Grown man here, discovered Babymetal yesterday and since then all I've been doing is listening to their songs and watching reaction videos to their songs. Someone send help, I can't stop.
Sir how's going now? I've been stuck for the last 2 weeks and it doesn't seem to stop soon 😂
Then u deff don't want me to tell u how u can watch all their concerts for free. It'll b Babymetal overload. Their all I listen to and I don't even listen to Metal.
same, and i have an exam tomorrow...like, im gonna fail my psychology mocks if this goes on TvT
@@calystynn504 I hope you didn't fail!

I'm a 59 year old metal head and these girls reduce me to a puddle of tears on a regular basis.... Never fails
I am 54 and my son is 20 yet we both went to their concert last month
thomas roering that’s so awesome, i’m going to their concert myself on March 2020 for the first time, hope i can make it
How was the concert?
@@jamesnelson5741 Better then any video of them by far
Agreed their charisma and stage presence just don't come thru. Went to one last year.
I wish i was in that concert too :(
I cry at Babymetal all the time! They do that to you. I am a 53 year old hardcore metalhead.
Totally know what you mean.
Same, I'm 38
43 here, listening to metal for 30+ years and I just bought tickets to my first BabyMetal show, Atlanta, Sept. 6th
51 here. Their performances are a thing of beauty and very refreshing and original. The One brings tears to my eyes every time I hear or see it.
45 bought my tickets for my first show Sept 23 in KC. Same here the One and Starlight brings tears to my eyes.

BabyMetal’s fanbase crosses generations. I’m 43yo and my niece is 21yo. In 2019, we both went to watch BabyMetal at San Francisco. Both head banged. Jumped. Yelled. Lost our voices. That night I was the cool Uncle. Met great people who represented all walks of life. Truly earned the title…. The One!!!
I'm glad I'm a 62 year old guy who doesn't have to deal with tears while watching a Babymetal video .... Ok, maybe my eyes water a little bit ... Oh, all right, I sometimes cry like a little girl ... But that's going to be our little secret, so don't you dare tell anyone!!!
David Landry 😭.....🤫
Such is the power of the Fox God.
😂😆🤣🤪
It is not tears, it is man sweat. A little known fact, men occasionally sweat from their eyeballs. It happens to me occasionally, like with the wedding of a niece, baby metal concert, etc.
I’m a grown man over 40+ and I LOVE babymetal. Totally agree with you on their energy level. They are really professional you know. That’s what drive the fan base I think. It’s not three little girls cluelessly wandering around. They were well prepared, well rehearsed, and going all out in a concert with their fantastic band at the back. Professional grade I would say. ❤️

I’ve been to three Babymetal concerts, I use to work in Tokyo, so coming to America I saw them live a few times and I’ll never forget in Washington DC I stood next to four big biker dudes and Moa just smiled at them and I watched for gigantic Biker guys melt right in front of me.
This song is so joyful, hopeful, and full of happiness! You can't help but get caught up in the joyful emotion of their performance. They give it their all, and it shows!

I'm 50 and Babymetal is the best band of all time.
@@KDTGrave I love all their songs, and no song sounds the same.I'm gonna see them 3 times this year.
Im 54, by far my favorite band ever.
I don't know if they are the best band of all time, or if that could become a settled argument about any one band, but I know that no band has ever come even remotely close to affecting me as much as Babymetal has, and that has been sustained for years now. It's amazing.
I totally agree with that statement. They really are the best thing in music.
言葉が分からなくても感動するの分かるよ。

There's no turning back now, it only gets better.. so many great tear jerking songs to hear.. I'm a 63 yo. retired musician , and Babymetal has restored my hope for this generations music.. there is still originality in young musicians today.. great review and your reaction was the same as the thousands before you. Including myself. Welcome to the Foxhole... oh.. thanks for not stopping the music a hundred times like everyone else..
"What is happening in the crowd?"
- That, my dear, is a mosh pit. Babymetal pits are friendly, so don't worry too much about your hips. ;-)
"Where do they get the energy?"
