When I was younger I used to do hundreds of standing plyometric pushups on lots of different angles on a deck,or fence or whatever switching angles as I got tired to try and go as long as I could as well as switching between inner and outer pushups and doing them explosively mixed with regular never stopping. It gave me a very fast and explosive snap jab like Larry Holmes which was very effective. Love your videos and expert advices

Even though most of this is stuff I find myself thinking about quite a lot, imagining how it will sound before I throw etc, it's great to have it confirmed. My problem is running out of ideas for combos that could be effective, or getting lazy and over-doing what I'm comfortable with. I like the resistance band idea, think I've only ever used dumbells, so will give that a shot also! Cheers

As usual, another superb Tony video. I use elbows, spinning back fist and kicks too, but can extrapolate most of these videos for my martial art. I've learnt heaps from this video, as usual, which I do from almost any Tony video. One terrific piece of equipment I've used for speed and timing, particularly straight punches in combinations, is the floor to ceiling ball. I can't see any of them in your gym, Tony? Is there a reason why?

I think Tony's boxing videos are easily the best instructional videos I've seen for any martial art. I can't get over how much I've learnt - and - put the techniques, combinations and sage advice into practice. I'm a teacher and semi-pro football coach too, so I have a high critical level. I've trained in kickboxing for 16 years, but there has been so much new knowledge acquired from Tony's videos just in the last few months.

@@Tony_Jeffries No, sir. I've been "binge watching" your videos, but haven't seen that one yet. That's next on my playlist. Thank you very much!

The "sound tip" reminded me of the movie "Trouble with the curve". Sounds very close to what we hear from Bruce Lee movies.
The advice is so much dope that I never even thought about using it when doing my heavy bag routine.

If you breathe with every punch I l get more air and less tired but doesn’t my mouth completely open and if I get countered in face it will hurt

Keep your jaw shut and chin tucked. Make an “s” sound when you punch so you don’t have to open your jaw. Exhaling while punching makes your punches more powerful as it tenses your core when you punch.
