the previous album.
According to Su-metal, the song refers to the Metal Resistance lore, described as "the story of Babymetal traveling across the world in the hopes of creating a new metal to unify the world as we break through the barriers of language and borders. In the middle of the song there is a part where we go, ‘Wow, Wow’ and this is where our fans from around the world can sing with us at our concerts. I hope people will listen to our album and support us at our shows." Yuimetal stated in an interview with Metal Hammer that "Road of Resistance" is her favorite song from Metal Resistance, explaining that it "has been performed at so many concerts, so a lot of memories are jam-packed. The lyrics are positive, the sound is so cool, and [the] dance is so powerful."
•Recorded by Watametal and Adrian Breakspear.
    •Mixed by Ettore Rigotti
    Personnel:-
    •Suzuka Nakamoto (Su-metal) - Main vocals.
•Yui Mizuno (Yuimetal) - Backing vocals.

    Saitama Super Arena:-
"Saitama Super Arena (さいたまスーパーアリーナ, Saitama Sūpā Arīna) is a multi-purpose indoor arena located in Chūō-ku, Saitama, Saitama Prefecture, Japan. It opened preliminarily on May 5, 2000, and then officially opened on September 1 of the same year. Its spectator capacity is 36,500 at maximum settings,[3] making it the second-largest indoor arena in the world. The main arena capacity is between 19,000 and 22,500".
    •Owner: Saitama Arena Corp.
    •Capacity: 36,500 (stadium setting) 18,000 (arena setting).
The arena was designed by Dan Meis, who at the time was working for architecture firm Ellerbe Becket, together with Nikken Sekkei. Meis's design was selected as a result of an international design competition. The arena features a gigantic movable section of seating which can reduce capacity for smaller events and create a more intimate setting.
It is a favorite venue for puroresu (Japanese professional wrestling) and mixed martial arts (MMA). It has also hosted other sports events such as boxing, basketball, volleyball, tennis, ice hockey, and gymnastics. It is the only Japanese arena equipped especially for American football.
It formerly housed the John Lennon Museum, which displayed John Lennon memorabilia and closed in 2010.
    LYRICS OVERVIEW:-

    東の空を 真っ赤に染める 狼煙の光が
A new way to signal the end of the darkness of loneliness

1st- That music, on that concert
It is the most pure, distilled form of what Babymetal is all about. And I'm not even saying that because it has Yui. Had it happened yesterday, with Momo, it would have been just as awesome!
2nd - Fear not! "That guy in the middle" is A-OK! Babymetal is a family friendly band. They've got what is known as "Safe Mosh" (Moshu-shu in Japanese, "Mosh'sh" at the end of the Gimme Choco video).
3rd- Su's crowd control is legendary, and she's been recognised for it and for her amazing singing technique, by many industry titans: Metallica, Judas Priest, DragonForce... Heck even Lady Gaga had them open for her.
There were times when she just waved her index finger in a circular motion, and the people would make a circle pit, and wouldn't stop until she thought it was a good 'nuff size. She evokes worship, when she performs "Headbangerrrr!!", while death-staring the crowd.
One movement of the hands, and the fans know what and when to do.
For having that level of crowd control, Su has earned the title of "Queen" among the fans.
4th - Su pulled what in the music industry is called a "Freddie Mercury at Maracana back in 1985, singing Love of My Life", with that crowd chant.
If I'm not mistaken that show had 20000 people that night. That's 20k people at Su's command, singing for the girls and band.
If no one told you already, another fact:
BabyMetal (Bebimetaru in Japanese), is a pun on words Heavy (Hebi) and Baby (Bebi) in Japanese, since the difference for them is just a " . Like, this is the "He" syllable へ. And this is the "Be" syllable べ. They're practically the same, except for that " (it's called tenten).
May I suggest "Headbangerrrr!" for your next reaction? A live version would be preferable over the studio one.
Beware of the "Moabanger" or "Moa Headbanger" versions, since they show Moa singing, and it would ruin the experience, if you didn't watch the originals with Su first.
"BxMxCx" is a great one (it's called just BMC, "Xs" are ther for style), and shows Su being better at that style than a whole portion of "famous artists" out there.
"Karate" is a great one to watch, both live or the official MV, should you want it.
Lastly, "Sis. Anger", to watch some Black Babymetal. That's when Su takes a break, and both Yui and Moa sing.

Love getting to watch your enjoyment of their performances, it is quite a ride finding more and more excellence from them over time. At some point, when you feel like you have hit most of the bredth of what they do, find some full live concerts (you can buy them, though some can be found online or recreated via youtube. like Legend 1997, the Su-Metal birthday party concert, you can get all 14 live performances here to see the entire thing start to finish. there are many, many other examples, watching one full concert is almost more amazing than the individual finds, then going through a dozen more is just wonderful. I don't believe it is possible to do a react to an entire set like that, but for yourself when you want to it is worth doing.

I saw them for the first time in 2017 simply because a friend of mine from Ukraine asked me to go. All I knew was that they were like....a meme band of Japanese girls doing metal.....and that at worst I'd be entertained. My expectation was that I'd be a good friend and see something novel by seeing that at the Palladium.
But I was like immediately won over by them, but this song - when they played this song, and the crowd went fucking insane - I walked out trying to figure out whether I'd just seen the best show my life, or like top 3, top 5.
Having seen them 3 times now and passed the gift on to other friends of mine who are musicians, I can confidently say that they're my favorite live act. You cannot have a soul and have a bad time at a Babymetal show, and everybody on stage fucking loves what they do. There's a level of production that no other live act I know of does, and it's a tribute to heavy music. They've won over metalheads in sold out arena level numbers, and it's a revolution.
This song blew my mind the first time I heard it. Still does, but it did then too.

You can totally tell, and it's so amazing. Took my old bandmate to see them like 10 days ago, and when they busted into this song, I was like "this song is like the most Dragonforce thing you could ever Dragonforce, it's awesome."
He already had been mindfucked from the set they'd played, but RoR is such a banger, the entire arena was going wild and the guitar riffs are like the best you can ask for.
This track always gets me super pumped. Babymetal Death is the best opener you could ever ask for, and RoR is a perfect closer. Herman Li is a genius, and it shows here.

About time, part of BabyMetal is about the performance. The guy in the middle is now part of the stadium. The pit master at one BM show i went too was never seen again.

I saw this video for the first time in 2015. That was the moment I realized that this is not a joke band.
I have seen them live 4 times since that, and I already have a ticket for their upcoming show in November.

since first discovering babymetal a few months ago i must have watched this video over 100 times both on my own and with reactors. it just never gets old. if you can, watch it on a big screen tv. it looks awesome on my 75 inch. you feel like you're there. i know when i see them in october (last show of the north american tour) there will be many times i will have tears streaking down my face. during akatsuki, arkadia, the one, and definitely road of resistance i will be a mess. at my age i never thought i would be so moved by a musical act as i am by my favorite band, pink floyd, but babymetal grabs you by the heart and wrings that emotion out of you. if i die soon after the concert in october i will have no regrets because i will have seen all that is wonderful in this life, and ended it with a cherry on top.

The Babymetal´s power metal (aka Dragonforce) songs are the most incredible songs I've ever heard. You should try one of the next reaction.
