In an interview two or three years ago the first question they were asked "How are you feeling right now?" Moa's reply "Hungry, I need to eat fried chickens".🍗🍗🍗 They talked about 'BxMxC' in another interview. SU-METAL: That was my first rap experience. For most of my recordings up until now, I would sing “la la laa” to create a sort of vocal line, and then lyric writing began based on that. But it was different for this track, they had a backing track and lyrics, and then told me to try rapping. So at first I was still trying to figure it out. In hiphop they call it…it was like…ah, I forget! MOAMETAL: Wasn’t it…f-…fall? SU-METAL: Uh…what was it… KOBAMETAL (their producer): Flow? SU-METAL: Flow! (laughs) To get a feel for the flow, I made a lot of different attempts to figure out what would be good. Like how to descend and ascend in pitch, and which timing would be the best to try the pitch changes. Even for the same phrase I’d try going a little ahead of the beat or a little bit behind it, while keeping the whole track’s balance in mind. BABYMETAL live is always a step up from their studio recordings. A lot of fans didn't like this at all when they first heard it - "too many effects and autotune on Su's vocals" and they thought they could and would not play it live. Happily they were proved very wrong and Su kills it without the effects and autotune - and as you saw and heard for yourself this song hits hard live.🤘 It was not on the international release of the album, it was a Japan exclusive ... but they had it on the set list every night for the UK and Europe tour in 2020 and they took the roof off every venue with it. Experienced their performance of this in 2020 at the Apollo in London ( just before lockdown ) the audience reaction nearly blew the roof of the venue it's great live and BabyMetal is my all time favourite Band no one even close to them ❤😁🤘🏼🦊🤘🏼
That bit at the end with the kicks and headbanging is one of the greatest parts of any of their performances, and that's a massively high bar. I love it
Welcome back & thanks again from Japan 有難う💛。Su-Metal is singing about some established style which used to be revolutionary and literally "stylish" but has turned already hackneyed or obsolete like an "Illusion of Rusted Chain" (last phrase of Su's rapping). Lyrics are suggesting breakthrough or changing the status-quo (including the status of BM itself). When I heard the studio version of BxMxC, I was skeptical that this challenging song would be played live on stage. But they did it flawlessly with clear vocal and sharp choreo. I witnessed it live for the first time on March 15, 2021 in 10 BABYMETAL BUDOKAN concerts. I, a poor skeptic, had to beg our Queen & Princess for their forgiveness. 🥶 I enjoyed this song live three time thereafter with, I believe, being absolved.

Other fans even thought that they would never perform it live (it has a lot of voice effects for obvious stylistic purpose which are not present in the live version fortunately). But they premiered it live in January 2020 and they killed it (as you can hear and see partially here, since it's a compilation). As an old hiphop-head, I am always amazed at how Su-metal is able to have the attitude and swag necessary to pull off a rap-metal song like this without looking corny or coming off as a poser....especially knowing and seeing how much of an adorable dork she is offstage or when she was younger during the Sakura Gakuin days!🤘🦊🤘

The acapella part reminded me of the scene when Su answered the teacher's question in Sakura Gakuin. Like a machine gun fast, continuous, uninterrupted, but every word is very clear. It wasn't until the release of BxMxC that fans knew that was her talent for rapping.😄🦊
It's official, you have a severe case of Babymetallitis. There is no cure. Symptoms may alleviate over time, but flareups are frequent and pretty intense 😁. I wasn't too keen on the studio version at first (too much autotune), but that all changed once I heard a live version of the song.

Yeah. BMC hits hard as hell. And Su puts to shame a huge part of today's rappers. Her flow is amazing. Goes to show why she's our Queen! I dare say BMC is top 3 heaviest BM songs. This live version is extended tho. Which is something Im not in the slightest bothered by. There's a MV of it, which uses thr studio audio. Many thought she wouldn't be able to pull it live...until she did it. I'm still suggesting you take a look ate Black Babymetal: "Sis Anger". To me this song is as phenomenal as the whole band. I started up not really liking it, but it quickly became one of my favourites. As usual, BABYMETAL really surprised me with this, but it was not a surprise like a gentle tap on the shoulder from behind, they just flung me around and punched me in the face. Then they helped me up and punched me in the face again. It slaps so hard. I was one of those who thought we would never see this live after hearing the studio version, because there was so much electronics in it. But they just did it. They just took the effects away from Su's vocals and replaced them with her skill. She just levelled up and did it. Still baffles me. But it's not just that. From hearing just the music, one might imagine a 250 pound huge guy in gold chains doing the vocals. But instead we get this tiny, skinny 5'2" girl who for some reason comes across absolutely legit with the same mannerism that you'd expect from that huge guy. If the song requires a huge guy in gold chains, she just turns into one for the course of a song, simple as that. Don't even get me started on the acapella verse or the -machine gun- double bass drum blasts at the end... It's just phenomenal.
the music video has su-metal and moametal competing in a fighting video game, so your reference is correct. it's just another example of how diverse babymetal's music is time and time again.
Although I love the live versions, I think all studio songs should be heard. We should value studio albums as much as live performances. That's why I don't really like to see reactions from certain bands, because people usually prefer it live and put studio work aside.

