1-1-2-left hook body-right hook head is probably the most satisfying combo to land perfectly. 1-1-2, backstep, 2 is also a favourite. For kickboxing 1-2-4 to the head is amazing 😍
I teach a fitness boxing class, but it's pretty realistic, where the higher level folks do some body sparring and light sparring drills. We're careful and I know who is on what level and the class is supportive and trustworthy. A combo I like to catch on the mitts is jab, slip my cross, left uppercut, pivot out. Or build it up to 1-2-1 (slip my right) 5, pivot out... trying to bait the person to throwing a right hand behind your left jab, slip it, and throw the uppercut under the arm. I catch with my left mitt on the underside of my right cross. Also like 1-2 (slip my left jab) (roll under my overhand right/right hook) land a liver shot left hook to the body 9. We LOVE your videos.
My coach has us practicing pretty much all of these combinations. It's a much different story trying to land these in sparring I'll tell you. This is gold content right here Tony. Thank you
Aus boxer 9yrz tons of good info here theres diff styles suiting different builds no one talks about but this is good actual info content watever u say if ur looking for tuition heres a great passionate teacher charging fu** all. Well done
@chl.advice.entertain I was the same way when I first started sparring. The more you do it the more confident and better to get. Just try to stay relaxed and control your breathing and stay focused. Don't close your eyes or turn away when you're getting hit. Stay calm and I promise you you'll land the shots that you want to throw
@@gimmebobuxcat5862 and that's exactly what your opponent expects, the predictable. A very good combo also but you got to lix it up to keep him guessing. Start with 1-2-1. Then after throwing that a few times, go to 1-2-1-1-2. Practice during shadow boxing and the heavy bag so it becomes muscle memory.
Ive recently taken up boxing, and with little to no guidance in my area, these videos are so helpful for my development. I can see improvements already following these tips!!! Thank you Tony.
Tony you absolutely don't need to give the guarantee that your video will help us! Your only name is enough now, your hard work, dedication and ability to go through hardships has made you a brand among all boxing channels on youtube. All the best good luck man 😊👍
I have actually been accumulating Tony's combos for a few years now and have them on a list where I pick 4 to do randomly. This is great to have everything consolidated into a single video thread. There is so much crap out there from people who might or might not know how to box. With Tony, you *KNOW* you're getting good advice and good combos.
🥰 Thankyou sir for sharing this great knowledge. 🥊🥊Before watching your videos, whenever I used to go to the boxing gym, I used to practice a lot of wrong punches and punch combination while practicing these wrong punches, there was improvement in my fitness but not in boxing and when I saw your videos, you have said in them that "Boxing is an education" and "perfect practice makes perfect " and this time I understand Boxing is an education and now I am trying to improve my Boxing in my traning sessions and your videos have helped me lot to improve my Boxing . Thank you Sir.❤️🥰

Hallo, sorry for my bad english. Hello Tony, i‘am a real fan. You are a good and fair sportsman and one of the best boxer in the world. Big respect and best wishes for you from germany. God bless you and your Family.
Am gonna start learning boxing form today I even made an make shift punching bag wish me luck homies i hope I can move and throw punches like Tony one day ❤
I like the way he breaks it down , What if your South paw so everything is the other way? I use this for my exercise routine . Before I didnt have idea this gives me structure and good habits
Tony, thank you for making these, it's a wealth of information you can't get in every gym. You'd be a good 5th grade teacher, stay away from 7th/8th that might be a match you can't win. I emailed it to myself so I have it on my phone as you suggested. It seems that some of your combos have a strategic plan to them, a plan that the initial punches are setting up a planned "money punch" for lack of better words...So my FIRST QUESTION is: are you conserving energy on those set-up punches? My SECOND QUESTION is; what if the opposition's defensive stance (glove placement) doesn't move, what if thier mitts don't come up or down, if they have their gloves over thier cheeks and their arms just "glued along thier rib cage' the entirety of the fight. Would you then abandon these strategies aka Your Game, to instead focus on counter-punching?
Hello, i have been watching your videos recently and im really motivated to start boxing. I have been watching some boxing clips from famous boxers such as Thomas Hearns and Manny and I am trying to start boxing as a hobby. I am really interested in the southpaw stance rather than the orthodox stance and i feel it to be better but my power hand is my right hand. Do you think it is a good idea?
I'm right handed as well, I also am a big fan of southpaw. What I do, I put power into my jabs and use my left to feint and use that momentum to do a lead right hook, it's also confusing to fight someone who uses south paw but hits real hard with his right. One Boxer to another, keep it up. In time
Thank you for this content on combinations! I'm sharpening up my boxing skills so I will def incorporate this into my bag work. I currently have 14oz gloves, would you recommend heavier ones for bag work?
By no means should you take my opinion over the professional but I'd agree that heavier gloves like 16oz would be better, building up that strength in your arms is a good idea 💪
What is your favorite combination? Let me know 👇

1-2-1-1-2 has been key in helping me dominate sparring sessions 😉
I keep accidentally throwing 1-2-1-2-1-2 whenever I don’t think hard enough about it 😅

For orthodox ^

Uppercuts are pretty killer on the inside if you get them good, especially if you are a shorter person. Many of Mike Tyson’s wins were from uppercuts.
My favorite combo is the 1-2 im self taught because i dont got much money so im a bit unrefined so i kinda spam it
2 hits is all u need, 3rd is the ground all day.
