This January, during Road of Resistance, I was running around in the circle pit in Japan, with tears in my eyes and a huge smile on my face... and I am a 75 year old geezer. Only BABYMETAL can make us do such things.
Great reaction, thanks! "It keeps going" Nope, they actually cut short that outro for the music video purpose. It has another two minutes of the "We are? BABYMETAL" with the ladies going to the two smaller side stages through the traditional bridges... and Hideki Aoyama, the drummer, being on fire. 😁 This was the epic final encore of an epic concert, New Year Fox Festival, held at Saitama Super Arena in January 2015. And this is one of their best live performances overall. But to be honest, the whole concert is pretty impressive. Su-metal still remembers that moment when they walked through the main (and liftable) bridge, with the crowd chanting along, as one of her favorite moments on stage (and she even made this song her personal anthem). And you can tell by her expressions, because she's on fire specially during the second half of the song. To the point she verbalized it by shouting "Kakatte koi yaa!" ("Bring it on!") at certain moment. Until next time! 🤘🦊
Last night I saw the "Metali" fancams from the BabyMetal Atlanta concert 09/03/2023 several times. That show has amazing performances and the best fans like this video. The crowd has always been one of the most important parts of a BabyMetal show.
Hey friend! I have looked through your reactions.. and as you are a drummer.. you really have to see the band shine. Rondo of Nightmare - Mischief of the Metal Gods intro.. and Kagerou with Kami band intro.... you are seriously missing out. Btw.. they are different bands.. East band (Rondo) is japanese musicians.. West band (Kagerou) is western and they are equally amazing with their own styles. Super awesome! Ahhh I should say.. they are the babymetal backing bands of course!!!
Thanks again from Japan 有難う💛。 This song must be very special for UK, BABYMETAL's second home. It was premiered at the Brixton, London on Nov.8, 2014. The UK audience quickly adjusted and started "wow wow" chant to Su-Metal's direction notwithstanding that no one in the world had listened to this song before. Japanese fans appreciated what the mates in UK did but felt a little bit jealous of them because the live debut of this anthemic song was not done in their homeland. In your video, Su shouted some words at 07:44 meaning "Bring them on!". Fans analyzed that the provocative shout was thrown at people who had been ignoring, underrating, mocking, hating and even trying to discredit BABYMETAL. That shout may have been necessary in 2015 but not any longer. She shouted it occasionally since then or when she does, it is with her friendly voice and smile that I love. The girls have grown up into beautiful ladies. The maturity has added more attractiveness to this band and this song.
I live in the UK and was at that Brixton show! The entire thing was absolutely incredible and I consider myself lucky to have seen them at such a small show so early on in their career.

