We got stuck at 09:00min into your video. Rocks were too slick for us to grab. I think I could’ve air down to 14-15psi but didn’t want to risk it. And this was during summer
How did you add rear locker onto that gx470? Were the stock rear differential a torsen? I'm looking to buy an eaton elocker for my 2011 4runner limited which has a torsen differential and an full-time awd. Wondering if I can fit a rear locker without binding the awd system
Stock front and rear differentials are open, with an electronic locking torsen center differential. I had a shop go in and regear my front/rear diffs to 4.88 gears and put in air lockers while they were in there. 2010+ 4 runner limited shares the center locker/AWD system with the GX460(2010+), which is very similar to the 470 (03-09 like I have). The locker can’t bind the AWD system system if used properly. Only use the locker when you’re off road and you’ll be fine.

Haha, watch the more recent videos i did at John Bull trail. The GX is a beast and kept up with some crazy SAS rock crawlers no problem. The Tacoma long wheel base helps in some cases and not in others. This video showed a section that really favored the LWB of the taco.

Yeah maybe 18psi wasn’t low enough. I’ll definitely bring it down next time