- Only the fox god knows. ;-)
"Their fans love them, don't they?"
- Yep. Yep, we do.
"How can those girls dance like that and then sing on key?"
- They're athletes. I can't put it any better.
"You guys are amazing."
- Thanks. But actually, it's spelled like this now: You are guys amazing! (You'll know why once you saw the Wembley show.) ;-)
I still dont know what Yui is saying no matter how many times Im watching it
Best part of mosh pits is if one falls down others will quickly help them up before any thing bad happens like getting stepped on, most pit etiguette

So here's the thing about the show you are going to: you're not going to _see it,_ you're going to _BE A PART OF IT._ "We are... BABYMETAL!" 😊
I'm a man in his 50s who has also cried from the sheer joy - meant literally - of this band live.
Yep
When I met the video of Sonisphere concert ,U.K.in 2014, I was so excited like you.
They did great job.
I'm a professional musician. and i cry every time too. every song. there are a few songs in particular and you will discover them, I'm sure of it. I am an ALL IN fan and by that I mean, 6 years strong now, I've seen them live, officially became part of THE ONE, and listened to their albums hundreds if not thousands of times. I would die for this band. That being said, I'm glad you get it too. I just want to tell you though that the show you'll see won't have this large of a production. Their main tours just have a giant BABYMETAL flag background but the energy is absolutely still there. I'll be there in Chicago! Have fun at your concert and thanks for sharing your fun reaction!
Baby Metal is what the music scene has been awaiting and longing for, for at least 2 decades! The music mastery is beyond words to do them justice. As for why you were crying... Try because their music and performance is just that beautiful!
もらい泣きしちゃった
I’m a 71 yo metal head musician this makes me so happy heart is full of joy and looking at Su she has the most beautiful face in the world totally in love it brings me to tears of absolute joy
It comes naturally. Their childlike acting, their adorable smilings during their shows, like when they walk along the stage way in this live performance... truely adorable smiling, and the innocence in their voices create that extremely overprotective feeling within you. Like you want to protect your own babychild from the harms of the sad reality of our world, that makes your eyes water. That feel is what drags you into their performances. At least, that is how BM works for me. And I am even not a metal head at all, just occasionally listening to some heavier stuff.
The ages of the girls are here 15 and 17 years so they really don't only look young......they are
Su (the vocalist) practices her singing while running on a treadmill. That's why she has so much stamina
Im a 57 year old man and im crying with you even though I've see this vid hundreds of times, its almost like I'm a proud father and these are my girls ripping that stage wide open. ☺☺
Please react to "No rain no rainbow" from Budokan Black nights. It's one of the most beautiful songs I've ever heard.
Maybe that's what brings the tears out of all us grown men when we watch these girls..its pride? I didn't cry when my daughter graduated college though so...
BABYMETALのスピリッツを、感じ取って貰えて嬉しいです!
私ももらい泣きしそう(ToT)💓
"WE ARE - BABYMETAL!!!" That reaction was even better than your reaction for Karate. Talking about their energy - this was the show finale, they had been singing and dancing flat out for over an hour already. You're not the first reactor to shed a tear with Babymetal - although you are possibly the first to do it with Road of Resistance. The song that forces out most tears is 'The One'.
The girls had seen how foreign fans were learning Japanese just to sing along with them at their shows around the world, so they challenged themselves to learn a song entirely in English as a thank you, to show their appreciation of their fans and as a sort of love letter to them.
You could go easy on yourself and react to the official video - that is in half and half Japanese and English but at live shows ever since they always sing it all in English ... and most recently the first half is virtually a capella or "unfinished" (just piano and maybe violin accompaniment).
Versions that bring most tears are the 19 minute video (these can be found on Dailymotion) of 'Tales of the Destinies' (a prog rock song praised by Mike Portnoy formerly of Dream Theater, this is the only time it has been played live) and 'The One', two songs were written together and played one after the other to close the first of their two nights at Tokyo Dome in front of 55,000 fans all wearing neck braces that lit up. The other is the half "unfinished" version from Legend S (Su-metal's 20th birthday shows) in Hiroshima.