This was an epic closer to an epic concert! Actually, this concert would be great for a reaction! “Legend 2015 New Year Fox Festival”. Also, 5:20 , negative, Su-metal needs to drag out the “whoah whoah’s” so drummer Hideki can take a breather before he goes ham on 32nd double bass kicks for minutes on end as the girls go stage right, left, (cut from this video) then back to center for their “we are? 3:18 _Now Pizza Time (Pizza Time!)_ 🦊🤘🍕 Nice to see you're back with this suggestion. Now with another hit they don't wanna leave behind in almost any of their setlist, like recently at The Babyklok Tour in the US using this an ender just like in this clip. Btw you got the title right but you said "Road To Resistance" which is wrong oc. _Road Of Resistance_ is a fantastic power/speed metal song, is one of their most epic anthem and the album version got the guitar arrangements made by Sam Totman and Herman Li from DragonForce, that's why some got "Through The Fire and Flames" vibes, and is all about facing your own path without looking back. The wall of death is nuts just like you noticed, is also called "mosh'sh pit", different from usual mosh pit because this one is safe to participate if you fall everyone will stop until you get up and get ready to keep going with the fun ride. This was part of the Trilogy Of 2015 series of concerts, live at New Year Fox Festival - Saitama Super Arena, is the last song of the encore they performed and finishing the show. By this time their fame was already high due to viral success on YT of Gimme Chocolate! MV, people from all over the world attended this live concert in Japan, and 20K souls witnessed this epic moment. With only 15 and 17 years old this moment will be forever remember when they performing this song to reminds them all the support they got from their fans no matter where they go, either a small or big stages. The Kami Band here are magnificent set of elite musicians who were send to help the girls with the metal sound, they rotate so probably you won't see some of them in all live concerts (especially the guitarists), all of them are males. BM fans love some members of this band but none of them are official members of this group not even permanent, they only play live, so when you heard album tracks remember they aren't playing there. In this case they are: - Leda Cygnus, god of guitar, he's the only Kami Band member who's credited as a session musician when recording certain songs. - Takayoshi Ohmura, god of guitar, he's Míkio' Fujioka's pupil (another beloved Kami Band guitarist who sadly past away) and a prodigy child, you'll see his recognizable pink guitar or golden in other moments. - BOH, god of bass, he's the bald one and not only got amazing talent but her fun way to enjoy reminds me Flea from RHCP. - Hideki Aoyama, god of drums, he comes from a family of expert drummers, and his father is very famous in Japanese music scene. At the end of their shows they always said "We are BabyMetal!" with the crowd, to making them sure that they're part of this show and project too, is a line borrowed to X-Japan saying it at live concerts too. If you like this type of metal genre then you're gonna love another previous song from first album called: - *"Ijime Dame Zettai"* live at Sonisphere Festival 2014 and witness a precious and epic moment on their career. You can find that clip in the official channel but just be careful coz sometimes is getting blocked issues. Next suggestion: - Sis Anger live at Tokyo Dome 2016, this is a Black Babymetal song and you can find the full clip with logo at BMRR (Reactor Resource) under Angry Sis title. Thanks for sharing this and see you next time.🦊🤘🔥
"its still going, its still going" the irony of that is that this video cuts about 8 "WE ARE.... BABYMETAL" from the actual show this was recorded at. They did it four times each from the side stages as well before coming back to the center for the big long one at the end. Added about another full minute to the performance. I assume they cut that part for brevity overall, but Hideki was going nonstop on those double pedals the entire time. This is how BABYMETAL ends their shows, the bigger the show the more "WE ARE" Its one of their two main closing songs, and you can clearly see why.
Joely, since you are a drummer, you should react to the videos titled "BABYMETAL - Rondo of Nightmare Live @ Budokan Black Night" and/or "Babymetal - Tales of the Destinies (Tokyo Dome Live 2016) Eng Subs". Both are highly technical songs and have complex timings. Rondo has the "Mischief of God intro" which I know you will love, while Tales is influenced by Dream Theater, so you know it's crazy technical.🤘🦊🤘
You've got the 475 likes. Any thoughts about what concert you want to do yet? In my opinion, their two shows at Tokyo Dome are the pinnacle of BABYMETAL concerts. Back-to-back sold-out nights without repeating a single song (including one song that has only been performed live once). It would be either a fantastic place to start watching BABYMETAL concerts, or a great spot to aim towards in a journey through their concerts.
Road of Resistance: Live In Japan 🇯🇵 @"Saitama Super Arena (SSA):- "Road of Resistance" is a song by the Japanese Kawaii metal band Babymetal. The song was released worldwide as a digital single on February 1, 2015 by Toy's Factory, serving as the lead single off the international re-release of the album Babymetal, as well the opening track from Metal Resistance. Su-Metal was 10 when she performed with Karen Girls at the SSA (SAITAMA SUPER ARENA). The Arena that night holds about 20000 Babymetal fans but when you see the centrepiece Island and the two curve bridge, it can hold up to 30000 or even up to 40000 depends on the configuration of Babymetal concert for each tour they performed. This song is co-written by Dragonforce with Herman Li and Sam Totman plays the guitar 🎸 solos, but Kami Band live show is brutal and tight. This is a classic Power Metal genre or speed metal as some might refer to. Bands like Dragonforce, Helloween and even Sabaton do power metal genre. Arkadia from Metal Galaxy Album is the successor to Road Of Resistance. At 17 Su-Metal alongside Yuimetal and Moametal who is 15 at that time, gave a perfect 👌 performance on how live show should be. This performance alone cemented my love ❤️ and appreciation for Babymetal. Kitsune Up 🦊🦊🦊🤘🤘🤘😍💕🌸🇯🇵🇸🇬#notacult. . Babymetal singles chronology:- •"Megitsune" (2013). •"Road of