BxMxC was never on the International album release of Metal Galaxy. A fact which stings given it was probably the best track on the entire F**** album lol. It was a Japan exclussive which thankfully they are course correcting on tour!! This song is brilliant & even better live!! I wish they added Kingslayer or Karate as well but so far that hasn't happened. Still the tour is looking epic and Vegas can't come soon enough!! 🤘🦊🔥
Its goood, shockingly good. I tend to be very elitist and choosey with hiphop and rap. It just was the music next to stuff like Marilyn Manson, limp bizkit, linkin park, iron maiden, scorpions... I grew up with. On the HipHop/Rap side stuff like 2Pac, Eminem, Dr. Dre, Kool Savas ... after dating myself time to get to my point. But Sue is horrorfyingly proficient and moved me to like this song despite she not being able to stand up to wordsmiths of old and repeating bars, but I'm no songwriter so maybe this was intentional to fuse it better with the rest of the music xD 🤘🦊🤘. As an old hiphop-head, I am always amazed at how Su-metal is able to have the attitude and swag necessary to pull off a rap-metal song like this without looking corny or coming off as a poser....especially knowing and seeing how much of an adorable dork she is offstage or when she was younger during the Sakura Gakuin days!🤘🦊🤘

I just saw them perform this song a few hours ago. They put on such a great show even if it's in a small venue. The crowd was so pumped. Great reactions.
The acapella part reminded me of the scene when Su answered the teacher's question in Sakura Gakuin. Like a machine gun fast, continuous, uninterrupted, but every word is very clear. It wasn't until the release of BxMxC that fans knew that was her talent for rapping.😄🦊

This live version is extended tho. Which is something Im not in the slightest bothered by. There's a MV of it, which uses thr studio audio. Many thought she wouldn't be able to pull it live...until she did it.

To me this song is as phenomenal as the whole band. I started up not really liking it, but it quickly became one of my favourites. As usual, BABYMETAL really surprised me with this, but it was not a surprise like a gentle tap on the shoulder from behind, they just flung me around and punched me in the face. Then they helped me up and punched me in the face again. It slaps so hard.
I was one of those who thought we would never see this live after hearing the studio version, because there was so much electronics in it. But they just did it. They just took the effects away from Su's vocals and replaced them with her skill. She just levelled up and did it. Still baffles me.
But it's not just that. From hearing just the music, one might imagine a 250 pound huge guy in gold chains doing the vocals. But instead we get this tiny, skinny 5'2" girl who for some reason comes across absolutely legit with the same mannerism that you'd expect from that huge guy. If the song requires a huge guy in gold chains, she just turns into one for the course of a song, simple as that.
Don't even get me started on the acapella verse or the -machine gun- double bass drum blasts at the end...
It's just phenomenal.

Although I love the live versions, I think all studio songs should be heard. We should value studio albums as much as live performances. That's why I don't really like to see reactions from certain bands, because people usually prefer it live and put studio work aside.

BxMxC was never on the International album release of Metal Galaxy. A fact which stings given it was probably the best track on the entire F**** album lol. It was a Japan exclussive which thankfully they are course correcting on tour!! This song is brilliant & even better live!! I wish they added Kingslayer or Karate as well but so far that hasn't happened. Still the tour is looking epic and Vegas can't come soon enough!! 🤘🦊🔥

A couple suggestions for additional reactions Rondo of Nightmare with Mischiefs of Metal Gods intro and Baby Metal Death
Its goood, shockingly good. I tend to be very elitist and choosey with hiphop and rap. It just was the music next to stuff like Marilyn Manson, limp bizkit, linkin park, iron maiden, scorpions... I grew up with. On the HipHop/Rap side stuff like 2Pac, Eminem, Dr. Dre, Kool Savas ... after dating myself time to get to my point.
But Sue is horrorfyingly proficient and moved me to like this song despite she not being able to stand up to wordsmiths of old and repeating bars, but I'm no songwriter so maybe this was intentional to fuse it better with the rest of the music xD 🤘🦊🤘.
It takes a bit of getting used to but hope yall enjoy^^