Grington300 300 please please let them do Tales of the Destinies again, in Forum 2019 please, Koba!!
Akatsuki always tears me up. ua-cam.com/video/MyiYoNwr1Mo/v-deo.html
Welcome to The One! You're officially one of us now and part of the family; you're officially a "Kitsune"! You, obviously, 'get it'! ;-)
We've all been there: the energy, the admiration for the girls.... that first tear when watching BABYMETAL... :-) And it won't be the last tears, I promise you.
And that's why BABYMETAL fans love watching other people discover that magic: it's wonderful to see that 'click' happening in someone else's brain, experiencing the power, the talent, the happiness and the love that is BABYMETAL..... and to, vicariously, experience that again. Most of the time the road there takes a bit longer, from "WTF?!", to "this is interesting..!", to "this is amazing!", but we love to see that path of discovery. And I'm positive that I can speak for every other Kitsune who watches your BABYMETAL reactions: we're looking forward to seeing you go down that path and we'll accompany and help you on every step! "Always on your side! We are The One! We are BABYMETAL! Kitsune up!"
Perfectly said :D
@@michaelwolf6692 he had a lot of practise. :-)
FloppyHares Couldn’t have said it better.
Yes... You get to see them LIVE!!
Their headline sets are usually 90 minutes at that energy level.
Su is a World Class soprano... she nails it every time.
I've seen them 5 times in the US, and it's the most diverse fan base I've ever been among.
One thing I really enjoyed was seeing fathers having a band that they could share the Metal experience of their youth, with their daughters. When I saw them at the Hammerstein in NYC 2014, the people next to me were a Father with his 11 year old daughter. To quote them, "It's the first thing we've done together where we both want to be here, and we don't know which of us is more excited."
The stage set for your show will probably be minimal, but all you need are the performers.
They will be doing their full production stage show here in L.A. at the Forum. They will be the 1st Japanese band to headline the venue in over 30 years.
...I recommend that you take a quick journey to the present, and do a reaction to a song from their upcoming album.
Live from Glastonbury Music Festival UK 2019, "Shanti"... It's a wonderful example of how their music is constantly evolving.

It is so crazy to think that this was the show closer after 1 1/2 hours of doing the same thing. By the way I am a 47 year old man who has recently got stuck in the fox hole. This band just puts a smile on your face every time you see them.
Also this song was a love song to the fans. It's fantastic.
I'm a 53 year old punk rock/hardcore/metal drummer and they have the same effect on me. They are incredibly amazing and I love Babymetal's message. It does kick major ass. I loved your video
Now you know why we wanted you to watch this. Did you notice at the end how they shouted " see you!". And when Su spreads her arms she is commanding a " wall of death" in the audience
沼に浸かってしまいましたね😁

Welcome to the FoxHole. We are “One” Hail our Queen Su! Kitsune up 🦊🤟
I am sure Babymetal, on top of the music, is a very strong reminder of the pure and innocence in us. Seeing it's delicate power prevail is a reminder we carry inside us a living force which may look weak, but is not. However, it's not the force of the adults, or anyone who thinks they can own it. It's untainted and reminds you of the best in yourself. That's what makes you cry. And me.
I see you're a little tipsy too? Lol 😂

"I dont care what language it was sang in, if its good ill listen to it"
Truth girl!!! music is not just meant to be heard by your ears. its also meant to be heard by your heart
You would be more surprised by the fact that this song was played as the closing song of their 90-minute show. This show was in 2015, the main singer was just 17 years old and the other two were 15, now they are 4 years older, much better and matured than those days. You don't have to worry about your age, I'm a 48-year-old thrasher who'd been to the first Japan tour of Metallica in '86, and moreover, as BABYMETAL sings in their other anthem, THE ONE, we are the one when we are standing in the circle pit side by side.