Resistance" (2015). •"Gimme Chocolate!!" (2015). Background and release:- "Road of Resistance" includes guest appearances by DragonForce guitarists Herman Li and Sam Totman. The song would be used to mark the beginning of the band's lore, Metal Resistance Episode III, at the concert held on November 8, 2014 at O2 Brixton Academy in London, which was also the final tour date for the band's Babymetal World Tour 2014. A trailer for the song was released on January 5, 2015, integrating footage from the debut performance of the song in London. The song was first released as a digital bonus track off the live album Live at Budokan: Red Night, with limited editions of the album containing a download card with a code to download the song at no additional charge. The song was later released as a dedicated digital single on the iTunes Store on February 1, 2015. Li and Totman are featured on guitars, although they are listed as featured artists in various regions of the re-release of the album Babymetal, on which the song appears as a bonus track, mainly in the United Kingdom. Composition:- Rolling Stone described the song as "power metal" with "shiny pop harmonies". Rock Sound called the song "everything we’d expect from [Babymetal] with a bit of Dragonforce’s exhilarating, flame-fingered guitar added in for good measure." Matt Evans of The List called the song an "empowering hyperspeed anthem". According to Kadokawa, the song consists of twin shred guitars courtesy of Li and Totman, with a dynamic sound derived of melodic speed metal. The lyrics are described as a narrative on the Metal Resistance, which the band adopted on their world tour. It has also been considered the "final stage" of Babymetal and the prologue to Metal Resistance, and a transition performance that demonstrates the band's growth from the previous album. According to Su-metal, the song refers to the Metal Resistance lore, described as "the story of Babymetal traveling across the world in the hopes of creating a new metal to unify the world as we break through the barriers of language and borders. In the middle of the song there is a part where we go, ‘Wow, Wow’ and this is where our fans from around the world can sing with us at our concerts. I hope people will listen to our album and support us at our shows." Yuimetal stated in an interview with Metal Hammer that "Road of Resistance" is her favorite song from Metal Resistance, explaining that it "has been performed at so many concerts, so a lot of memories are jam-packed. The lyrics are positive, the sound is so cool, and [the] dance is so powerful." •Recorded by Watametal and Adrian Breakspear. •Mixed by Ettore Rigotti Personnel:- •Suzuka Nakamoto (Su-metal) - Main vocals. •Yui Mizuno (Yuimetal) - Backing vocals. •Moa Kikuchi (Moametal) - Backing vocals. •Kei Kobayashi (Kobametal / Kxbxmetal / Kitsune of Metal God) - executive producer, lyrics. •Miki Watanabe (Mk-metal) - lyrics. •Norikazu Nakayama (Norimetal) - music. •Nobuaki Miyasaka (Mish-Mosh) - music, arrangement. •Sari Miyasaka (Mish-Mosh) - music, arrangement. •Keiji Kusama (Kyt-metal) - music. •Kyoto - arrangement. •Leda - bass (Kami Band) •Herman Li - guitar (courtesy of Electric Generation Recordings Ltd. and Warner Music Japan Inc.) •Sam Totman - guitar (courtesy of Electric Generation Recordings Ltd. and Warner Music Japan Inc.) The arena was designed by Dan Meis, who at the time was working for architecture firm Ellerbe Becket, together with Nikken Sekkei. Meis's design was selected as a result of an international design competition. The arena features a gigantic movable section of seating which can reduce capacity for smaller events and create a more intimate setting. It is a favorite venue for puroresu (Japanese professional wrestling) and mixed martial arts (MMA). It has also hosted other sports events such as boxing, basketball, volleyball, tennis, ice hockey, and gymnastics. It is the only Japanese arena equipped especially for American football. When you see such a professional complete performance. And then realize this performance was on Saturday and by Monday they were back in school. 🙂 And a couple of months later... they are on their second world tour. But because they are kids, they can't perform late (Japanese law for working kids in entertainment), so all their shows start early. It all somehow makes it even better... More impressive at least ! Road of Resistance, in part because of the connection with Dragonforce, was first time performed end of 2014 in UK. It almost wasn't because the O2 Academy Brixton in London had a lot of reverb and a certain section didn't sound right because of it. But Yuimetal put her little foot down and said something like we need to do it because it fits our story, where they are at that point in their growth. So that section of the song was changed, we don't know what the original was like, I think some guitar parts might have been cut around the in the wow wow part ? This performance you saw, was the 3rd live performance (a small fan club only performance was sort of a rehearsal of this show). This 3rd performance looks like as if they've been performing it for over years, but it clearly wasn't. This obviously includes how the fans joined in. The young ladies have always said this song has a special place and this 2015 performance was special. From an interview, here is what was said about the 2014 performance a few months before (fan translated from Japan): That first Road of Resistance performance in the UK was unforgettable. It’s a song that expresses the strong will of BABYMETAL, and “let’s move forward as one”. It was at that show that I truly experienced the meaning of the lyrics. When I saw such a scene before me… it was our first extensive journey around the world, and I felt that BABYMETAL had been accepted warmly, with everyone pushing us forward… that’s what was on my mind. Then we saw the reaction of the audience as they magnified the song through their passionate response, and I realized the essence of it, “Oh, so this is what the song is about!” I understood what the song meant for us, and what BABYMETAL was moving towards. I think it’s because of this show that we could say, “we’re going to blaze our own path”. That performance boosted our confidence very much, and I think I gained a lot from it.
Mental isn’t it when you think about it!!! Amazing band 🙌🙌 Thanks for watching and thanks for the comment. Make sure to subscribe if you haven’t already 🙌

