You have videos that are well put together and peaceful. I don’t get out as often with my wife as we would like but Big Bear has become our favorite. That site is one of 2 yellow post sites I want to experience. What is the brand or link for that collapsible camp chair if you don’t mind me asking?
Nice video! Just curious, can a regular 2wd pick up make it along those roads? A side note, your video showing the forest is fantastic. 1 thing that I noticed is the forest is not overgrown with trees where as most of the forest in those mountains have too many trees. Too many trees makes the trees all compete for limited water which makes the trees weaker and makes them more susceptible to disease or parasites like the bark beetle. Also makes fires much larger and cause greater damage. IIRC, 25 trees/acre are enough for a healthy forest.
Great video! Very peacful!! Just found your channel, looks pretty cool... I personally just got my rrt and looking for accessible places. I have a stock prerunner "2wd". Is it possible to reach this spot with 2wd??? Thanks bud!👍
@@WhereWeAtTeam I thought it was a pretty great site! I do my best not to geo tag publicly in my videos so I have committed to exclusively sharing location info with my Patreon members. For those that are not interested in becoming a part of the Patreon community I try to show enough of the area that those who are willing to jump on maps and do some research should be able to find these spots relatively easily though.
@@slickspade yellow post campsites are designated campsites that usually have canoe tables, a fire ring and sometimes even a bear locker. In the big bear area they are the only place you can have a campfire outside of campgrounds (as long as there are no current fire restrictions). I like them because they still are more remote and dispersed, sometimes you need to off road to get to them.
I was trying to look for a quick weekend camping this coming holiday. For Big Bear Yellow Post Sites: Turns out "As of 7/2/2024 wood and/or charcoal BBQ fires are not allowed due to Forest Order 05-12-00-24-06."

how likely are u able to find a spot in mid june in big bear? Don't wanna head out there only for it to be super full and no space. Thanks in advance
I should clarify, on a saturday morning when we head out there
@@WhereWeAtTeam I actually don’t know. Haven’t been up there mid June on a Saturday before. Any other SoCal viewers able to answer this one for us?

do i need a fully equiped 4wd lifted truck to get there? or is it still accessible for just a normal stock suv? thank you
As long as rain and weather haven’t rutted it out you should be just fine. When I was there you would have been fine

Hi We're wonder if you stil interested in adding some lighting upgrades on your rig?:)
Thanks for the offer but really like the set up I have

Yeah I was out there in May. Gotta check current restrictions before your trip every time.
Hey bro! From 1 to 10, how much do u prefer the awning on the rear of the camper shell compared to the sides of it?
10 for sure. I pretty much do everything at the back of my truck and can’t see myself getting really any use out of it on the sides
Thnks for the feedback. I think I'm gonna do the same. I really enjoy ur content.
Thanks for the feedback. Imma do the same awning setup. I really enjoy your content. Keep up the good work.

Thanks! We already got back from the trip but I’ll mark it for next time! Making it a point to get back out there soon!