I'm 60 and I came across BabyMetal about 6 monhs ago. My first video I saw of them was "Catch Me If You Can." I thought what the f is this? But it intrigued me to want to watch more. i fell into the Foxhole after that and now BabyMetal is my favorite group.
That overwhelming emotion is completely understandable. I get it many times when watching these girls work their magic!
Hi from the UK. I'm 55 and brought up on 70s and 80s rock, I think Babymetal are such a refreshing presence in the rock world. 😁
You just fell headfirst down the fox hole.
You must watch Akatsuki live. It's Sue on her own with the Kami Band and it really is a beautiful song.
Welcome to The One... :) they will blow your mind live. I have never seen any band in my 50 odd cough years like them.
With most bands, you can hear 1 or 2 songs from an album and you get the gist of that band. With Babymetal, every song is an adventure.
Ok im 53 years old metalhead myself, came across this Band by accident and OMFG glad i did. Blows me away, i have a new band ill be following for like ever
Please react next to Ijime Dame Zettai live at Sonisphere. Introducing their selves to the world how awesome they are. And also, please pay attention to the backing band, the Kami band. They are superb! Sugoi!

The best part of all this? The friends I've made. There is no fandom like the Babymetal fanbase.
I saw them in 2016 with my daughter who was 6 at the time. The event in San Francisco while small was awesome. My daughter didn’t seem like the youngest, there seemed to be people in their 60s and possibly older.
We’re going on a road trip to LA to see them this year still considering San Francisco and Sacramento as well.
Looking forward to the concert, the last time I had to stand near the back to keep my daughter safe and had a 6 year old bouncing on my shoulders. Killed my back but was an awesome experience!

BABYMETALを見たときに出てくるこの涙はなんなんだろうね😭🤣
Seeing them live is a life changing experience. It transcends language, and culture and strikes you in your soul. Check out a SUMETAL solo next. Rondo of Nightmare live with Mischief of the Gods intro. You will not get the ban hammer for it.
Glad you are going to see them. But it might not be as big as production as here but they always are good live. I am going in october to see them on LA. The band musicians are some of the best in Japan. This was in 2015. In 2016 they sold out Tokyo dome two nights in a row, 55,000 people each night. Su, the lead singer, has awesome crowd control. You aint seen nothing yet. And yes Babymetal has fans from all age groups. That makes them different. Once you get over the dancing to metal, you realize they are so good and the dancing actually works with their songs.
Some advice since you are going to see them live. If you want to truly experience the what BABYMETAL's fanbase is like, get to the venue early to experience the queue. Fans will start lining up the night before if the venue/city will allow them, or as early the day of they are allowed to. If you get there early, one or two fans at the front of the line will write a letter and number on the back of your hand to show your place in line, which allows you to leave the line for food and bio breaks. It also allows you the chance to meet and talk to the other fans up and down the line without losing your place in line.
There will be many fans from Japan and around the world who have traveled to the show you are at. Some fans will be handing out fan made merchandise they brought to share, especially earlier in the day. There will likely be an fan-arranged afterparty(s) to enjoy with your new friends and discuss the show.
Going to be 65 in Oct. when I see them again. Saw them in Seattle 3 years ago and after standing in line for about 14 hours was still 1 away from barrier. Will do it all over again. Babymetal reinvigorated my interest in music starting back in late 2011 and love to see newcomers like you join in. You are going to have so much fun. Put your kitsunes uppppp!
They are a completely epic act. They have all to moving from headbanging to tear in one song.
That's all! Is really amazing!
Cute, powerful, energetic, poignant, etc. One of a hell of a musical/artistic/show achievement🔥♥️
0:30 Yes, I know exactly how you feel! I was excited at 15, in 1976, when I saw Sabbath live, same at 18 when I saw Led Zeppelin, and very excited now, at 58, to be among the lucky ones who will see them in Cardiff, Wales, UK in Feb 2020. Love that when Queen SuMetal demands that 50,000 hardcore Metal fans scream their band's name at the end, they obey!