Pizza Time 🤘🏻🦊 Nice reactions. RoR is my favorite song, I was lucky to be able to hear it live during their World Tour in Asia (especially in Jakarta). The tickets weren't sold out and only over 2000 people showed up but I think that moment is on the list of loudest crowd interactions outside of Japan. Maybe you can see it when they performed this song in Jakarta (no need to react just saw it) Thank you 🤘🏻🦊🔥
good Babymetal live vids: -for a vocal change-up, Headbanger (Moametal version) , aka, Moabanger- (edit: nevermind, you already reacted to a version of Headbanger ; no need to redo it 🤦♂🤦♂😂😂 ) for seeing the band show off, pretty much anything that pops up when you search "kami band"
What concert to react to? Well hey, the one I was at last week… in Houston, the first show of their current tour. It’s on UA-cam. 🤘🦊🤘 spoiler: it was great!
"We are ... BABYMETAL!" Great reaction - that ending was actually cut short for the video by about 2 minutes as they went to each end of the stage (they had two more bridges and small stages) to shout with the crowd from there as well ... and all the while the Kami Band were going loco. This was also the end of a 90 minute concert - they had been keeping that same energy up without any drop in quality for the whole time. It is what they do - they appreciate people have often paid a lot of money and travelled a long way to see them, they never give anything less than 100% for every song at every concert, whether that is one of their big arena concerts in Japan or at the many various sized venues as they tour the world. About the song itself - 'Road of Resistance' is a very positive song, it isn't the usual "resist the machine or the system etc" that we might expect from the title. It is about forging your own road even where a road doesn't already exist, not necessarily going the easy way or following the path already made by somebody else, so if the way you want to go has never been trodden you may have to get past the resistance of the undergrowth, obstacles, hurdles and things blocking your way etc to find your own way. It could easily be used to describe BABYMETAL's own story - they could have followed the well trodden path of J-Pop and been very successful, but they chose to go with Metal ... but again they didn't just follow the same old format of every other metal band, they have done it their own way and it hasn't always been an easy route to follow. Herman Li and Sam Totman from DragonForce did the guitar arrangements for this song (it is the only one they were involved in) and recorded the guitars for the album version. They have said they made this more technical and faster than most of their own songs thinking they would never have to play it live ... and that they had to practice hard when they did perform it with BABYMETAL at an awards show in London later in 2015. This was the Kami Band playing live of course. In this concert the Kami band were Leda Cygnus and Takayoshi Ohmura on guitars (Takayoshi has the glitter pink guitar) with BOH on his 6 string bass and Hideki Aoyama on drums.