もらい泣きしてしまいました、どなたか和訳字幕お願いします🙇♂️
Headbanger, Megitsune, Rondo of Nightmare by Babymetal .... must have!
For a first 2 songs better to choose their concert at Makuhari Messe
And for Rondo of Nightmare, the Budokan Black Night show with the Mischief of Gods intro!
What? I guess there is no IDZ(sonis)&ATATSUKI(Black Night). Kneel to the Queen.
Awadama Fever dumbasses GEEZ
Rondo of nightmare always got me
"Do I get to see that live?" Yup. You did. And I was in the same crowd with you as we watched Su, Moa, and Momoko completely slay. I'm a man a touch younger than you, and tears welled in my eyes hearing that last note on RoR. They are so special
I think it's like a knockout punch to the left side of your brain. The Kawaii(cute) elements combined with the metal short cicuit the rational part of your brain - the side that would say "this ain't normal/right". Then the Right side of your brain is free to just enjoy the uplifting/inspirational/ entertaining aspect of the show. And the music truly is uplifting - even if you don't read the translated lyrics (which are often inspirational on their own). It's a joyous reaction that can just overwhelm - especially when you see the audience reaction to the hard work and talent on the stage.
By the time your left brain has rebooted, it's too late - your hooked.
BTW, I think the ending call and response "We are BABYMETAL!" is a tribute to Japan's greatest Metal band "X Japan" who used to end their shows with a similar call and response "We are X!"
I am so glad that you weren't "one and done". There is SOO much more to explore in the BABYMETAL world. You have a couple paths to choose from: go ack and watch BABYMETAL from the beginning ("Doki, Doki Morning", "Ijime, Dame, Zettai", "iine", "Headbanger") or jump to the present ("Pa Pa Ya", "Shanti", "Elevator Girl")… Either way, you're in for a hell of a ride!!!
So most of us know the reaction you just had because we had it.. so to answer some of your thoughts.
They literally created the concept of Kawaii Metal.. and yes calling them cute is fine. They generally perform for about 60 minutes (maybe 75 minutes for their huge arena shows in Japan), partly because they perform at that pace for the whole concert! Also they do not do encores. BM fans at concerts are insanely friendly, they performed in the UK a couple of weeks ago and I met americans, japanese, belgians, germans, spaniards, swedes, finns, and goodness who else all traveling to see them live. And the mix of people is awesome, we had a couple with the guy in a suit fresh from work, couples, men and women, and several kids (wearing ear defenders!).. it is very diverse.
The core and reason the group was created is Su-metal the vocalist, she has the ability to sing perfectly while jumping around and is only 21 (she has been in BM for 9 years now). If you want to see just how athletic they are watch the Road of Resistance performance at Glastonbury 2 weeks ago. Here with Yui gone they have a fill in dancer. Bear in mind she has been performing like this herself for years and a professional dancer. At the end she is panting , covered in sweat and looks exhausted (and she was only dancing). The camera then pans across Su (and Moa) who just danced AND sang they they are not even breathing hard. Su looks as if she is about to start she is so fresh.

As for a video I understand wanting to avoid newer stuff but you really should see their latest song and performance from one of their Japanese concerts a couple of weeks ago.
ua-cam.com/video/oO7Y8NsnkRg/v-deo.html
Wait til you see the videos of where these girls came from. They've been performing together since they were little kids. Tiny Moa and Yui are cuter than a stadium full of puppies and kittens.
Saw them recently in London. You will LOVE it!! The crowd and atmosphere was amazing. I'm 56 by the way, well 20 with 36 years experience.
Hi. I'm Japnese Babymetal Fan. I'm very happy you participate us.
Babymetal shouted out "We are BABY METAL" means Including all audience in there.
They makes all performance with audience in their concert .
So surely you can do that and enjoy at your babymetal time.
You are luky beautiful lady.
If you cried to this, wait until you see Akatsuki (both unfinished and finished version), Rondo of Nightmare (with Mischiefs of God intro), No Rain No Rainbow (Legend S)
All of them should be live version
Another great reaction! I just wanted to point out that this concert was at Saitama Super Arena which had a 20,000 capacity. The place they will be playing on October 1st has a 2,500 capacity. So it will be a lot smaller but you will still have a great time.
It's important to know this 2,500 capacity show won't have the big stage.
Q&A Session: Begin
----
Q: How do they have that much energy?
A: This was the closing number of an 80 minute set. All three of our little sisters have been training in vocals and dance since a very young age and are consummate professionals. Their choreographer is Mikiko Mizuno who also works with Perfume and Sakura Gakuin. Mikiko was the lead choreographer for the Section of the 2016 Olympic Games Closing Ceremonies Introducing Japan as the next host country and she is the Lead Choreographer for the 2020 Olympic Games in Japan.
----
Q: Do I really get to see this live??
A: Not likely. This production was from 2014 and much has changed with the group, including the death of one of the lead guitarist, Mikio "Kogami- Sama"(Little God) Fujioka, and the departure of Yui Mizuno, a.k.a. Yuimetal, due to unspecified health issues. A three girl rotation, with just one of them on the stage with Su and Moa to fill Yui's spot is the current line up after fans voiced their disapproval of the multiple "Backup Dancers" that were on stage during last year's tour. The song is still played at some festivals and certain venues however the volume of new music leading up to their anounced 3rd album means it's uncertain if this particular song will be part of the current US touring set-list. But do not dispare, they have about 40 songs out there and almost every one of them will grabb'ya just like these first two have!
----
Q: Why am I crying?
A: You were just witness to a display of sonic and visual mastery the likes of which are rarely beheld in these modern days. Welcome to "The One"(its what they call their fan base).
----
So may I suggest for your next video the final song from their Break Out event and first Major Festival in the West, 'Ijime, Dame, Zetti' (means No more Bullying Forever), at the 2014 Sonisphere Festival. Originally booked in one of the smaller side tents, they were moved to the main stage as one of the first acts of the day (a notoriously BAD slot) in front of 60k+ British metal heads known to throw bottles of piss at groups they do not like and there to see groups like Iron Maiden and others later in the day, our girls take the stage. By their final song, they had converted the Masses and left them chanting "We Want More!!"

Put your Kitsune UP!!!
If you want a total change of pace and a chance to see why her fans call her Queen Su, may I suggest No Rain No Rainbow from Legend S. This is a pure power ballard with Su singing solo. It really shows off the power of her voice. Additionally there is no chance it will be performed on the tour. It is very rarely performed and I don't think ever outside of Japan.
This is a very emotional performance as it was a special 20th birthday concert for Su in her home city of Hiroshima (20 is their coming of age in Japan). Additionally for fans this is one of the very last recorded performances by one of their guitarist Mikio Fujioka who sadly died shortly after this.

That was a great video, thank you for sharing your thoughts and feelings :)
I really liked when you said "I don't care what language it's sung in, I don't care where the music is from, if it's good, I'll listen to it". I went like 'Hell yeah!' haha
And that was after the show had went on for well over an hour!
BABYMETAL makes a sound that is best described as joy.
Like Richard Townsend below (Kitsune up!), I am a 54 year old metal musician and songwriter, and I have been playing in working bands for over 40 years,
I am a Ol' salty Dog from Miami Fl and I was already crying way before you started to when I watched this video.
Honestly I was choking up hard, bawling, runny nose, and it 's pretty much like that every damn time I watch BABYMETAL,
it doesn't even matter how many times I have seen the video before. It's just ridiculous.
I loved that they moved you too, right from the start, just like to Karate the other night. (when i first visited your channel and subscribed!).
A lot of people just cant seem to wrap their head around this band right away.
It is interesting that most reactors have to be about three songs in before it clicks for them, but it almost always does.
You "got it" right away and I am certain that means something beautiful about your soul!
The song writing, the musicians, the choreography, the stages, lighting, crowds, backstory, history. Everything about this act is next level.
They literally invented their very own genera and have made it one of the fastest growing generas in the World today,
and they were well on their way to achieving it all before their 16th Birthdays had passed.