In this case they are:
- Leda Cygnus, god of guitar, he's the only Kami Band member who's credited as a session musician when recording certain songs.
If you like this type of metal genre then you're gonna love another previous song from first album called:
- *"Ijime Dame Zettai"* live at Sonisphere Festival 2014 and witness a precious and epic moment on their career. You can find that clip in the official channel but just be careful coz sometimes is getting blocked issues.
Next suggestion:
- Sis Anger live at Tokyo Dome 2016, this is a Black Babymetal song and you can find the full clip with logo at BMRR (Reactor Resource) under Angry Sis title.

This is how BABYMETAL ends their shows, the bigger the show the more "WE ARE"
Its one of their two main closing songs, and you can clearly see why.
Amazing show and a brilliant act.

Ahhh amazing I will definitely have to look into that for next week I reckon.
Thanks for watching 🙌🙌

You've got the 475 likes. Any thoughts about what concert you want to do yet? In my opinion, their two shows at Tokyo Dome are the pinnacle of BABYMETAL concerts. Back-to-back sold-out nights without repeating a single song (including one song that has only been performed live once). It would be either a fantastic place to start watching BABYMETAL concerts, or a great spot to aim towards in a journey through their concerts.
Ohhhh yes I will do this very soon 🙌🙌

Road of Resistance: Live In Japan 🇯🇵 @"Saitama Super Arena (SSA):-
"Road of Resistance" is a song by the Japanese Kawaii metal band Babymetal. Kitsune Up 🦊🦊🦊🤘🤘🤘😍💕🌸🇯🇵🇸🇬#notacult. .
Babymetal singles chronology:-
•"Megitsune" (2013).
•"Road of Resistance" (2015).
•"Gimme Chocolate!!" (2015).
Background and release:-
"Road of Resistance" includes guest appearances by DragonForce guitarists Herman Li and Sam Totman.
Composition:-
Rolling Stone described the song as "power metal" with "shiny pop harmonies".
The lyrics are positive, the sound is so cool, and [the] dance is so powerful."
•Recorded by Watametal and Adrian Breakspear.
•Mixed by Ettore Rigotti

Saitama Super Arena:-
"Saitama Super Arena (さいたまスーパーアリーナ, Saitama Sūpā Arīna) is a multi-purpose indoor arena located in Chūō-ku, Saitama, Saitama Prefecture, Japan. It opened preliminarily on May 5, 2000, and then officially opened on September 1 of the same year. Its spectator capacity is 36,500 at maximum settings,[3] making it the second-largest indoor arena in the world. The main arena capacity is between 19,000 and 22,500".
•Owner: Saitama Arena Corp.
•Capacity: 36,500 (stadium setting) 18,000 (arena setting).
The arena was designed by Dan Meis, who at the time was working for architecture firm Ellerbe Becket, together with Nikken Sekkei.
It formerly housed the John Lennon Museum, which displayed John Lennon memorabilia and closed in 2010.

When you see such a professional complete performance. And then realize this performance was on Saturday and by Monday they were back in school. 🙂
And a couple of months later... they are on their second world tour.
From an interview, here is what was said about the 2014 performance a few months before (fan translated from Japan):
That first Road of Resistance performance in the UK was unforgettable.
Amazing band 🙌🙌

Nice reactions.