You're just two steps into the Foxhole, just wait, its just a taste of what lays ahead!
Welcome to The One!
Kitsune up!
They make me cry like a kid fairly regularly! God help me if they focus on Mikio (RIP), I'm a blubbering mess! BJ, Miko Fujioka was a guitarist in the Kami Band. He was a virtuoso on the guitar like no other. He was a guitar instructor at Musicians Institute of Tokyo, and was the guitar teacher of Takayoshi Ohmura, one of the other Kami Band members. He was an avid amateur astronomer. He was stargazing on a high observation platform New Year's eve 2017 when he fell off. He died in the hospital about a week or so later. This was so devastating, but the band pushed through a rough year (Yui Mizono left also due to health issues ), and they came back stronger than ever!
BABYMETAL is amazing I’m 19 year old male and I love babymetal down to my core. The fan base is amazing and I hope you get to see them live. I first saw them this year and I was so emotional at the end of it. BABYMETAL is taking over the world. We are proud to help you and we love seeing new people getting into BABYMETAL and will support you. We all went through the shock and awe that is BABYMETAL and we want to make your BABYMETAL experience the best it can be. Can’t wait to see you next! Welcome to The ONE!!! 🤘KITSUNE 🦊
The girls at that time were around 17 and 15 years old,but this performance is unbelievable.
Things that make grown men cry. Yeah, you're not the only one.
You just saw the closing performance. So basically the last song of the day. It's almost 2 hours show I think. Saying they have so much energy is an understatement.
Welcome to the family, and congratulations on achieving 2% of getting to know BABYMETAL.
Now, older songs, these songs are technical, very difficult to play, it highlights the musical and vocal aspects: Amore, Akatsuki, Tales of Destinies, Road of Resistance Megitsune, Rondo of Nightmare
These songs are catchy, very entertaining to watch: iine, doki doki morning, gimme chocolate, catch me if you can.
The next you want to see is Ijime, Damme, Zettai, live in Sonosphere, UK 2014.
I'm in my 40's also. Their fans really widespread, young and old. They even held a special show for the young and old. It's just crazy. And there's so much to tell.
This is going to be a fun journey. Great video! Have fun at the show. I'm going to 2 myself.
Me too, Chicago and KC!
MetalNcarnet I’m jealous. I’m still waiting for them to come to Canada
I have been listening/watching this song/video so many times... And still getting goosebumps at the "wooo oooo" part. And that ending explosion "booof" I can feel the emotion you're going through. Awesome reaction👏👏👏 Can't wait for your next babymetal reaction video. Put your kitsune up!!! 🤘🦊🤘
don't forget to breathe and scream when you watch them live and enjoy it as much as possible :)
I gotta see them...I'm 47 in NY..lol...love it..
泣けるのわかる〜。
Welcome to the "Fox Hole" sister. I too barely discovered Baby Metal in April of this year. A buddy of mine posted a video of a live performance on FB back in 2016 (I think it was Gimme Chocolate). Due to my ignorance, I brushed it off as "Oh, it's just a Japanese thing". Yeah...messed up, huh? The 3 videos that made me realize the power of the Fox God: CATCH ME IF YOU CAN-with the intro by the Kami Band. (Dude, that band is freakin' Awesome!). The HEADBANGER performance at Makuhari Messe was the kick in the ass I needed to genuinely appreciate Baby Metal. Finally, this same video of ROAD OF RESISTANCE genuinely melted my face off. (the album version is just as narly). Su Metal's voice just goes with the music. They have tracks that I guess are more J-Pop influenced, but that makes sense coming from this band. As of June,I now have a playlist of Baby Metal on my Spotify. LOL! I mean, these girls were meeting/shaking hands with Metal Gods while on tour, and blowing the roofs off of arenas around Japan before they were 20yrs old! They just Have the power of music, man. Baby Metal certainly left their imprint upon a new generation of Kawaii metal fans. I may have missed their years of existence before 2019, but thanks to ye ol' UA-cam machine: I have a better appreciation for all things Baby Metal. I think Japan gets the privilege of these epic & awesome big production shows. With the exception of their show in Los Angeles this year, I think they will be playing "smaller " venues across the US this year. Regardless, i'm certain that even 1,000 Baby Metal fans can bring the energy of 10,000 members of The One to the show. Congratulations on getting the opportunity to attend a show! Have fun!!
Welcome. I'm a 51 yo male, have seen them twice and have 2 shows for this year. They are the apitamy of perfection. BABYMETAL....the ONLY band that makes you feel like a proud parent 🤘🦊
I know. I know, it makes you cry.
That part in the beginning, when SuMetal point at the crowd and spreads her arms then the crowd parts....that is the "Wall Of Death"
I love your pure reaction. I'm also cried so many times by their performance. They are wonderful.
Im 43 yrs old dad and a metalhead. Been listenin to Ol skool metal like Megadeth to Burzum and I too cry after watching this clip..I'm like so proud of them like they r my own daughters.
What a great reaction. All I can say is, welcome to the ONE, and enjoy your journey down the Fox hole.
You have a beautiful soul.
As far as reactions are concearned, I have seen so many suggestions already from my fellow fans/family in this comment section, I couldn´t possibly suggest any better myself. I just hope you keep reacting to them, as they are truly the most special band on the planet, judging from this emotional and truthful reaction, I am sure you are starting to see that for yourself.
Put your KITSUNE UP!
Great reaction!!! One of the best yet! Welcome to the fox hole, Enjoy the ride! 🤘🦊🤘 so glad you get to see them! I just found Babymetal this year also, made me feel like I was living under a rock. I get to see them twice in one weekend this Oct when they come out here to Cali. 🤘🦊🤘 Looking forward to more reactions. Kitsune up 🤘🤘
Great emotional reaction! I am one of those mid 50's metal heads that instantly fell in love with BabyMetal. To me, a lot of what drives the emotion in these reactions is that people who love metal music are hit by a tidal wave of "fresh air." Hearing and seeing something so new and fresh in a genre that you love, but that has been on life support for decades now, just brings in a rush of emotions. That is compounded by the fact that it is being done by three teenage girls, and they are mixing genres that are NOT supposed to go together.....but it totally works. We can thank Japan for that. Musically, Japan has always been known as a kinda "wheels off" place. All the normal rules don't apply. With that in mind....here is a suggestion for something every bit as glorious as Baby Metal.......the all girl Japanese rock band called "Band Maid." I can guarantee you will fall in love and you will cry. They may be the best thing out there today.
The irony of BABYMETAL is its charm. Pop and metal don't really mesh together, but the irony is they are able to do it and we can't explain why. But, the more you dig deep into them, the more you love them.
Plus, the thing about them is that we as fans view them differently. The younger fans, especially young girls, see them as role models, while the older fans see them as their sisters or daughters. Also, the fan base is one big family, basically. Doesn't matter where you are, if you love BABYMETAL, you're family! So, welcome to the family!
And if you want to see them in their humble beginnings, I suggest you go watch their former group, Sakura Gakuin, with their song "Verishuvii" or you can also try "Hello, Ivy!" See if you can identify the BABYMETAL girls. 😉
You should've made.a road trip with your friend to the LA Forum on Oct, 11th to see BaByMetaL. I'm pretty sure the concert Is going to be a Japan style concert to celebrate the release of their new album Metal Galaxy. But , have fun seeing them in Tempe.
I've often wondered about my frequent emotional reactions to Babymetal as well. I mean, I'm a grizzled old curmudgeon, but these girls really activate something unique in me. I think it's pride. You quickly get a sense of how hard they're working out there, as well as how brave they are to be doing it at all, especially in a genre that could be and often is hostile to their style, and when they succeed you just feel so happy for them, and glad that they're getting the love they deserve from the crowd. You're always rooting for them. When they win you over to their side, you end up on their side ALL THE WAY. Looks like you're there.
